Gee, Wee Ga Lee Makes the Big Three: This Is Us "The Big Three"

Image result for This Is Us

The episode "The Big Three" has shown heart, a shocker and a catchy tune that should stick to you for a week.

This week's episode dived into some really good story lines with Kate and Toby, when Kate is struggling to lose weight but Toby hasn't. The two go to a Hollywood party that Kevin invited them to for his support. When Toby gets Kate to dance, she sees the other people at the party looking at them and laughing, feeling embarrassing (something that I would a lot of times).

Another was Randle and his father, William. When Randall's wife asked him about how long William will stay, Randall wants to try and help him with his health issue. But after a asking for money for the bus and coming home late, she talks to William and asked point blankly (like Kristina from Parenthood) if he's buying drugs until Randall came and opened up about the cat that he feeds, named Clooney.

And the one that probably stole the show was Jack and Rebecca, as we saw from the beginning a happy soon to be parents couple til now we see them dealing with the kids at an age around 8 years old. Rebecca feels that their struggling at parenting and the one thing that isn't helping is Jack and his coming home late drinking. She tells him to be a man and fix it and after a night sleeping in the hallway, Rebecca comes out and sits with him and he tells her that he's gonna give the drinking up and make them at a parenting level a 12.

Kevin storyline was okay but not one I have liked expect last week's pilot. Kevin, who quit the Manny show, his agent (played by Kathy Segal) forces him to apologizes to the head network guy ( played by Brad Garrett) at a party. He doesn't want to and Kate helps him deciding that he should tell the guy off. Not a good thing to do to a the Big Boss at a Big Network when your show is the third most watched comedy. Even after threatening, Kevin, he calls Randall for advice and after the two talk Kevin decided he quit not matter what happened.

This episode was amazing with some really good story lines and a catchy tune that Jack had the kids sing it out one by one: "First came me and dad and gee, then came me and dad said wee and the third one came and dad said ga lee that makes three...The Big Three!! We see and hear that in both story lines as it made the three kids (adults) closer.

There was a shocker after watching Jack and Rebecca getting pounced from the kids, listing to a great track of "Can't Find My Way Home," we go back to Randall and his family, William settling in helping and soon the doorbell rings, it's Randall's parents and as he came up we see Rebecca and a guy that Randall calls Miguel walks beside her with a smile. WOW! Right?

You can catch This Is Us at it's new time Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Oct. 11 on NBC.

Netflix renews Stranger Things for Season Two

The waiting from Netflix is over for the future of Stranger Things. The summer hit 1980's triller is renewed for a second season.

Season 2 will arrive sometime in 2017, it will consist of nine episodes. That's one more than the freshman season of eight. With the release of the teaser trailer, the story will pick up about a year later, in the fall of 1984. There are many returning characters are expected to comeback, though the creators of the series Mat and Ross Duffer aren't saying much about the key player, telling EW.com that Eleven' involvement is "up in the air."

Last month at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, the Duffer Brothers told reporters that a potential second season would delve into "bigger mythology" behind young Will Beyers' disappearance.

"There are definitely a lot of cliffhanger-y threads at the end (of season 1 finale)," explained Matt Duffer. "It's open-ended in a way that if people wanted it, and Netflix wanted it, we could explore it and continue the storyline."

Season 2 will add four new characters and venture "a little bit" outside Hawkins, Ind., the Duffers told EW.com.

You can catch the children actors of Stranger Things tonight on the Tonight Show at 11:34/10:34c on NBC and you can catch the first season of Stranger Things streaming on Netflix.

The Blacklist Season 4 "Who is Liz's Father?" Promo (HD)

What perfect timing!! I was just about to ask when will there be a teaser/promo for the new season of The Blacklist during the Rio Summer Olympics. It has come and very little is seen, but I think that the only thing new from it is Spader looking around.

The images look shattered and why wouldn't it be with the season finale left us with glass all over the floor with the biggest twists. And looks like that we will get the answer to that question we all ask: Who's Liz's Father?

If you remember or seen the season finale, Alexander Kirk takes Liz, ties her up to a chair in a private room and tells her that he's her father.

Here's the teaser.

Homeland Officially Renewed & Sets Season 6 premiere Date

Well, it's now official that Showtime has renewed Homeland for two additional seasons beyond it's upcoming sixth season. The cable network confirmed the pickup Thursday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

"Homeland is a show that is constantly reinventing itself...since it's very much about this Intelligence world," said Showtime president David Nevin back in June during a conference call with reporters at the time when the rumor was spreading. "More than most, this is a show that has an open-ending expiration date, just because of the subject matter."

The announcement comes as Homeland begins production on it's sixth season, which is set in New York City and the chronicle the precarious two month period between Election Day and the swearing in of the new President of the United States Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel). CSI: NY's Hill Harper joins the cast as Keane's Chief of Staff and The Flash's Patrick Sabongui is set to recur as a CUNY law professor who works with Carrie and is a fierce advocate for Muslim American community.

Homeland Season Six will premiere Sunday, January 15th at 9/8c.

New Romance in Chicago series

The crossovers on Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise has been the best in mastering the concept of television crossovers big, large, small or short no matter how you put it. But fans of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. will see that the next level this coming season will deal with a cross-show romance.

Entertainment Weekly has reported that Chicago Fire's Sylvie Brett and Chicago P.D.'s Antonio Dawson will become romantically involved in the upcoming season.

"It started to gain some traction because of the actors," executive producer Matt Olmstead said to EW. "There's plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio- his character has a couple of kids, he's divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she's had her heart broken. She's looking for a real man, he qualifies. He's looking for a real soul, a real heart and she qualifies."

Well, this isn't the first time that Fire and PD have explored romances across hours, from P.D.'s Lindsay and Fire's Severide that didn't work out, to Fire' Mouch and P,D's Platt got married.

"We like those inter-show romances," Olmstead said. "They can be hard to facilitate scheduling-wise, but they do work."

The one question that remains on this subject matter is how will Fire' Dawson, Antonio's sister, handle this?

"In the middle of it you have his sister, who works with Brett," said Olmstead. "So far it's been playing really well foe us, but there will be little brush strokes as we go along. We'll see where it goes."

You can catch the fourth season premiere of Chicago P.D. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c and the fifth season premiere of Chicago Fire Tuesday, Oct. 11th at 10/9c both on NBC.

Blindspot Season 2 Comic-Con Trailer (HD)

It was the #1 new drama last season. Just last month, the cast and crew of Blindspot made an appearance at San Diego's Comic Con and released a first second season trailer for the fans that made the show a major hit.

The second season looks like it starts in hyper-drive as Weller is not in the trustworthy mood with Jane as he found out that she's not Taylor Shaw. Now there needs to be some trust between Jane and the FBI and it'll probably take a while for Weller to do so. Plus there's a new guy that seems to be helping Jane with The Mission.

Checkout the trailer:

You can catch the season premiere of Blindspot Wednesday, Sept. 14th after the season finale of America's Got Talent at 10/9c and moves to it's new time Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC.

The Blacklist Season 4 Poster

On Wednesday, the first poster for the fourth season of The Blacklist was released.

Megan Boone shared the poster on Twitter.

The image is pretty clear with Red and Liz together and the question on the right side saying "Who's Your Daddy?" Asking if Alexander Kirk is Liz's true father. I'm not so sure he really is with the treatments he's been seen taking.

Here's the poster:

You can catch the season four premiere of The Blacklist Thursday, Sept. 22 on it's new time 10/9c on NBC.

The Good Place: A Comedy Inspired by Lost

On Tuesday, the creator and cast of The Good Place was at the Television Critics Association talking about the new series that in some way is like another series, Lost.

The NBC series, from the co-creator of Parks and Recreation Michael Schur, stars Kristen Bell as a woman who dies and accidentally winds up in the Good Place due to a clerical error. Ted Danson plays a Good Place manager who realizes he's in way over his head on this one.

It's left with the TV critics to wonder whether the whole first season of 13 episodes will be a "chaotic" as the pilot.

"This show is never going to be a 'was, rinse, repeat' kind of show," said Schur at the TCA.

The Good Place pilot is a "pretty good template" for what is contained story in which something dramatic happens at the end "that ends it spiraling to a different place," he explained.

The model of the show is in some ways to Lost, which is only the second other new NBC show of the three fall series (This Is Us) whose creators have said at the TCA their show is like Lost.

"I love that show," Schur said of Lost.

He loved it so much that Lost co-creator and showrunner Damon Lindelof was one of the first people he sought out for guidance as he was working on this new NBC series.
"We're going to play a game called 'Is This Anything?" Schur said he told Lindelof. "He gave me a lot of wonderful advice."

That included a recommendation that Drew Goddard directed the pilot; he's an executive producer of the series too.

Schur says that the first season was "carefully piloted" so it didn't fly off the rails. Not to mention that he didn't pitch the series to NBC until  he knew what the whole season would be about.

Goddard mentions Kristen Bell makes being bad look charming.

Bell says her character will struggle with trying to earn her spot in the good place. Her favorite thing about her character, Eleanor, is "that she just lets her tongue loose." She "has no edit button and she says what she feels."

We've been hearing from the promos of what the bad place sounds like, but Schur won't confirmed that we'll see the bad place this season.

And not to mention that there will be life flashbacks for several of the characters in the first season.

The season contains only 13 episodes and will not get picked up for any additional episodes.

The Good Place will premiere on Monday, Sept. 19th at 10/9c after The Voice and moved to it's regular night Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c after Superstore on NBC.

Chicago Med: 6 Things Learned About Season Two

On Tuesday, Dick Wolf and the cast of Chicago Med were at the Television Critics Association press tour for the new season. We get some juicy new details for season two.

"Going into season two is because we actually have the tools in our bag and we don't have to learn all of these things from a cold start," said star Colin Donnell telling reporters. "But we're only improving, I think, as we continue to live in the characters' skin more. Our writers are creating better and better story arcs for us. Everything has forward motion, which is awesome."

With that here are six more teases of what to expect this season:

Dr. Reese is still out at the hospital

After rejecting her pathology match in favor to work in the ER so she can interact more with patients, Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) was basically unemployed at the end of the first season.
"When we see her at the beginning of this season, she's working as a barista," said Wolf. "But she ends up coming back...She won't stay a barista."

Dr. Rhodes's New Mentor

After not only watching his mentor die, but traveling to a tropical island to spread his ashes, Dr. Rhodes (Donnell) has now switched to cardiothoracic surgery going into season two.

"Dr. Rhodes has chosen a different path in the hospital and he actuall has a new mentor," said Donnell.

Here comes Vinyl and Elementary star Ato Essandoh, who plays an African-American Jewish doctor and Dr. Rhodes' new boss.

"He fits right in with out quirky little family," Donnell said of the new member.

A (Short?) Truce with Dr. Halstead

Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) "actually pick up in a good spot this season - I think Halstead and Rhodes are in a good place where they are colleagues," said Donnell. "We've put some things behind us. I'm sure the relationship will grow and fall apart and grow and fall apart....It wouldn't be fun if we're weren't butting heads a little bit."

New Chief Resident

Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) gets a promotion at the beginning of the second season.

"He feels like he knows how to run a good ship," said Tee, referencing his character's experience in the U.S. Navy. "Within an ER department or within the hospital, it really is the nurses that run the ship. There's a lot of conflicting ideas."

Just because he's been bumped up doesn't mean the end of his season one issues, his struggle with his PTSD from his service days. Which also means more of the bird that helped Dr. Choi deal with it at the end of season one.

"The bird is still around," Tee said. "Stealing scenes left and right."

April's Health

When we last left at the end of season one, April (Yaya DaCosta) was diagnosed with tuberculosis.

"She's not contagious at this point, so the antibiotics she's on is not only curing her, but making it that it stays dormant so that she can continue to work," said DaCosta.

So what could this mean for April's love life, mainly after her boyfriend proposed?

"It's definitely been a huge distancing for her and her boyfriend. He keeps trying but she's definitely keeping her distance because she is paranoid," said DaCosta. For six weeks, she hasn't really that much and he's having a hard time with that."

Four Show Crossover:

A four show crossover was originally planned for Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Med and Law & Order SVU for February. But because of the complicated logistics, it was scrapped for two show crossover between SVU and PD. Although Chicago Justice does not launch until midseason and Wolf has his eye on a four show, Chicago universe crossover.

"It's very complicated to figure out," Wolf said. "It's a question ov how intensely would a crossover story impact on all four shows. It may not be as totally integrated as the SVU crossover was last year. It's a little premature, but I think there will definitely be a four-way sometime in the spring."

As for integrations between the four Chicago series, where one character from Fire could appear on PD, or a doctor might visit Justice, Wolf said that the possibilities are endless.

"I think the integrations can be as seamless as they've been for three or four years now."

Chicago Med returns this fall on it's new night, Thursday, Sept. 22 at 9/8c on NBC.

Chicago Fire Calls on Grey's Anatomy Doc

Looks like Severide isn't the only handsomest guy on Chicago Fire.

TVLine has learned that Scott Elrod, who played Meredith's love interest army doc on Grey' Anatomy, has been booked for a multi-episode arc for Season 5 on the hit NBC drama as a "lifestyle" celebrity Travis Brenner.

Elrod's character is known to be drop-dead gorgeous, with a million Instagram followers to boot. He and Severide cross paths on a fire call and after which the rescue squad lieutenant is tempted to join Brenner's fast-paced inner circle.

Along for being Grey's Dr. William Thrope, Elrod's TV credits include on The Young and the Restless and Men in Trees.

You can catch the season 5 premiere of Chicago Fire Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 10/9c on NBC.
