Mary Me: "Scary Me"
Since Halloween is this Friday, we get to see some shows do their Halloween special episode. "Marry Me" did their own with Anne and Jake changing their Halloween plans and doing a haunted house in their apartment.A neighbor of Jake and Anne's proves to be an extreme protective mother that wants everyone in the apartment not to wear costumes and such. That throws Anne and Jake mad, so they provide their own version of Halloween and not a classic Disney version of it.
The two dress up as the zombie version of Lucy and Dezi. Anne acting like the true Lucy while Jake acts out to other different characters and saying their own catchphrases. Funny scene from these two was when a kid was left in their place and had to take him back but he kept playing with them.
Apparently he's the son of the neighbor who wants Halloween to be a safe holiday. Hence way he didn't want to go back home.
Meanwhile Gill is going out trick or treating with Kay, even though he doesn't think about his ex-wife he really does and thinks he needs to cheer her up. So Kay had an idea to take the bowl from his ex-wife and rob it.
When Gill sees what's happening, he takes into action, as he's dressed as Spiderman. He knocks Kay out like what you would see in the WWE show.
This episode was felt laid back but relaxing and funny. You really didn't have to follow it to hard to understand what's going on. Loved how Anne and Jake were Lucy and Dezi, but also there seemed to be a bit of Will & Grace from season one when they did their Halloween episode with the kid.
You can catch "Marry Me" Tuesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
About A Boy: "About A Will-O-Ween"
One thing to learn about Will-O-Ween is to know the three B's. Booze, Bros and Babes. Once you know the three B's you are set for "Will-O-Weens"Will is throwing his own Halloween party and as he';s doing that, Marcus and Fiona aren't much for the scary holiday because it's a holiday to celebrate diabetes. Marcus thinks he's cruse because of the horrible things that have happen to him a long time ago. Soon he will learn to have fun on Halloween and not be so frighten about it.
ps. He then goes out and see Marcus and soon they go out trick or treating getting candy and stuff.
There's a moment between Marcus and Will that helps Will get through the pain of his break up and as well as Marcus as he find out that he's not cruse.
This episode was funny from point A to point Z. So many funny moments, probably the funnest moment was when Will was seeing Andy so he could get him to come to his party, hence his bro at the party. Will sees Andy dress up as a green pea, which to Will look like the joy green wiener. Jokes kept coming after.
You can catch "About A Boy" Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.
Chicago Fire: "Madmen and Fools"
This week's episode of "Chicago Fire" deals with a family feud but also a misunderstanding in a way.It seems Dawson doesn't think that being trained at the academy means that she's ready to do the stuff that Herrmann and others can do. That's little thinking as Herrmann tells it and gets her trained the sledgehammer and other things. She's doesn't seem to happy at first but hey, she's getting what she'd asked for...to be treated like any other candidate.
Meanwhile after a scene with a boy's head caught in the fence on a story high apartment building and after rescuing him, the mother doesn't seem to think that since her son is okay that he needs to go to the ER. Britt thinks so but after the doctor check him and saw his file that had records stacked high of abuse.
The child was taken away from his mother and soon the mother come to the firehouse to talk to Britt to ask for recommendation of her not being a bad mother. The mother tells her and Severide about how she was young when she had her son and got married to an alcoholic but after getting a restraining order on him and being clean for two years.
At first, Severide didn't want to get involved because of what happen with Shay last year. But Britt did encourage him and soon they visited the mother's place, asked questions and make sure that she's telling the truth. Soon they go down to DCFS and talked to a guy who has a ton of paper. He tells them that he'll look into it when he's got time.
Soon, Britt comes back and shows her bad ass side telling him that he needs to check and get the mother and child together. For the first time, I'm really like the character of Britt. She's someone that has heart but yet we're still learning about her.
Also, Mils and Newhouse are working on a little something. Apparently, Newhouse helps divorce people get what their stuff that was taken from their spouse. Newhouse takes away a dog from a guy and gives it back to his ex-wife. Pretty cool but he does pay the price as Newhouse was getting his phone from his car and get his ass kick from someone who tells him that he knows where he lives.
And the other thing, after finding out that his sister is being scammed away with very little money from her husband, Casey fights to get her something better in return. I was really hoping to see some blood between Brother and brother-in-law but that didn't happen.
Casey's sister didn't want to fight custody, so she decided to take the deal and get back into teaching. After seeing his niece talking to him, Casey asks Newhouse for even more help and got something to blackmail his brother-in-law to give his sister a better deal.
This episode was really good, had everything from excitement and just down right oh my god moment with what Severide did as he went to Las Vegas for the weekend, was hoping to some of the guys from squad would come but didn't and asked Britt to come but declined. Soon we see Severide playing by himself and soon a very pretty lady comes and soon he talks to her and then after a good roll, he kisses her and soon fires are lit.
What will this be for the Lindsey-Severide relationship? I would probably not want to piss Erin off like kissing another girl.
This is the last episode until the show returns in two weeks (Nov. 11th) which will be the event of all events this fall season. The two night, three-show crossover episodes that no one should miss. Here's a link to the promo: Chicago Fire November 11th promo
