Something Strange In Your Spaceship, Who You Gonna Call?: Doctor Who "Under the Lake"

The Doctor and Clara take a trip to 2119 after a crew picks up an empty spaceship. But it's not any other spaceship; this one somehow brings in an alien ghost. Freaky Dicky!!

This ghost somehow kills one human and turns into a ghost-like figure with no eyes and a muted voice. But the Doctor was so thrilled to meet a ghost and that his thoughts that they couldn't boo a goose, which was one of the best quotes in the episode.

After taking another crew member, the gang decided to take off. But with the water leaking in, they have 30 seconds to get to the TARDIS before the doors close. Well, that splits Clara and the Doctor up, but how long will it take the Doctor to go back to see the event of the flood that had caused all of this and saved Clara and the rest of the crew?

That will have to wait til the next episode. Plus, will the Doctor succeed? If the ghost figure of the Doctor outside the ship would probably give some doubts.

I very much enjoyed this episode. I am amazed and worried about how Clara has acted since this episode began by getting pumped up to travel in time and space. I've never seen anything like that since maybe season seven, but on the other hand, she was never so enthusiastic before. I'm a bit worried.

Overall, I give this episode an 8/10.

You can catch Doctor Who on Saturday nights at 9/8c on BBC America.

One Funeral and a Hacker: Sunday Night Comedy and Season Premiere Drama

Brooklyn Nine-Nine "The Funeral"

The Doberman funeral is set, Holts gives his career some thought, and Jake and Amy hit another difficult challenge in their relationship with their new captain, The Vulture.

Jake and Amy try to get the Vulture in trouble after making a threat to Jake that he should either dump Amy or face demotion to Beat Cop. They did anything in their witty ways to catch him in the act but failed. That was until Holt steps in after listening to Jake's speech at the funeral about how you can't let anything take away from you.

Holt, who's moved up to PR, enters the Nine-Nine and talks to The Vulture about the funeral. He does miss his old job and drinks his glass of wine and sobbing about it. Terry comes in and helps him until Holt asks him for one drink. One drink will give Terry so much energy that he freaks out.

One of my favorite scenes was when Terry talks to Holt about things that bum out his life, mostly the mango yogurt. Also, I couldn't get enough of Jake and Vulture's scene with the bagpipe. And, of course, Scully's reaction was that he looked sad when he said his wife just texted him about leaving him.

But Jake and Amy are still together after Holt gives the Vulture a deal that he would be the face of the NYPD's website so that he would leave their relationship alone.

Overall, I give this episode an 8/10. It was perfect, and I thought there were a lot of very humorous moments in this episode. Sandberg and Fumero are amazing.

You can catch Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Sunday nights at 8:30/7:30c on FOX

CSI: Cyber "Why-Fi" Season Premiere

It is a new season with a fresh start when D.B. Russell joins the team.

The crime in this season premiere is about a father getting attacked and murdered and hacking into the daughter's doll to communicate. One's the hacker, and the other a handler who did the attack. The reason for this is the corporation that the victim worked for.

It was a good start-up story, but not many teeth to put me in. But the one that did get my interest was the chemistry between Danson and Arquette with the cockroach auto racing to the Star Wars reference when D.B. power napping. And, of course, the drone's flying at the end of the episode.

Van Der Beek's character looks to grow in character with the downfall that his father has cancer and doesn't want to do anything. Opening up to a bartender, it wouldn't be a surprise if that wasn't the last time we see her and him together.

Krummy, on the other hand, doesn't look happy when he is called to court to testify against someone special to him. But she accomplished lied to him and was sent to jail. Hopefully, he'll find happiness and comment on her promise.

Ryan, not taking the head of the FBI, has plans to capture one of the most wanted cybercriminals in the world. I can't wait to see what they'll do with that criminal.

I enjoyed this series that premiered last season. But this one seems much better, adding Ted Danson to the cast. There's a lot more balance of humor and crime-solving drama between the cast members.

Overall, I give this episode 7/10.

You can catch CSI: Cyber Sunday nights at 10/9c on CBS.

Homeland "Separation Anxiety" Season Premiere

Homeland returns Sunday with a brand new season after having it's best seasons since it's first season.

The series starts off two to three year jump, Carrie is with her daughter and celebrating her birthday. She tends to have a happy life, working for a security consult for a German Billionaire Company During  Foundation in Germany and having a love interest in her life. But with all this happiness, it all must go away.

When two German hackers try to put a parody video on an online recruiting website, the CIA in Germany gets hacked by the two Germans and looses over 1600 files. Saul isn't to happy and tries to fix it by opening it up to the German officials about how there was files of surveillance tapes. So this is sort of based on what the US had done with Germany that had a bit of trouble a year or so ago.

Peter Quinn seems more quiet in this episode with only a few scenes but left those scenes bold. Informing the intelligence about his thoughts about ISIS and given his two cents to an official. Just thinking back to last season, would he be a different person if he was with Carrie. I, for one, think it was smart for not having Quinn and Carrie together.

As I said before about Carrie, what seemed to be a happy life won't last long for her. During informs her that they'll be going to Lebanon to help the refugees, even though she disagrees on going. She gets kidnapped for trying to get some help with getting protection in Lebanon. She seemed to get what she wanted but I don't think she wants to do it.

We see her and Saul together for the first time, they don't look to happy. Saul doesn't approve to where Carrie is working for, knowing that it's just a blanking mistake. I love these two characters and it's one of the best duos on television.

This season starts off strong. The characters are at a good point and with this situation. After a very, very strong season, I can't wait to see where this will be heading to. This show has always given theses characters in grey situations.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

You can catch Homeland Sunday nights at 9/8c on Showtime.
