On Saturday, while the Paleyfest honored Dick Wolf, it was announced that a Rocky alum will be joining the cast in the next installment of the Chicago spinoff.
Carl Weathers, played the iconic Apollo Creed and also co-stared in the hit USA Network series Colony, will play State's Attorney Mark Jefferies, in the backdoor pilot during episode 21 of Chicago PD.
Weathers is the latest addition to the cast along side Philip Winschester (The Player), Joelle Carter (Justified) and Nazneen Contractor (Heroes Reborn).
Weathers has also been credited on Arrested Development and In The Heat of the Night.
Also in other Chicago news, the future for Dawsey seems to row bumpy with a new altercation.
As Casey's political race moves on, when trouble comes Lauren Stamile (Burn Notice and Complications) enters the picture as a political consultant.
Jesse Spencer tell TVLine that, They're denying it. It's not fully conscious, but there is an attraction there."
And not to mention,if you were looking forward to the Lindsay-Halstead road trip episode, think again as it has been axed.
It was the story was set as Episode 15 had a change of pace as the two detectives take a raod trip to Wisconsin for a case. On their way there, they share some one on one time as they shed some backstory about each other.
The episode was suppose to come after Lindsay's confrontation with Yates. But the tone wasn't quite there.
Sophie Bush tells TVLine that " It didn't feel appropriate to have that happen on the heels of it. Our show is very often dealing with sensitive material, especially where we are at the end of the third season. It didn't work energetically or in a linear way to do a show that felt a little bit like a departure and had so much comedy in it."
But that being said, you can still expect some more Linstead moments. They are trying to remind the audience that they are in a relationship. And that they are trying to give more of what the fans and audience wants to see of the hot TV couple.
