Lioness Renewed for Season 3

There will be more special ops in Lioness in the future.

On Wednesday, TVLine reported that Paramount+ has announced the renewal of Taylor Sheridan's action drama for a third season. Starring Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman, who also executive-produced, will return for the new season.

Fans and viewers will recall that the second season ended as the Lioness team went on a mission to stop two Chinese nuclear scientists, who were traveling with the Turkish military, from reaching a nuclear base in Iran. Everything went sideways, there were broken bones and near-death experiences, but at the end of the episode, Saldana's character Joe was able to return home husband Neal and their daughters. You can catch my recap and review of seasons one and two.

Lioness is the latest in Sheridan's series, extended by the streamer, following Tulsa King’s renewal for season four before season three airs. Landman was renewed for a second season in March, with the show returning in November. Mayor of Kingstown, renewed in December, returns in late October. The Yellowstone spinoff, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, and Kurt Russell, was ordered, but no premiere date has been announced.

Are you excited about the news of Lioness' renewal? The news isn't entirely unexpected, but I'm glad because the second season was so good and an improvement over the first.  Leave a comment.
