Red's 11: The Blacklist "The Director Conclusion"

After keeping Liz alive last week, now its time for Red to assemble his team of choice and save Liz.

I really do call this episode Red 11, because just watching Red inform the team about how and what they are going to do to save Liz just makes me think that this is from Ocean's 11.

Red's plan, which was from the beginning of hostage at the dinner or should I say since the beginning of this season was to rumble the Cabul's feathers and get them to a weak point.

Red's plan is to get The Director to his marriage therapy appointment and make him think that he's in the office but not. How do plan it was that they recreate what the 6th floor (the hallway and office) and place it to the eighth floor. To get him there they give his wife a coffee that was drugged that made her a bit freaky.

On his way, by the time he gets to the office, he sees a bowl of apples instead of a statue that is normally outside the office. Kaplan and others were nervous but Red thinks its going to work and it did. As Red says "Everybody loves apples."

The Director is escorted to the room and sees Red, gets drugged and is taken quickly out of the building in a real Ocean 11 fashion. There the director wakes up on the plane, sees Red and is told that he will be the first American   to be convicted on War Crimes.

There, Red makes a call to Hitchin to make a deal for Liz's freedom. Red's lawyer gets there and goes over what is the best deal possible, drop all counts expect the Connolly shooting, for which she will serve three years probation.

Red accepts the deal and talks to Hitchin alone, she ask for him to do a favor and get rid of the Director. And for that he just did, after a really nice chat that he knows why he's with Liz. And for that a family gets a nice gift for dinner as the Director crashes into their home.

Meanwhile, Liz, who's going through a lot of emotion, writes her will as she fears if she wasn't going to make it out alive. Ressler protecting her until her hearing, also informs a journalist that a break in the case will be revealed soon.

Tom brings Karakart to the court, which also helps Liz get a deal. As Liz looks over the deal agreement, she talks to Red and discuss it. Liz always wanted to be working with the FBI but she'll now have to be an informant just like Red and work together taking down more blacklisters.

She signs it and as Liz gets her things and walks out of the building, there seems to be no one there. But as soon as the bus passes, Red is across the street waiting for her. As she walks to him, she hugs him and I think not only me but everyone probably felt relieved that this is over, for now.

Everything is back to normal, Liz and Red are still working for the FBI, Cooper is back as the Director of the unit and that leaves with  one question, why was Red and Hintchin having a drink together. What's their connection? Is Red part of the Cabul?

Next week's episode looks so good. A guy that dresses, acts and talks like Red is being played by the actor from Medium. Also looks like there's going to be a twist that no one should miss out.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Thursday nights at 9/8c on NBC.

On Sunday, Netflix announced that it'll renew Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for a third season during the TCA winter press conference.

The second season of the Tina Fey created series will makes it's premiere on April 15th.

In the upcoming season, Kimmy will have to face "deeper emotional and life issues," teased Fey about season two and also will make an appearance too, but not as her Marcia Clark lookalike character.

Meanwhile, it's also announced that Netflix also renewed Jessica Jones for a second season.

According to Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos  that the sophomore run Krystal Ritter led series will run another 13 episodes, but won't debut until the new upcoming Marvel series The Defenders wraps up it's first season.

"The complex (part) is running into The Defenders. (That) production schedule will effect a lot in Season 2 and Season 3 outputs (for other Marvel projects)."

To me, this is an exciting news. Both shows made my Top 10 List of 2015.  I literally can't wait for the new season and see where both characters will go.

You can catch the first seasons of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Jessica Jones now streaming on Netflix.

Fox renews Scream Queens

After months of whether or not it will get cancelled, it's official that Scream Queens will be back for a second season.

The network on Friday announced that the Ryan Murphy's slasher comedy was renewed for a second season, ending the speculations of it's future due to it's rating challenge.

"It's going to take place in a hospital and explore some of the most interesting medical fascinomas," says Fox boss Gary Hewman. "This is something Ryan Murphy loves and had a lot of fun with on "Nip/Tuck, and he, Brad (Falchuk) and Ian (Brennan) are going to infuse that sensibility on Scream Queens."

"Ryan definitely intends to bring some of the actors from the fist installment back," adds Fox's Dana Walden. "I believe they will be the same characters."

Scream Queens ended it's first season in December with the long-awaited reveal of Lea Michele's Hester as the dreaded Red Devil, who was terrorizing Wallace University.

Though the series average just 2.8 million viewers weekly and a 1.1 demo rating. But Fox notes that only 30 percent of its audience watched live, with 26 percent caught up on DVR and 44 percent viewed the show via VOD and Hulu.

Heroes Reborn: No 2nd Season

Looks like next week's season finale of Heroes Reborn will be it's series finale.

That's what NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told reporters Wednesday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

"As far as I know there are no more incarnations of Heroes coming."

Adding that it was "always the plan" for one season "unless (series creator) Tim (Kring) woke up one day and said, 'Oh I have another chapter to tell."

"I think we're coming to the end...of the world, maybe," Greenblatt added with a smirk. "Stay tuned."

The revival premiered in September to 6.1 million total viewers and a 2.0 demo rating. The show returned Jan. 7th with a 3.7 million and a 1.0 demo.

You can catch Heroes Reborn Thursday nights as the series finale airs Jan. 21st at 8/7c on NBC.
