Chicago Med: New Fall Series

Ever since "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago PD" joined forces, fans have been demanding that there should be another "Chicago" series, "Chicago Med." And now we got that coming this fall.

Executive producer Dick Wolf delivers the newest installment in the compelling "Chicago" franchise, an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city's most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors who hold it together.

They will tackle unique new cases inspired by topical events, forging fiery relationships in the pulse-pounding pandemonium of the emergency room, and through it all, familiar faces from Chicago police and fire departments will intertwine as this third team of Chicago heroes hits the ground running.

The cast includes Oliver Platt ("The Big C"), Laurie Holden ("Dumb & Dumber To" & "The Walking Dead"), Colin Donnell ("The Affair"), Nick Gehlfuss ("Shameless & "Chicago PD"), Yaya Dacosta ("All My Children") and S. Epatha Merkerson ("Law & Order").

Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Danielle Gelber, Peter Jankowski, Michael Brandt and Derek Hass will be executive producers.

The pilot episode aired on "Chicago Fire" in April in the episode "I Am the Apocalypse."
Here's a recap:

You can catch "Chicago Med" coming this fall to Tuesdays nights at 9/8c on NBC.
