NBC cancels Undateable

Well, the live experiment didn't work the way NBC was hoping for.

NBC has announced that it's cancelling Undateable after three seasons. The series created by Adam Sztykiel and executive produced by Bill Lawerence. The show set around a group of friends at a bar dealing with life and relationship.

Starring Chris D'Elia, Brent Morin, David Fynn, Rich Glassman, Ron Funches, Bianca Kajich and Bridgit Mendler. The series was based on Ellen Rakieten and Anne Coyle's book "Undateable: 311 Things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won't Be Dating or Having Sex.

The series was the number one summer hit in 2014 on Thursday nights. It was renewed and placed after The Voice on Tuesday night. They decided to do a live episode that sparked ratings up and when it was renewed for a third season the network wanted them to do all episodes live as they were placed on Friday nights.

This was one of the shows I was hoping it would be picked up. The cast has been nothing but hilarious and the addition of Mendler in the second season was great. The live episodes was like watching improv theater right in your own home. It got a lot of buzzed on twitter.

If you haven't seen the series I would recommend watching it. Go to NBC.com, iTunes or Google Play. The third season was it's best.
