Looking forward to the next season of After the Flood? Here's a first look at pictures of the new season.
ITV and BritBox released exclusive photos of the highly anticipated season of After The Flood, starring Sophie Rundle (Gentleman Jack and Peaky Blinders) as Jo Marshall. Along with Rundle, Lorraine Ashbourne (Bridgerton), Nicholas Gleaves (The Crown), and Matt Stokes (The Bodyguard) return. The six-part thriller is written, created, and executive-produced by BAFTA-nominated writer and actor Mick Ford.
Alun Armstrong (Breeders, Sherwood), Jill Halfpenny (The Long Shadow), Ian Pulseston-Davies (Pennyworth), Matthew McNutty (The Jett), Anil Desai (The Night Manager S2), Steph De Whalley (Doctor Who), and Lola Brown are joining the cast in the second season.
The series is layered with intense drama, and the first look photos offer a glimpse of the lead cast returning to their roles as they navigate the changing landscape of their town, from tensions between the corrupt Sergeant Mackie and his former ally Jack Randcliffe, as well as a mother-daughter moment between Molly and Jo, and the budding partnership between the newcomer and Jo.
The second season series of After the Flood finds newly promoted detective Jo Marshall on the trail of a baffling new murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and the subsequent risk of further flooding, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances. Jo's race to stop the killer puts her in direct conflict with powerful, influential forces within the town, ultimately drawing her into an investigation that becomes intensely personal. One that will require her to operate in secret if she is to have any hope of rooting out the corruption that has blighted the town's police force and her own family for decades.
Catch my review of the first season.
After The Flood, the second season is coming soon to ITV and STV, and is available to stream on ITVX, STV Player, and BritBox in North America.
