The Paper Gets Season 2 Renewal

Just ahead of tomorrow's series premiere on Wednesday's The Today Show, series stars Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore announced that Peacock has renewed the series for a second season.

All 10 episodes of The Paper's first season are now available on the streamer as of Thursday, Sept. 4, following a recent schedule change that shifted the series from weekly releases to a binge-watch format. 

This series renewal is said to be a vote of confidence in the spinoff after NBCUniversal's positive reaction to the show's first episodes. TVLine reports that, according to a show representative, Daniels (the co-creator) has ideas for Season 2. This go-ahead lets him start work immediately and helps ensure the series returns next year, avoiding a long gap.
