Searching and Resurgence: The Blacklist "Miles McGrath (No. 65 )"

As the search for Agnus is on, Red gets a lead on the whereabouts on Kirk as Liz gets information about her mother. And someone isn't dead just yet....

Red is working alone to find Agnus but Liz isn't going to let him work alone. He tells her his lead of a man named Miles McGrath, a high profile entrepreneur who has created one of the biggest social media sites in the world, or as I can put it a psycho Mark Zuckerberg.

This Blacklist is working for Kirk to bring him something that he really needs, a deadly virus. And he does it by having a gang, that the leader knows Red, to steal it from a train. This virus is something that Kirk needs to help him survive with his blood disorder and needs to a bone marrow that doesn't seem to happen.

Liz sneaks out her mother journal and finds out that her job was to be with Red. But also learns about her father's illness. Red tells her after that he couldn't get Agnus that the real truth about Kirk that he wasn't in for a family reunion, it's for a family donation.

Also in this episode, Samar decides to request transfer to another department after Liz comes back to the FBI. She almost, I think, decided to stay when she called Aram and asked him to join her for a cup of coffee, but he had someone coming in his place for dinner. OUCH!!!

Also I fear the worst has yet to come and I mean that of Mr. Kaplan is still alive after Red shoots her in last week's episode. Her face is pretty messed up from what we could see in her reflection in the water. But she gets picked up from a mysterious man and his dog. I feel like she knows how this guy is, because she's not fighting for her life to get away.

This was a really good episode. The writing was good and the I find the character of McGrath to be interesting. I do feel like he's the psycho Zuckerberg version. The scene where Liz was reading her mother's journal and visual her at the table writing it was amazing and even seeing one another too.

Also I can't get enough of Brimley, even if it was just for one short scene asking Red for Dembe's help on a guy they're trying to information from on Kirk. Not to mention Tom being tested before joining the group to take the virus. Anyone think that Tom Keen would be an awesome Jason Bourne type of character? Just a thought.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Here's a promo for next Thursday's episode.

For All an Eternity: The Blacklist "Mato (No. 66)"

The Blacklist has done it again!!!

This episode was outstanding from the start to the tragic ending. This episode really focused on two people, Liz and Mr. Kaplan.

When Liz is in the airplane with Kirk, she soon takes the plane down, way down and hits the ocean waters. There only her and Kirk are stranded hoping for help to arrive. When a small boat comes, they are on board and just as Lix was asking for a gun from the fisherman, Kirk shoots him with his gun, that was in the toolbox.

Kirk takes Liz back on a plane where they headed off to a place known as the Summer Palace. It's the place where Liz and her parents stayed a better part of their summer. As Liz is there, she looks around and when she spots the backyard she gets flashbacks of her and her mother. She runs towards the garden where at the time she was little her mother put some special things in a container and buried it. She digs it up and finds a few things, mostly a made bracelet. She puts it on and soon the FBI shows up and Kirk is gone with the baby.

Meantime, Red and the team hit a bump, literally as Agnus is taken away again from the man I called Cuban Frankenstein, but he's name is Mato and Kaplan knows of him.  So  Red and team go back to the states where a friend of Mr. Kaplan knows how to get a hold of Mato.

After trying the guy's office, they go to the OR where he's having stomach surgery and it was sweet seeing Red walk in the OR demanding to wake the guy up. The doctor woke up him and after Kaplan tried to talk to him, Red sent in Tom to do the job and after a good couple of minutes with him, he told him how to reach Mato.

When using the number that they got, they waited for him, until Kaplan was spotted and Mato ran off being chased by Tom and Dembe, but stopped by Kaplan and the car. Red talks to Mato and told him about the story with an Indian tribe and threaten him to put him in a tight box leaving him rioting in there with no light. Mato talked and told Red that he was at the Summer Place.

As Red gave Cooper the info, Liz was saved and taken to her new home where her and Tom reunited. Red on the other hand took a long trip with Mr. Kaplan. Now throughout the episode, Kaplan knows something is going to happen to her, the question is when. Red walks with her through an acre of land, where he told a story of how he got it. But soon tells her of how she betrayed him and that even it was for Liz and the baby that he can't trust a person like that anymore. At first we would think that he was going to let her live after he told her that the land was her.....until he says for all an eternity and shoots her.

Shocking enough to see, probably one of my favorite blacklist supporting characters dead like that was enough, but when the camera came back to her we see her hand move as in grabbing on to the grass tightly. Holy crap!!! Here's a lesson for you, don't betrayed Red. I believe that's in Blacklist 101.

I loved this episode a lot. I thought that the writers handled this beautiful as we not only watch Liz go through more and more memories of her past, but Mr. Kaplan too. I have to give made propers to Susan Blommaert on a tremendous performance. Even the eerie score when Liz was going through the canister was great. Plus that song at the end too.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

Finding Her: The Blacklist "Esteban" Season Premiere

The Blacklist is back!! The most anticipated season is here, and it starts on a high-driven note.

We pick off right from where the finale left off; Red is looking around the room, seeing blood and picturing what happened in the events of Liz, Angus, and  Tom being kidnapped. So, Demebe gets a call on the location of one person there, and so they take off.

We see Red and the crew walking into a nightclub in slow-motion fashion (which is beautiful enough to capture Red's emotional state). They get to the back, where a miss performing CPR on a cop, but by the time Red wants to talk to him, he is dead. So the next best thing was for him to perform a mess operation of cutting the guy's head off. Yes, you read that correctly: Reddingotn cut off the dead guy's head. AWESOME, right?!

He takes the head and shows it to one of his friends, who takes him to a group of cops that are playing porkpokerd asks if they know who the person is, they'll get a cut of the money, but one didn't want to talk, so he got shot and so did the rest of the three until the last one spoke of who he knows.

When Red and Dembe found where Liz was, they headed out to what looked like an automatic shop. Red and Dembe search around and find a room with a glass window, where he hears Kirk behind the glass along with Red. Kirk and Red have a standoff moment; Rehe tries to break the glass with his gun but doesn't seem to do anything. But Cuban police were coming, and Red and Dembeleftf,t but not before Liz told Red that he needed to search for Angus, but also Red said to her that he'd check for her.

Red figures that he needs h help. Call one FBI to find Esteb, a blacklister who is a double agent in Cuba for the USA, but Cuba doesn't know. Esteban is probably one of the scariest-looking guys ever blind, and yet he takes his plastic eyes out for his prisoners to hold. YUCK!

Cooper sent Ressler down there and met with Esteban at his place. The two had a nice chat, and Ressler called on Red to have the two talk. Reed asked him to search for a girl that had been taken (Liz) and the baby. It was later that he found where Liz was being held.

Meanwhile, Liz and Kirk were getting to share a lot. He says he's her father, but she'd buy it. Soon, Angus is brought back to Liz, and she plans to escape Thylacine's place and is caught.

Tom, on the other hand, is the Cuba tour, if you know what I mean. Kidnapped, he was taken by the Cuban Frankenstein (if you will) to another guy who was going to take him out. If that guy thought he was going to have a lot of fun with Tom, he sure hell doesn't know what the hell he was getting into. Tom knocks him out and kills him, but after, he tells Kirk, who was on the phone at the time, that he is coming for his family and an army is coming.

Red and the team get to the spot where Liz is and where Angus is. Dembe looks in the house and heads upstairs til Frankenstein takes him down and beats him til he leaves. Kaplan, who is not on Red's good side then, sees a woman grabbing baby blankets and stuff, finds her with Angus, and takes her out. Way to go, Kaplan!!

Red is, races out to the back and sees the plane leaving, with Liz looking down from the window, all in disbelief and sadness. The camera angle of Red's reaction was perfect in that scene, shocked and lopsided.

The good news is that Red had Angu, but the bad news is that they lose Angus, too, when Frankenstein runs them over. He takes Angus away, but not until he kisses Kaplan with his finger on her lips. What the hell was that for?

OH MY GOD!!! This took my breath away from the moment I ted to the end of the episode. This was the season premiere that The Blacklist had done yet. It was so good, from the acting to the writing and the idirectionalloot. I'm happy they didn't have a trailer and promos for this season, but only small clips with previous clips.

So, what will happen?LOLooksooks, like the haunt to save, Liz is on. What will happen to Mr. Kaplan (to be honest, the dishonest doesn't want her to go)? t it looks like Red might kill her. If anybody agrees that, I think we would want Tom vs Frankenstein fighting it out again, right? We all know that Tom can kick that dude's butt.

Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.
