The cast changes at Firehouse 51 continue.
Just days after news broke that original cast member Joe Miñoso will leave Chicago Fire, it has now been confirmed that Dermot Mulroney will also exit the NBC drama during Season 15. According to reports, Mulroney's Battalion Chief Dom Pascal will depart early in the season as his storyline comes to a close.
Mulroney joined the series in Season 13 following the departure of Wallace Boden, stepping into the role of Firehouse 51's new chief. Although Pascal's strict leadership style initially created friction within the firehouse, he gradually earned the respect of the team. Last season, the character was briefly written out after being arrested and dismissed for unbecoming conduct before returning in the dramatic Season 14 finale.
The latest casting news signals a significant transition for Chicago Fire. Alongside Mulroney and Miñoso's departures, longtime showrunner Andrea Newman has stepped down, with Victor Teran taking over the role. Meanwhile, former All American star Da'Vinchi joins the series as firefighter candidate Marcus Burke.
Season 15 premieres Wednesday, October 7, on NBC.
What do you think about another major departure from Firehouse 51? Will you miss Dom Pascal, and how do you feel about all the changes heading into Season 15? Let me know in the comments.
