NBC 2022 Fall Schedule: La Brea Takes This Is Us Time slot, The Blacklist Moved to Midseason

On Monday, NBC released their 2022 fall schedule as May Upfronts begin this week. The 2021-2022 top-rated freshman series, La Brea, will take over the Tuesdays at 9pm timeslot (which has been the home of This Is Us for the past six years).

The most significant buzz for any new NBC series, the Quantum Leap reboot starring Raymond Lee, has landed the network's most prominent real estate, Mondays at 10/9c leading out of The Voice. While the Night Court revival, which stars John Larroquette and Big Bang Theory alum Melissa Rauch, and has been ordered to series back in September, won't make its debut until midseason.

Meanwhile, Young Rock will be moving to Fridays for its third season, starting in Movember, where it will be paired with the new George Lopez sitcom, Lopez vs. Lopez. This will make The Blacklist's 10th season premiere held back to midseason.

Here's a look at the schedule:

10/9c Quantum Leap

10/9c SNL Vintage

11:30/10:30c Saturday Night Live

SUNDAY

MIDSEASON:

The Blacklist, American Auto, Grand Crew, Night Court (NEW). The Wheel (NEW), Million Dollar Island (NEW), That's My Jame, The Wall, and Dick Wolf's LA Fire and Rescue (NEW Reality Series about the LAFD).

TBD on the fate of the pilots for Blank Slate, Found, Irrational, Unbroken, and the untitled drama from Mike Daniels.

CANCELLED:

The Endgame, Kenan, Mr. Mayor, Ordinary Joe

While NBC has made some changes, mainly bringing back comedy in late fall. But I do wish that network could have renewed Mr. Mayor.

We'll see how La Brea can be when moving to Tuesdays and wonder if it will keep close to what the ratings would be in the first season.

And what the heck happened with some of the competition shows like AGT Extreme or Family Game Night? Was it renewed or put on hold until something goes wrong with the new series?

Overall, this first look fall schedule looks good. I look forward to seeing what the reboot of Quantum Leap will bring.

Top 5 List: Story-lines to See this Season from #OneChicago

Finally All Together! Sky Witness Announces Jan Premiere Date For ...

As we're all waiting for the new season of #OneChicago. I put together a top-five list of storylines that I hope we get to see this season. Here we go!

5. A Break on One Chicago Crossover

As much as I would hate to say this maybe this season we could take a break of the epic three-show crossover this television season and maybe just focus on the shows. I just think with doing a crossover event during this COVID-19 situation, it might be best to step back for a season. Besides, how the hell could you top last season's crossover?

4. Flashback

I think it would be very cool if one of these shows could do a flashback episode. It could focus on the hospital at Med or the fire station on Fire. As much as we hear amazing fire stories from those that retired or still on the job it would be kind of cool to see it on screen. Maybe see how Herrmann or Mouch got started at the fire academy or maybe show a historical moment at Med that changed the face of medicine.

Chicago Fire Season 9 Will Feature Even More Brett and Casey ...

3. Relationships

Let's get one thing clear, I'm dying for Upton and Halstead's relationship to go to the next level. But besides them that we know will happen; I would love to see what comes next in the lives of Severide and Kidd. I mean what's next in the cards for these two: wedding? baby? And while those two couples are what we expect moving into the next level in their relationship, the one thing for this season that I'm wanting to know is if Brett and Casey will be a couple. I think that we could see them come to their true feelings for one another this year. And let me just put this out here: I still have hope for Manstead!!

2. Atwater's storyline

I know that we had a short season due to the COVID-19 situation, but out of the three shows that had their so-called season finale. Chicago PD felt like a real season finale with Atwater choosing to speak the truth about a cop's racial profiling that was killed. That ending with Atwater standing in front of all of those cops as they drive off and him yelling at them gave me chills down to my spine. Let's hope that we get to see what happens next in season eight.

1. COVID-19 storyline

It might not be the most popular thing to talk about on television; but if other medical dramas are planning to do a storyline involving COVID-19 in their upcoming season why not One Chicago? I think that the show could take it further than the other shows by showing each of the characters their perspectives. Maybe we could see one of our favorites battle the virus this season.

Those are my top five list of what I hope we get to see this season. I know it's been a rough last six months and this summer has really been the worst as well. Hopefully, the networks and studios are taking the proper safety precautions for the show's cast and crew, and maybe we could get shows back within the fall season.

You can catch episodes Chicago Fire, PD, and Med all on the Peacock streaming service, NBC.com or NBC app.

Chicago Med Season 3 First Look

Image result for Chicago Med

Last time we last left Chicago Med, it ended with a bang. The hit NBC medical drama returns two weeks from today, Tuesday, November 21st at 10/9c. And for the hard core fans of the show let this be a warning as you are being urged to "keep your tissues close by, just in case."

TV Line has the exclusive first look of the third season with Marlyne Barrett (Maggie) talking about how this season "is about the heartbeat of who we are as a team." Colin Donnell (Dr. Rhodes) agrees with Barrett's statement and adding, "The incident with Dr. Charles is affecting everyone going forward because it happened to one of our own."

For those of you who haven't caught up, Dr. Charles was shot at the end of the second season finale. But it's not the only source of drama that's going down this season as the video shows that the doctors' personal lives are in different states of flux. From Dr. Manning and Dr. Halstead's relationship to Dr. Choi and April keeping their relationship a secret as one of them is tired of sneaking around.

You can catch the season premiere of Chicago Med Tuesday, Nov. 21st at 10/9c on NBC.
