Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt "Kimmy Gives Up!"/"Kimmy Drives a Car!"

Episodes 5 and 6 serve as one of the best episodes so far. There's a throwback commercial to even catchy tunes that makes me beg Tina Fey and everyone to release a soundtrack.

Kimmy Gives Up!

Episode 5 has Kimmy returning to her GED class to take the final test. Not receiving a letter of it, she gets Dong's and decides to take it to him, personality. Lillian doesn't think she's doing it just to be nice but to win his heart again.

After dropping the letter off, Kimmy is spotted by Dong's wife and comes in. Dong is mad at her at first, but it's when he tells her that he and his wife must go to a meeting to convince her that their marriage is real.  So Kimmy helps by taking them to certain spots for photos to make it look like they've been on vacation as a couple.

But it doesn't go quite well, and Kimmy accepts that she and Dong aren't meant to be right now. But maybe in two years, they'll be the couple we want them to be. As Kimmy says, "It's hard to get over Dong."

In the meantime, Lillian sees that Titus has been singing many, many show tunes that even I've never heard of, but they're so catchy. Lillian suspects that Titus is finally happy with the relationship and such. That brought him pretty down until Lillian brought him back up with a show tune that he was surprised to know.

And as for Jacqueline, she deals with being a parent for the first time with her son. With no Kimmy, Jacqueline goes to the doctor for help and is advised to give her kids a drug to calm them down, which calms Kayne West's behaviors.

Given Buckley some meds, he turns into a calm zombie-like child along with the other children. When Jacqueline tells Kimmy, she convinces her that it's good, and tries it. The worst part is that she tried it just before her private outfitting and did not see the colors of the dresses as everything turned gray. But she awakes with an outfit that's hilarious and colorful, I don't think even MC Hammer.

Jacqueline realizes she misses Buckley's misbehavior. She goes out to get some clothing, and after being asked to leave and what size she wears, she and Buckley go to the store for fun.

I loved this episode a lot. I think it's one of the best episodes so far. Titus's performance, just singing many tunes, makes me want to beg Tina and the producers to put out a soundtrack album for the show. Also, I couldn't get enough of Jane's performance too. Also, I loved how Kimmy mentioned that she's still waiting for Nickelodeon to come to her school, and so am I. I love how they add 90s references in this season. So many memories!

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Kimmy Drives a Car

In episode 6, Kimmy juggles two jobs: being there for Jacqueline and her job. Kimmy as she is always there for her friends. But it will cost her to gain a new job.

When Jacqueline demands Kimmy to do too many things while she has a job at the Christmas store, when Jacqueline loses a tooth, she asks Kimmy for help but goes by herself to get into the dentist without success.

Putting on a mitosis in place of her tooth, she tries to convince the secretary to get her in, but with no success. She loses her mitosis tooth as it drops into the secretary's diet Coke bottle. She later puts in a fingernail (big mistake) and demands Kimmy to take her to the dentist she knows, who turns out not to be an honest dentist.

Kimmy tells Jacqueline that her attitude isn't helping her at all. So, after a bit of a fight, they agree that Kimmy works for Jacqueline but nursing a friend and drives her to the costume shop, where she gets a sexy Joe Biden outfit and uses the teeth.

As Kimmy waits for her outside, someone gets in and thinks that she's an Uber driver. She is an Uber driver. But does ask Jacqueline to be her friend.

While this was going on, Titus and Kimmy agree to do an AIRB and agreed to their apartment for some money. Lillian doesn't like the two renters and asks Titus to get rid of them as she doesn't trust them.

There were some great guest stars from Kennan Thompson and Zosia Mamet. I enjoyed this episode as well and thought that it was about time that Kimmy put her foot down to Jacqueline. This was such a great episode for the entire cast. And I would like to thank the writers for the remainder of the mitosis commercial jiggle; I can't get it out of my head now.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix now.
