As the FBI is on their own when tryingto find Liz's killer as Reddington sees someone to give the bad news.
Cooper and the team aew on the hunt to who wanted Liz Keen. Without Reddington it would really take longer than what this episode would give. Aram hook into s system that had them seeing what the killer was seeing when watching Liz. I like to call it's God's eye because he can see everything from any camera.
They have one suspect that turns out to be the next target but by the time Ressler and Samar get there the suspect is ambushed and is almost killed but Samar saves him. But let's not forget that the person that was trying to kill the guy was the same person from the nuclear bomb theft episode and boy did she give Samar a good butt kickin.
With no idea who could be after the guy, they look back at the cameras and found a mysterious woman talking with the guy. Cooper asked Tom to follow the Attonry General Panabaker who is spotted talking with the mysterious woman. As Tom and Cooper looked at both photos, Tom thinks it could be Liz's mother.
For the team, they did find where a satalitte network that has been dead but still in use. Amar hacks in and located where the spotter is at. But by the time they get there it was too late as everything got distoryed.
On the other hand, Reddington drives to a wooden house in the woods. There he sees an elderly man and informs him about Liz's death. Turns out that he's Liz's grandfather and you can see that she has his temper. He infomers him about Liz's child, happy but not to pleased that he won't see her but in photos.
Red tries to find a way with the help from Liz's grandfather. He looks through some old things like gliter, board games along with clothes and dolls.
Red still looks lost but when Amar comes and ask for his help, he turns him down. So Amar recalled what Red told him awhile back about how this grave that they were standing could have been Liz's if he had not saved her from the cubal. Amar asked for him to repay his debt but Red turned him down.
After a talk with the grandfather, Red apparently repairs the old man's piano and leaves. I guess whatever the man told him got his edge back because by the end of the episode Amar gets a knock at his door with Red behind it. Red looks like Red and tells Amar that they have a job to do.
Red is back baby!!!
This was a very good episode and it's nice to see how the FBI worked without the help of Red. I was moved from performances from Lennix and Arison. Cooper given the eulgoy at Liz's funneral was emotional and heartfelt and Aram's speech to Red was remakrable. It's his best since the episode back in January.
Overall, I give it a 8/10.
You can catch The Blacklist Thursday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
