Magic Mushrooms: The X-Files "Babylon"

The one thing that I can't get out of my mind from this episode is watching Mulder get so high that he wanders into a redo and a whole crazy stuff. But before talking about that, let's talk about this episode.

A case comes to the FBI when two Islamic men bomb an art gallery in Texas. The case goes to two young FBI agents that went to ask for Mulder and Scully's advice. The thing about these two young agents is that they look and act so much alike Mulder and Scully. It's like seeing them in a mirror, if it showed them 23 years ago.

As the young agents get to the airport, Scully calls the one who believes and as for Mulder called on the skeptic. They worked together to find a way to communicate to the suspect, who is still alive after the blast.

Scully tries a scientific with brainwaves, while Mulder has an idea of using magic mushrooms. Let's just say Mulder's plan seem to be very fun...and helpful.

Mulder's plan went from dozing off to walking out of the hospital onto the streets and landing into a redo. That's where Mulder does his best stuff on the dance floor and would you have it, the song Honkytonky Badonkadonk plays and Mulder seated with not only Skinner but The Lone Gunman too.

But soon Mulder gets into what he calls it "Fifty Shades of bad" with the young skeptic agent. And then gets whipped by the Cigarette Smoking Man and soon spots the suspect with his mother and speaking something in Arabic.

Mulder wakes up with the voice of Skinner. Of course, Skinner wasn't there with him and told Mulder that he put the shame in the FBI. As he was order to go back to D.C., he see the mother of the suspect and brings her to see her son.

They walk in with Scully and the other agent trying to read his brainwaves but soon after she appears, the suspect dies. That leads Mulder trying to think of what the suspect told him in his dream. And after minutes, he speaks it out and it turns out that what he said was Babylon hotel. That's where the other bombers were at.

At the end, the young agents grew closure than before, just like Mulder and Scully. And as for Mulder, he and Scully talk about his thoughts on this case and the powers that be. I think it just brings them a little but closure than we seen them before.

Next week's episode is the season finale and from the promo, it looks like it will be one hell of a finale.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10. It was very good with the humor, the story was good too. The characters were amazing, like watching how the mentor hangs with the mentee. And also who didn't get goosebumps or find it funny when Scully answered the agents as "No one here but the FBI Un-most wanted."

Marvel's Daredevil - Season 2 - Official Trailer - Netflix [HD]

The latest trailer for the new season of Daredevil is out. Only one question: Can Daredevil handle the Punisher?

This trailer look really good and even a surprise guest comes in at the end. This one captures the Punisher to a really dark character than I known him (from the Spiderman TV series). Don't laugh at me about that.

A Tale of Butterflies: The Blacklist "Lady Ambrosia "No. 77)"

"Once upon a time there once lived a woman in the woods, she was purely neither evil nor purely good, she gathered unwanted children and gave them a home for which to stay she promised them that they would live forever and she could change them into colors, so beautiful so bold that she cared for them sweetly."

Talk about a fairy tale coming together to make a difference in the future life. This week's episode is an hour of one's tale and makes it creepy and exciting. 

Liz meets with Red at a local dinner. Just before they get to business, Red gives her an envelope that is a trust fund for her child. Of course, she doesn't want to take it. After that, Red tells a tale of Lady Ambrosia and how he loved fairy tales that tell creepy tales, but Liz didn't enjoy them. He shows her a newspaper with the face of a boy presumed dead years ago and thinks there's an honest Lady Ambrosia out there. 

Liz talks to the child, but the only thing she can get out of him is playing with a pen. As the parents come in, Ressler receives word that the parents were trying to give him up for adoption just before he disappeared. 

Later on, the mother makes a call to their adoption agent, who's married to Lady Ambrosia. They meet, and she is killed. The husband gets taken in by the FBI, leaving the boy with Liz. 

Let me say that watching Liz's parenting skills is getting a feeling and watching her trying to heat a waffle on the stove and accidentally leaving the paper towel near the stove, causing a fire. The fire alarm goes off, and the kid is scared. As Liz tries to clear the smoke, Baz comes in with a gun and turns it off. It's nice to bring a gun to turn off a fire alarm; I'll have to try that the next time my fire alarm goes off. 

That wouldn't be the last time Liz has issues in her apartment. Since her name was listed in the boy's adoption, Lady Ambrosia's husband and her son try to get him. But thanks to Baz again, the husband was taken into Red's care. 

Red talks to him about where a particular child was and at first doesn't talk but soon explains what his wife does for the children, that she saves them. Red makes it to where they're at and talks to Ambrosia. Even though what she does is wrong, it doesn't make it right how it all came about. As they talk, her son, Theo, says terrible things about himself, but Red tries to tell him good things about him, which leads him to take his mother and drop her in the well, just like she does with the other children, to save them. 

He drags her and dumps her in the well and, after, jumps in too. As the FBI takes the kids out of the house, they see the butterflies flying high. 

Red delivers the child back to her mother and gets the file he requested. It's a film about Liz's mother, and from his reaction, it doesn't look good. 

Not to mention, Tom's excited after the job he helped pull and hopes to get paid. That is until his friend shoots everyone and him in the van. But as Tom is Tom, he escapes and tries to fix himself but ends up in someone's bathroom. 

Liz, on the other hand, is excited that there's a family that is willing to take her child and share it with her. I feel she may not want to give up the child. I have that feeling. 

This episode was excellent and so clever. I can't get enough of Glen and his bull crap on Red. And I praise Leslie Jones on her cameo talking to Red as he waits to speak to Glen. I want to know if Spader ever lost character in that sense. I would.

We're closer to knowing about Liz's mother than ever before. I can't wait to see how this will play out. The writers know how to take this show and not just have it on autopilot like other shows. 

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Fight of the Week: Chicago Fire " All Hard Parts"

In this week's episode, Casey gets pulled into election season, Chilli tries to deal with her issues in a different manner and Severide tries to get her to see the light. Plus a boxing match for the television ages or should I just say boxing match of the week?

After speaking for the people who lost their homes in the tornado, a school teacher comes to talk to Casey to run for Representative for that neighborhood. Of course at first, Casey doesn't seem to be interested but as time goes, donuts being offered, seeing what the playground is like for the kids.

After thinking about it and a little help from First Lady Gabby, he decides to run and run he will do. I don't think getting a lot of signatures will get.

Meanwhile, after what was one last shot to stay on 51, Chili gets a package of her sister's things and that just turns the tables once again. She's doesn't open up about it and thinks that she's fine. Dealing with the pain by drinking both on the job and off and the one person that sees the issue is Severide, who tries to be open about it.

Chili's defense is as strong and worrisome as it can get. As Severide tries one last time to get her to speak to Bowden about it or he will and I think we all know who Bowden will believe. Chili comes clean to Bowden about what has been going on and it turns out that not only that she told but it was too late to tell him about it.

Bowden fires Chili for drinking on the job but does give her the courage that she'll always be a part of the family. As she gathers her things, she doesn't want anything to do with the rest of 51 or even Herrmann to call them her family. As she left, Herrmann finds a photo of everyone and gets it framed and drops it off at her place. She realizes that she needs to change and calls Severide for help.

Chili gets dropped off by Severide and he tells her that the toughest part was calling. Chili hopes to prove him and everyone that she can fix this problem. And I think she will and if my gut tells me anything and it's been wrong before, that if she gets help she can prove to Bowden that she can come back.

And of course, the match of the week or Battle of the Badges, who will win Fire or PD? Jimmy vs Antonio, of course the fight has been one of the best and funnest storyline of the season so far even last week's episode too. I thought that Jimmy could pull the upset of winning over Antonio but after getting the first hit, Antonio goes crazy mad and KO's Jimmy just like that. But at least it goes to a good causes and that Herrmann fixed the game just a bit in the betting pool.

"All Hard Parts" was a really good episode. The Chili storyline was really good and had my emotions go up and down through this episode mostly down as I want her to stay with 51. And watching Severide becoming the savior for her, just reminds me of what he went through last year with Shay.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

Tough Decisions Chicago Med "Choices"

There are always choices that we make in life that we think are the best, even if it goes against someone's wishes or practically anything that we face. This week's episode of Chicago Med takes on risky, challenging career choices.

Halstead and Manning treat a patient in the end stages of cancer, but she comes in for a fall she had suffered. Trying to get her heart going, they finally get her back. In comes the patient's husband, who informs them that she is a DNR.

But for Halstead, a signed document that no heroic measures are to be taken isn't going to be taken lightly. When he learns of a new drug that has shown results, he asks Zoey, the drug rep, for help. After getting the okay from her boss, Halstead informs the patient about it, but she doesn't want it.

In defense of what he's trying to do, Halstead wants to give his patient the best chance to have a second chance in life, a choice, but still, she doesn't like it after what she has gone through.

When it came time for her to stop breathing, Halstead sprang into action and brought her back. There are so many ways to describe that scene, but the one word that comes to my mind from it is a nervous shock. In that spare moment, it's hard to believe that a doctor who knows the patient's wishes goes against it, and the outcome will be messy.

Goodwin, of course, wasn't happy, and so was Manning. The family is suing the hospital for what happened, and Halstead could face termination. But if there's any doubt that what Zoey says to Halstead near the end, that if she does take the trail drug, she'll thank him for it.

Rhodes has been spending some time with Dr. Downey, who wants him to help him in surgery. Could he have been looking for someone to replace him? Does Downey think that Rhodes has a gift for surgery instead of trauma? Rhodes gets to the bottom of it, and after declining Downey's offer, he learns why Downey comes into the ER from an accident.

Downey has cancer and only has a couple of months. After learning about that, Rhodes reconsiders his offer after Downey wakes up. Rhodes, who doesn't want it because he's a trauma doctor and that's what he's best at, doesn't think that maybe getting the lessons from Downey would help him in the long run that no other doctor in the ER has,

One of the best storylines in this episode is Dr. Choi, as we see him working out at 3 a.m., punching the boxing bag with rage. He gets a patient, a professor, who comes in unconscious. After trying to figure out what's wrong with her, Dr. Charles receives a page that Choi's patient is going out of control.

Charles sees that the patient is suffering from Bipolar and that she has been taking a drug that has been damaging her kidneys. Choi doesn't think that giving her the drug will help and that she should get the courage to control it. Charles questions until Choi comes in and tells him about his experience on a tour of treating patients for 48 hours and that a mother coming in with a child, who had no injuries shown from the blast, died in her arms looking so peaceful. The image of that kid has been stuck in his head ever since, and he loses sleep.

Brian Tee gave an excellent performance in this episode and opened up a bit of his character background. I was moved and heartbroken by what he had gone through in that last scene with Charlie. Another is Reese, who had to take care of a homeless man. After cleaning and giving him fresh clothes, the guy dies, but not after he gives her a perfect score on the patient sanctification card.

I enjoyed this episode. This show has shown much growth in the writing since its premiere, and the characters have been unique.

Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.
