Joelle Carter Lands a Role on Chicago legal spinoff

It was announced Monday by Deadline that the former Justified alum Joelle Carter has landed a co-starring role along with Phillip Winchester (The Player) and Nazneen Contractor (Heroes Reborn) in the upcoming Dick Wolf Chicago spinoff series, Chicago Justice.

Caret will be playing Lori Nagle, a tough as nails investigator.

Just like PD and Med, Justice will be introduced into the upcoming episode 21 of Chicago PD.

The Family Comedy is Back!!

Last summer's number one new comedy is back with a preview and a season premiere with in the same week of each other. And once again picks on the funny side of the conversation of topics that makes the show edgy and risky.

The preview episode "Everybody Cheats" has Cynthia debating whether or not to tell her best friend about seeing her husband with another woman. Each member from Jerrod, Maxine to even Joe debate about it and have some different input. And Maxine confuses to Jerrod that while they were going out that she was cheating on her boyfriend with him.

This episode was very good. Grier and Devine were amazing in this episode. The writing was good too. Even though that this episode aired as a preview, it felt in a way that it was an example of what the show is about.

The season premiere, which airs Sunday nights at 9/8c, "Fallen Heroes" dived into the discussion of going to see a childhood hero, who turns out that childhood hero turns out to be Bill Cosby. Jerrod had two tickets to see his comedy show, but Maxine wouldn't go because of what Cosby has done. So Jerrod ask his parents if they want to go, as an anniversary gift.

The whole family takes on if they should or shouldn't go, but when it was just going to be Joe and Jerrod, guilt sets in for Joe while for Jerrod it sets him asking if Cosby is still funny or should he be laughing at his jokes.

The episode was such a well written with risk. The jokes were hilarious, sometimes there were a few that had me balling with laughter. This episode was a well performed from the cast. Literally one of it's best episodes.

As for "The Funeral," Joe gets a phone call from his sister that his father passed away. Joe decides to give him a funeral along with a eulogy too. But Jerrod doesn't see why because the way the guy was before he died.

There were some humor moments but the moment that stole the whole episode was when Joe tells Jerrod of what he had gone through with his dad from protecting his mother from her and such. David Alan Grier gives his best performance in this episode. Along with Devine at the end when she was performing "Ava Marie," even though Cynthia don't remember much of the words expect for "Ava Marie."

Overall, for each episode I give Everybody Cheats"  a 8/10, "Fallen Heroes" a 10/10 and "The Funeral" a 9.5/10.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2 - Official Trailer - Netflix [HD]

The full trailer of the new season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was released on Monday. And in this season looks like she's going to be juggling school, relationships, therapy and working as an Elf at a Christmas department.

She's just making the world a #hashbrown Kimmer place. And after watching this trailer, you would hope that a spinoff to Bunny and Kitty would be in the works.

One Crossover, Two Heroes: Supergirl

Stop the presses!!! Make sure to grab your running shoes and your capes because CBS has some exciting news!!!

CBS announced on Wednesday that Supergirl and The CW's Flash will pair up in a crossover episode starting March 28th.

In the episode, "World's Finest," Supergirl joins forces with a lighting-fast-and super dreamy-hero, The Flash (Grant Gustin), to take out two villains. Lost and confused after spiraling from his universe and landing in Kara's. The Flash asks for her help in finding his way back home.

Excited to finally come face-to-face with one of the good guys, Kara agrees on one condition: the super-runner has to help her take down her ultra-competitive co-worker and screeching malefactor Siobhan, aka Sliver Banshee and Supergirl's old nemesis, Livewire.

This episode's packed with action, excitement and a bit of super-flirting, this is an episodes you do not want to miss.

The crossover episode will air Monday, March 28th at 8/7c on CBS.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot review

If there's one word to describe Whiskey Tango Foxtrot it's astonishing!

Based on a True Story of Kim Barker. This film about a TV journalist Kim Baker, played by Tina Fey, makes some career changes by going out to cover the war in Afghanistan when the rest of the journalist that covered that war are covering the war in Iraq.  Only to gone for a few months, she stays a lot longer and tries to do stories that are interesting for news networks.

After doing pieces on the soldiers, like every other journalist, she sees the thrill of war and catches it on film. Filled with excitement, she wants to cover more of that action along with getting interviews from top officials played by Billy Bob Thornton and Afraid Molina.

She meets other journalist (Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman) that they party hard after a hard days work. Fey and Freeman are hilarious and show a lot of chemistry throughout the film.

It's when Baker finds out that her network isn't going to air her stories because of how no once cares, she tries to find the most dangerous stuff she can do, like filming into a men's only park rally.

Baker realizes that after losing her close friend because of her addiction to getting dangerous stories. Not only one of her friends but two from getting nearly blown up (Margot) to being kidnapped (Freeman). When Baker learns of the kidnapping, she pulls her strings to get information on his location.

Baker grows closer to Freeman's character, but decides to focus on her career and does so as a TV new anchor and finally gets her big break. The ending does give us an open to whether or no they do get together.

This was a well written film. The film balances out humor and serious drama. This isn't like Sisters or Date Night, this film shows nudity and gruesome scenes like the bombing scene which showed dead bodies, one man losing a leg and another one screaming.

Fey is brilliant and shows a wide range of dramatic and comedy in this film. Robbie and Freeman also play well rounded characters as well. And of course, I couldn't get enough of Thornton and Fey scenes.

Overall,  I give this film a 9/10.

Ghostbusters Trailer Revealed

On Thursday, Sony Pictures releases the first full trailer of Ghostbusters. Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones team up and take on the paranormal world .They take on the powerful and mysterious evil demon Roman. 

This looks so freakin hilarious. So far these four look perfect to take on the ghost and demons. The one thing that got me so excited is that Slimer is in the trailer. He looks good for 30 years of nothing but eating and slimming. Even though they didn't show the original characters, I think that they'll either show it in the final trailer or not and save it as a complete surprise. I go for surprise.

For Honor and Love: The Mysteries of Laura "The Mystery of the End of Watch" Part 2 Season Finale

In part two of the two-part season finale, Laura and the gang not only deal with the death of a fellow officer but also the murderer who did it and a moment of truth as someone speaks about her love for him.

This episode was emotional from the start, reviewing the event that occurred at the time of the shooting. We see Laura lying there with Santiani in shock and sadness. Soon, Laura gets to Santiani's son's school to inform him.

As everyone at the station is still in shock, Max isn't showing any emotions. Jake puts Santiani on the board as the only victim. The team pulls together and starts digging into who could have done it.

They all thought that it was Chung, the drug lord, that they busted in Part 1. He did threaten Laura before being taken away, and Laura thought that the shot was for her. Even though Chung wasn't in jail, he was later ruled out as a suspect.

That's when they move in on the ex-husband of Santiani. Laura got word that Nancy's son had disappeared. She and Jake look around the kid's room to find any clues. Laura finds an envelope with a plane ticket to the Cape Canaveral.

She shows Jake the ticket, drops him off at the station, and heads home. Jake sees a shop about to go out of business and heads over to buy a ring for Jen. He plans to propose to Jen. Jake tells Billy about and questions the man's motives.

In the meantime, Laura wakes and sees her boys all quiet and behaving right under Lucy's care. When talking to Lucy, she gets a flashback of Santiani and her tracker on her son's phone. They had to race towards the station and get Meredith to hack into Santiani's computer. Go figure that she is the only one using the past given password they track and find Santiani's son as he's with his father. After taking the father in for questions and a polygraph test, Laura suspects he knows who killed Santiani and will go with the plan., which is to take the money that he and the kid were to have when Santiani dies. It's about money.

The team gets set, and Laura sees the playing field. As the drop goes down, they need a confession from them, and they do, and the hounds are after them. After Meredith and Billy get one, Jake takes one down from the top and jumps on him.

After the capture and watching the son walk out with his grandmother and father, the team gathers around and listens to the call of Santiani as a salute. Every cop in New York City was silent as her name was being called.  That was such an emotional scene.

After that, Laura hugs Max, who hasn't shown any emotion after Santiani's death. Soon, Jake leaves. Billy tells Laura what Jake is about to do, and she heads home. Laura is emotional, and Lucy tells her to go after them. She races like no other and heads to where Jake and Jen are having dinner. She asks him for a minute to talk, and she tells him that she still has feelings for him. She tells him to throw the ring out and come home with her to be with the boys, but that's until Jen comes in and shows the ring on her finger.

This episode was so good. I am emotional from beginning to end, and I still want to see more. Messing gives her best performance, showing both comedic and dramatic. I love the scene where Debby and Debra talk near the end, and Debby tells her to go after him. That was so good. And the moment they honored Santaini, I thought that was such a beautiful sendoff and what the NYPD does when an officer has died.

Overall, I loved this season and gave it an 8.5/10. I want to see Laura back. Please bring it back in the same amount of episodes; that's fine. This is such a great mystery show and a show that a family can watch together. It has a great cast and excellent writing; I don't want to wait the 11th and a half hour to hear that they've been renewed. Renewed them now, NBC!!!

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10. It was just so good, more dramatic, and a little comedy.
