Kimmy Goes to a Play

In episode three, things take off again for Titus and Jacqueline as they try to find their new purpose in life and relationships.

For Titus, he's trying to find something to do with his money from his ex-wife. Kimmy advises him to put on a show about his life, and when that idea comes, it's not just about Titus but one of his past lives. His one-person show called "Kimono You Didn't" tells the tale of Murasaki, a sorrowful Japanese geisha.

He thought the play would be a hit when searching the internet, but when he clicked on a website, it turned out his play was hated. Hated by racial groups, Titus doesn't think he could do it, while Kimmy tries to help but gets a "Chandler message" from the group back.

"Chandler message" is what you call being excellent in a sarcastic way.

When Titus begins his show, everyone from the group boos, but it doesn't stop Titus at all and sings his song. After a minute, one of the members prevents everyone's boos. That one member accepted Titus and apologized for what they'd done. Even one member evaporated from thin air after apologizing.

Weird, right?

Meanwhile, Jacqueline's got her new apartment with certain items that'll help keep her rich friends from judging her. But when Mini comes in looking crazy as she always does, she shows Jacqueline that her ex-husband has already found a lady of his own. And that angers her to go out and find a rich man.

After looking at a fancy place, searching for a rich guy. Kimmy tries talking her down, which gives Jacqueline the idea to date her dog's massage therapist. After a day and another piece of advice from Kimmy, Jacqueline broke up with the massage therapist after spilling red wine on the expensive rug.

Seeing that she sees herself in him as she was with her ex.

It was another hilarious episode for Titus and Jacqueline. I enjoyed more of Titus' storyline a bit more than Jacqueline's. I couldn't believe how many past lives this guy has had, from a dog to a Japanese lady. And, of course, I couldn't get the best line from the episode: "Who's that Kimmy knocking on that door, eating pickle chicken on the hospital floor."

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Kimmy Kidnaps Gretchen

Can anyone change? That's what Kimmy asked Lillian about in this episode as not only her but Titus deals with it in this hilarious episode.

When Kimmy gets a call from Cyndee about a video, she has to see it. Kimmy runs to the library to see a video commercial for a cult, CosmetoloCruseuse, and she spots no other than Gretchen there as one of the members.

Just before Kimmy tries to rescue Gretchen, the most adorable and brilliant video of Bunny and Kitty comes on. The video and the lyrics had me saying, " Drop off, please!!"

As Gretchen gets on the ship, she sees a sign with her name and follows it until Kimmy stops her and takes her out. Performing an intervention, Kimmy explains how bad it is to be in a cult but realizes that Gretchen has never been alone or decided what she wanted to do. So they went out to do whatever Gretchen wanted to do.

After some crazy stuff, from ice cream to pit bulls, taking a cop's gun, and even doing drugs with Time Square's Elmo, Kimmy stops it and later advises her to start her cult.

As for Titus, he's never really had a successful relationship. He has a lot of stuff from his exes, from clothes to passports and even a prosthetic arm. But when it comes to going out with Mikey, Titus thinks this might be another disastrous date, even for a first-time gay dater.

The date didn't go off right for Titus, but later on, it did as they talked about their favorite movie (The Lion King). The next day, Titus doesn't think the relationship is going anywhere and breaks it off on the phone after Mikey calls.

Lillian goes to talk to Mikey and explain to him about Titus, but he thinks that it's too much for him. But he comes back because he somehow forgot his tool that helped fix Titus and Kimmy's stove. But after Mikey and Titus talk, Titus kisses Mikey, and things look promising. And that broke Titus' streak of men not coming back.

I thought that this episode was hilarious. I felt a bit of a reference to 30 Rock with the montage of what Gretchen wanted, from the dog to the gun and the scene with Elmo. There was a lot of character growth with Titus and for the previous couple of episodes as well.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.
