Friendship is about to get even messier.
The messy friendship at the center of Disney+’s Alice and Steve is officially getting another chapter. The comedy has been renewed for a second season, with the series streaming on Disney+ in the U.K. and Ireland and on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S, Variety has reported.
Starring Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, Alice and Steve follows Alice, who is horrified when her best friend Steve begins dating her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). Determined to end the relationship, Alice finds herself locked in an increasingly chaotic feud with the man who was once her closest friend.
Creator and writer Sophie Goodhart says audiences “will not be prepared for what happens next,” promising more surprises in Season 2.
The series premiered in June in the U.S., and surely made it a water cooler show with its characters. Check out my review of Season one.
