On Thuesday, the cast and producers of Heroes: Reborn got to answer questions and give some details of the new season at the TCA press tour. Here's some pin-points:
- The premiere will be a two-hour event on Thursday, Sept. 24th at 8/7c
- Creator Tim Kring, talked about how certain actors were not available and replied that when others return it happens simply when ideas come up in the writers room.
- Kring says that he wanted to make something that was easy for brand new viewer to watch for the first time and had always thought that this show could repopulate.
- Kring's vision for the series was that he 'was always most interested in the origin stories."
- Sadly but Kring has confirmed that Claire Bennet died a year before the events of Heroes Reborn.
- King says that he feels that Heroes was hurt when it was hurt by the longer seasons and promises that there will be a beginning, middle and an end with the 13 episodes.
- There's a potential for more seasons.
- Kring is confident that they can find other stories to tell with new and recurring characters.
- Zachary Levi says "We've been given a really cool world to play characters that are ambiguous."
- Kring says that they're treating this season like it's the 10th season as in like other seasons happened in-between the time the show left the air.
- Masi Oka and Sendhil Ramamurthy will both appear in "a couple of episodes" of the season and that they'll help advance the story.
- Hiro can time travel and Kring says coyly hat will come in handy.
- Jack Coleman is the only original Heroes character who appears in every episode of Heroes Reborn.
