If there's a word to describe this new series, it has to be THRILLING.
The new USA Network series "Complications" is about an ER doctor John Ellison, who is dealing with the lost of his daughter, suddenly becomes a hero and saves a boy during a drive boy shooting. But the boy,w ho still alive, is mark to be killed. Ellison is asked from the boy's father to save him no matter what.
Ellison will try and push the limit of what any doctor would do in their daily profession. The question is how far will he go to save a patient?
Ellison is a really good center character. There are a lot of flashbacks from his time with his therapist, who he has to talk to after a wild night in the ER.
Another character that's really good is Gretchen, the nurse. She has this bad Carol Hathaway from ER meets Fiona Glenanne from Burn Notice. She's Ellison's really cool side kick. And in this adventure as Jessica Szohr said in a preview that "they're like Batman and Robin."
This series seems to have just enough thrilling to get me on the edge of my seat at times when things get to be at a stand still.
All in all this series is really good and it's on my list to watch this summer and on my DVR list too.
Overall I give the pilot episode a 8/10. Amazed and on the edge of my seat drama that I don't want to miss this summer.
You can catch "Complications" Thursday nights at 9/8c on USA Network.
