The Carmichael Show "Guns"/"Prayers" Season Finale

The season finale of The Carmichael Show was as it premiered two weeks ago. The show started off strong and hilarious and ending it just the same.

In the "Prayer", the family deal with the difference of religion as Maxine isn't Christian. It drew Jerrod's mother to get them to go to church after an embarrassing night with the family Reverend.

This episode hit the mark not only comedy but also the discussion of respecting other religions. Something that's been an issue at times.

The other episode in this one hour finale, "Guns" dealt the issue of having a gun. When Maxine found a gun in the sock drawer, she doesn't like it one bit and takes it back to Jerrod's dad.

Jerrod come to realize that having a gun gives power to the person. This is after he accidentally shot his dad in the foot.

Each episode had both told excellent stories but also gave a great discussion the these issues. I certainly enjoyed watching this series. It's not only funny but smart and very well done.

This series deserves a second season. If I had to a choice between Mr. Robinson and The Carmichael Show, I would take Carmichael. Even though I do think that Mr. Robinson could use some re-tweaking.

Overall, I give "Prayer" a 9/10 and "Guns" a 10/10.

You can catch episodes of The Carmichael Show or NBC.com.

The Wire's alum admits to Chicago Med

Another star has scrubbed in as a series regular in Chicago Med.

Deadline reports that The Wire's alum, Marlyne Barrett, who played Nerese Campbell, has joined in the NBC medical drama. Barrett will be playing a character name Maggie, who's described to be a "multi-tasking force of nature, a battle-ax with wit and sass."

This isn't her first time the Dick Wolf universe. She's been in Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and the short-lived Law & Order: Trial By Jury, so this will be her fourth appearance in a Wolf series.

Barrett is among other recent additions to the Chicago Fire spin-off that includes new showrunner Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov (The Sopranos).

You can catch the premiere of Chicago Med Tuesday, Nov. 17th at 9/8c on NBC.

Arrow Season 4 Trailer (HD)

The trailer for the upcoming season of Arrow has arrived and it looks freakin amazing!!!

In the style like the other DC Comic films, we see that Oliver Queen is done being the Arrow and leaving his Arrow Family to do the work. In dire need for his help, as Damien Darhk comes to Starling City and wants to let the city die. The way that Oliver comes back kind of looks like The Dark Knight Returns kind of feel, who is a bit out of training.

I've became a fan of this series during the summer watching seasons one and two on Netflix but let to see season three.

Here's the trailer:
