Five Reasons to Watch The Blacklist After the Super Bowl

We’re just a day way til the biggest sporting event in the country begins. The New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona. Who isn't excited about it? As I’m rooting for the Patriots, I’ll be looking forward to the Super Bowl after show which will be The Blacklist.

Yes, after the Super Bowl The Blacklist will air a two-part episode. If you haven’t heard of the show, it’s about an FBI most wanted criminal, Raymond “Red” Reddington (played by James Spader), turned himself in, he not only surrendered by gives the FBI a bit of interest when he reveals that he has a list of the most dangerous and vicious criminals that they don’t know. But he’ll help with only one condition, that he works only with a rookie FBI agent, Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone).

Now in it’s second season, the show is a massive hit, if you haven’t seen it, I recommend you to stay tune after the game.

1. The man that's Red

(Source: Tumblr)

Bold, smart, class and wears the best hats, James Spader is the right guy to play Raymond "Red" Reddington. Can you think of anyone else playing this character?

2. Red’s monologues

If there’s something that you can’t get enough of it’s hearing Red’s amusing and dramatic monologues. It could be either during a moment of danger or when he’s confronting a blacklister or someone that he admires.

3. The criminals on the list

Embedded image permalink

The criminals that are on the show are amazing and scary. These are the ones that are being caught but also hunting as well.  There's  names like The Stewmaker, The Judge, The Alchemist, Lord Baltimore and for this Sunday’s episode, the blacklister is Luther Braxton who will be played by Ron Perlman. Who wouldn't be afraid of this criminal?

4. One tough FBI agent

Just like Red, Elizabeth Keen, is one tough character. She maybe nice and sweet on the outside but she can kick butt on the inside. This second half of the season we'll learn why Red is tied to her past. Which is one of the most asked question of the series.

5. The stories are thrilling

The writing on this show is outstanding. The story lines and the characters that they writers come up with is so creative and fresh. It’s such a thrilling, action-packed show that keeps you on your feet and once you think what might turn out will go completely opposite.

If you haven’t seen The Blacklist, you can catch the first season on Netflix and you can catch up on this season’s episodes/recaps at NBC.com. Don’t miss The Blacklist when it airs after the Super Bowl, which is a two-part episode that will conclude on its new night and time Thursday, Feb. 5th at 9/8c. You really can’t miss it.

Always & Forever: Parenthood "May God Bless and Keep You Always"

Just six years ago, we were introduced to the Bravermans and now we say goodbye, as tonight was the series finale of Parenthood and the whole meaning of this series is staying together.

The wedding is being planned out with Amber, Camille and Sarah. Things at Amber's apartment is a bit crowed with all that baby stuff. In the meantime, Hank goes over to see Zeek and ask for his blessing to marry his favorite daughter. Of course, he accepts.

If you think I started crying after that, NOT! I started when the episode first started.

Later on Crosby and Jasmine comes by with gifts for Amber and Crosby tells her that the luncheonette is shutting down. Amber not to happy about it but she handled it.

As soon as Crosby got back to help Adam clear things out, Adam wants him to sign the last contract and then they'll be done. Tension between them comes in the air but it was gone by the time the wedding.

As the wedding was soon to be getting started Max takes everyone's photo. We have one of the best photo shoot scene ever on television. I bet that most of that was improv.

As we see Sarah walking down with Zeek, hands her to Hank, Zeek looks emotional as he walks to his seat and soon Sarah and Hank are married.

The party couldn't be any happier after crying for the first 25 minutes of the show. Crosby talks to Jasmine about him owning the Luncheonette, Camille and Zeek asking Amber to move in with them and even Max getting to dance with a girl that they both like.

As the wedding ends, we move ahead. Adam who we thought was going to get the job at the water company doesn't after Kristina offers Adam Head Master job at Chambers after seeing him cooking with the kids.

Amber is moved in with her grandparents.

But it was when we see Camille looking at Sarah's wedding photos. That's when she was talking to Zeek, until he never responded to her. She goes into the living room and well....he passed away in his sleep in his favorite chair.

The family celebrates his death with a game of baseball. It was the one thing that Zeek loved to do is to take his kids and grand kids to the ballpark. After each member dumps his ashes on the mound, they start playing baseball.

As we see them playing we see clips of each family's future. Joel and Julia not only adopted Victor's half-sister but they had another child. Crosby and Amber are doing well with the Luncheonette as the artists were recording "Forever Young" as it's playing during the montage.

Also Jasmine is expecting another child. Also we see Max graduate from Chambers and as Adam hands him his diploma, proud with the rest of the family cheering on.

And well Camille, she went to that cafe place in Italy, the place where Zeek was going to surprise her for their wedding anniversary.

As soon as the game was over, the family walks off heading home for what I think is another family dinner together.

I have't seen a finale this good since Friday Night Lights and ER. This was one of the best ever. I've loved this series from the beginning. This show was so original and keep true to real life storytelling.

Now, we have this show that will live forever as the Braverman family be. They may leave our TV screens, but they'll always and forever be in our hearts.

You can catch the series finale of Parenthood on nbc.com.

The Boyz and Gang: Tuesday Night Comedy Night

Parks and Recreations: "Grizzyl"/"Save JJ's"

As Leslie and Ben try to come up with a plan to complete with Grizzyl and get take the for sale park. When all of the sudden a droid comes knocking with a gift for Leslie. Creepy has it is for that to happen, it turns out that everyone in Pawnee was getting gifts from droids and that they were from Grizzyl.

Turns out that Grizzyl has been easy dropping on the phone calls, text messages and browser history and giving citizens what they want. Maybe this is what the CIA should be doing for all of us. There are a couple of things I would want right now.

So Leslie and the team try to find a way to stop them. As they took them to Perd's court tv show, Ron comes back to tell them that Grizzyl had gotten Ben to sign a contract with other small things that include easy dropping on the citizen's privacy.

April on the meantime was helping Craig to find a new intern for the parks department. Trying to scary away those that apply, she comes to terms and brought a lot more people to apply for the internship.

As soon as they did find it they tried to get a mistrail. After a tough day, Ben and Leslie talk and soon a knock at the door. It was Ron, in the rain with a broken droid because it came to delivery a gift for his four year old son, so he shot it and now wants to stick it to Grizzyl just like Leslie does.

As the next episode comes, the team comes together and think of a way to stop Grizzyl but another thing had take it's stop there and it was that the news of JJ's Diner was going to close. Leslie and Ron come together and have a rely save it.

Meanwhile it was one of the best moments of the episode and probably the last one. It's that time of the year...Treat Yo Self 2015!!! Tom and Donna went all out all the way to Beverly Hills.

Also with Lucy back and no broken up with her boyfriend in Chicago, Tom tries to go slowly and ask her out for Donna's wedding. They are now back together and are the it couple of the season, for me.

Later on, Leslie and Ron had a great idea and used it to get Grizzyl to take the abandoned south side area of Pawnee. They took it. And now things will get moving.

You can catch the farewell season of Parks and Recreation Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Marry Me: "Friend Me"

As the wedding is getting near, Anne has her bridemaids all picked up, all nine of them while Jake one has one. This made Anne sad and soon called up his old friends, the boyz to visit and have them as his best men.

Things take a tumble when the boyz take Jake out drinking and partying most of the week. It turns out that the boyz doesn't really like Jake marrying Anne. They think that she's not a right kind of person for him.

That turns Anne to go up against the boyz in a drinking game to see who knows Jake the best. Anne won of course and it turned out to be one hell of an episode.

You can catch "Marry Me" Tuesday night at 9/8c on NBC.

About A Boy: "About A Hook"

When Mr. Chris comes to Fiona and Marcus's house often for some time together. Marcus throws a fit about him. He tells Fiona that he's boring and talks to much. He's showing what all boys go through if they don't like the person their parents are dating.

Meanwhile Will is trying to get that one hook for a song to give to that music producer so he can have another hit song. After him and Andy try to figure it out a song, Will gets a knock at the door which turned out to be Marcus.

Marcus wants to stay with Will until his mother stops seeing Chris. That was not cool with Will at all. Hearing words like sweaty bed and goodnight kiss. It was driving Will crazy.

Will talks to Fiona and he agree to get them together in a nurture place, a restaurant. It didn't go to well with Marcus again when Will and Chris got a long with football talk.

Marcus left and went to sleep in his treehouse. Will told him that his mother still cares for him and played the voice messages on his phone, about five maybe ten messages. Marcus forgave his mother and soon the words love bubble came to Will's mind and turns out to be a good song.

I think that Fiona will be getting half of that song's earnings. In the meantime, this episode was very good and I love how Marcus took the episode. Still Andy is hilarious as Will's best friend.

You can catch "About A Boy" Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.

The One: Eye Candy "HBTU"

image

Tensions and relationships rises as the hunt for the stalker/serial killer is on. As Lindy and Tommy look for Reese in his apartment. A couple of manikins sitting on the couch holding a wine glass.

When Lindy walks and looks around, she walks into a bunch of hanging teeth, one by one on a wire hanging from the ceiling like a decoration, which scared the hell out of Lindy and also me too,  but it wasn't Reese, it was one of the missing person that Lindy was trying to help.

As this episode goes, we see a bit of sexual tension between Lindy and Tommy as each butt heads. Tommy get up tight at times but I know where he's coming at. When a friend of yours is dead, you try and take care of that friend's girlfriend. Even if there might be something cooking there.

Later on the in episode, Lindy gets a package from the killer as he was next door. The package was a photo of her and her sister, before she was kidnapped.

Freaking out, she talked to Catherine about the last time she saw her sister and about that photo. It was later on that the photo was a mixed of other photos mashed together which Tommy put together and found three other murders.

With the three murders there was a connection that Lindy found that they were both on flirtual, the online dating service. Both of them are killed for their own personal flaws, they each lie about their appearance.

One was killed with his eyes taken out, the other his finger tips cut off and the last was killed and had her breast implants ripped out. Lindy found out by going back to Reese's place that the killer was looking for perfection and also to finish as well.

It was later that evening, Lindy got the surprise by Sophia as she threw a surprise birthday party. Soon
enough the guy that Lindy is trying to avoid is there with a gift, Jake, the suspect. But when Lindy starts to feel funny, Jake sits her down and gets her a glass a water and soon the fire alarm goes off when a fire was set in the bathroom.

That was the prefect distraction for the killer to came and take Lindy without anyone noticing. When Tommy got there, it was too late and arrested Jake but he was let go. Lindy on the other hand was taken to a place and saw the killer kill Reese, but not without leaving a present for her and that gift was the bracelet that she gave her sister.

With three episodes in this series is getting pretty thrilling and full of suspense. I like how there's that tension between Tommy and Lindy because as those two butt heads, I think that they might fall for each other soon.

You can catch "Eye Candy" Mondays at 10/9c on MTV.

Family of Love: Parenthood "We Made It Through the Night"

Well guys, we made it through the night with this episode that was yet again full of emotion, from the first five minutes to the the end and to the promo for next week's series finale. Does it feel surreal?
This week's episode deals with a few things that tie up a few things before the series finale. Joel and Julia are moving back, but before things could get back to normal, they have to come to terms that things have happen while they were separated, like Julia sleeping with people and well, Joel didn't.
After telling their kids that daddy's back, Victor asked if it was going to happen again. It almost did, during breakfast, when Julia got a phone call from her boss and former lover. They finally talked things out the way it should, talking about it into the car.
Folks must of been going nuts with Amber and when the baby would be born. It also kind of answered my question. With the word that a death in the family was going to happen, my thought that it was either going to be Zeek or the baby, in television things can happen.
But thank god, I was wrong and the baby boy was born. The sweetest thing that a grandchild can due was name her child after her own grandfather. One of the most beautiful scenes throughout the episode was Zeek holding Zeek and the face he gave, heartwarming.
Well, I guess it's bye bye, to the Luncheonette, again! As the two ere about to get things back over there, while waiting for the baby the first time, Jasmine and Kristina talked about the guys and their business. As Kristina is Kristina, she has a problem with it and it turns out into a whole argument that upset Crosby more for Jasmine to tell Adam about his problem.
Things to calm down for the two women. It didn't do well for Zeek as for the first time, he could go between the argument, His health as we can call see is turning worst. As we first see him and Camille walking up the hill near the bay waters, he finally told her that he doesn't wasn't the surgery.
There are many scenes that made it emotional, seeing Camille painting a portrait of Zeek, I call it "The Father." I think its a masterpiece. While he was sitting he told her that it was time to tell the kids and that he wanted to have a family dinner with just the six original Braverman family.
While their dinner, they talked about the funny times, until Adam and Crosby argued about something, once again and soon Zeek couldn't take it again and went into the other room to lay down. Sarah walks in and talks to him, one of the most beautiful scenes was when she told him that Hank proposal to her. The one thing that he said was that he can't wait to walk her down the aisle.
The one thing out of this episode that didn't feel like wasn't sad was when Adam and one of the kids at the Chambers school was doing a Career week and he asked him to teach him how to cook French.
Just to prove a point to Max after he gave his stats about students like him won't get jobs and be losers.
Well, they proved him wrong and both made a chocolate French cake. As we saw them filled with excitement, we can see the other students learning from the other teachers. Something that makes you feel good and not want to cry with sadness.
There was a moment that Kristina and Adam talked to Max about and it was how much his stat about him and the other kids won't get jobs. What they told him was what we all proud to gave seen in him and that was see him grow so, so much.
We can see things a tying up just a bit before next week. Every single moment is a tissue moment. As I tweeted out after the show, the time has come, to come together one last time, to celebrate as one big happy family.
You can catch the series finale of Parenthood next Thursday at 10/9c on NBC.
Any thoughts about last night's episode?

Returning to the Family: Chicago PD "Disco Bob"

I assume there will always be tension between veteran cops. In this week's episode of Chicago PD, we meet Ruzek's father, known to all as Disco Bob, an on-the-beat officer.

When a case of a murdered family is called, some tension between Bob and Voight still hangs from the past. As the team gets an observation of the crime scene, there seems to be a child that's missing from the group. Soon, the team finds a blood trail that leads to the basement and a handprint of the child.

The Voight and team go out to search for the father because, most of the time, it tends to be the father who causes these kinds of murders, right? The father's car was spotted and soon found him as he was doing a security installment job. As soon as the team found him,, hey took him to the house and questioned him.

Voight and Dawson are questioned non-stop about the father are questioned non-stop about the father. Things get challenging for the guy until he is let go. As they searched the background of the father and the victim, they had been having money trouble and that the victim was having a relationship with her boss at a low-rated newspaper.

As things heated up, Burgess and Roman, back in action, took to the streets to find the missing boy. As they found someone who knew the victim, they gave information about someone who knew them well. They stopped there and talked to the victim's friend.

That's when he told them that he might be at an abandoned house where he takes his sister and has some peace and quiet together and that sometimes he follows them. When Burgess and Roman get there, they see the basement door unlocked. As they go in, they find the boy, shot and barely alive.

How a kid who gets shothousemakes it all the way to that house is fantastic.

As soon as Voight and the team got the news, they waited until the boy got well to ask him questions about what the person looked like and looked at mugshots. When the kid saw one of the photos, he became reticent, but it was the guy.

They searched for and got him as soon as they got the name. They questioned him, and boy, did he talk.

This led to it not being the father's idea but the victim's friend, the father's daughter. He did it because her mother disapproved of him being her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, things got heated with Halstead and Linsey's relationship. The hashtag #SKINstead was trending on Twitter last night. They seem in love, but they want to take it slow. That's when we thought that Erin was going to be still working for the Feds.

But later, we find out that she has decided to come back home and be with her family where it matters instead of the crappy politics controlling.

Also, we learned about the beef between Voight and Disco Bob. Apparently, when Disco Bob kept calling Voight a dirty cop, things got heated after that.

After Ruzek learned about that, he talked to his father. His father told him that he didn't want his job controlling him and asked him why he kept the same job he's doing now...it was for him to be at his games, to take him to the movies, to be a father.

I thought that was really sweet. Things are getting back to normal right now.

The next episode will be after the Super Bowl when Fire and PD come together and get the guy responsible for killing Shay. If you haven't seen the video, check it on YouTube or nbc.com, or wait for it during the Super Bowl commercials. That would be sweet to see.

Batting Down the Hatches: Parks and Recreation"William Henry Harrison/Leslie and Ron"

If I had to call what last night's Parks and Recreation was all about in a couple of words it would be that this one hour would be called the Leslie and Ron Comedy Hour.

This week's episodes, we see Leslie and Ron are at each other's feet when it comes to getting the Newport park. Leslie wants a national park while Ron wants it to be commercial business. All of this feud seems to be from project Morningstar.

In the first episode, Leslie is trying to get proof that Newport park has interesting historical facts that would draw people to come, while Ron brought in a popular star who makes milk out of beef. These feud is drawing a lot of tension between Ben and the others.

This was when Ben had to go back and forth getting Leslie and Ron's signature with Terry. I think going anywhere with Terry would be the worst thing in the world.

But it was at that point that Ben and the gang decided to do a some kind of intervention. They brought Leslie and Ron into the old Park's office and locked them up for the next 12 hours, as they want them to forgive each other.

It was one of the best damn episodes so far. I love anything that has Leslie and Ron in a scene or an episode, let alone have a bottle episode was outstanding.

We see Leslie trying t figure it out, while Ron doesn't want to do anything. We hear from both sides of the story of what went down and when Ron finally talked about it, it was one of the best emotional scene since Ben asked Leslie to marry him.

After that it was back to fun city with Leslie and Ron and they are back being the best of friends, mentor and mentee.

You can catch the final season of Parks and Recreation Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Tension and Suspense: State of Affairs "Cry Havoc"

Tonight's episode of "State of Affairs" has shown a lot of growth from the Pilot to now. This series has really taken on some really thrilling and suspenseful stories that just have me on the edge of my seat.

In "Cry Havoc"  we see the terrorist suspect, who is a young American college student, leaving her one night stand and goes back to her place and then takes off. She heads to a resident's home and soon blows up the yard and near the house.

Then we turn up a couple of hours before that event happen and Charlie gets the phone call about the suspect that they are after. Soon her and her team learn that the FBI won't go and take her in because of a speculations of the suspect.

Soon, Charlie, who is back briefing POTUS, goes in to inform her what the situation is with the events that are going on. Soon, we get into more about the events that took Charlie's fiance and the President's son. Who's the one who took the photo and sharing it. The President talks to Charlie if she trusts her team

Charlie's team get polygraph. Lucas is not in a stable condition with his alcoholism, Mo is nervous do to the fact that she slept with Lucas  a couple of times, But the one that lied his way through a perfect score and not lying was Kurt. He was the one who was sending Charlie messages that she should come clean about it.

With a report about the events that took the life the President's son, two senators were about to use it for leverage. But that didn't go, because by the time Charlie's boss was talking to one of the senators at a safe house, which didn't turnout to be safe until that girl comes and blows it up.

Meanwhile Nick has been traveling around the world somehow, but we do get to the bottom of their asset if he betrayed them or not. He didn't and helped Charlie nail all the students and others who were getting information to blow stuff up.

As I said before this show has really grown to be an great show. Charlie has gone through so much from where we first saw her in the pilot. I'm really enjoying the conflict between the President and the First Husband. Things get even better when next week's episode comes.

You can catch State of Affairs Monday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

You can catch recaps and others here or on The Quiet Corner.

Driving on the Edge: Eye Candy "BRB"

As the hunt is on for the serial killer/cyber stalker, Lindy is bound to bring the person to justice. In this week's new episode, Lindy is grieving is on non-strop to find Ben's killer.

She's out dating with guys that she suspects the one. But she get's stop by Ben's partner and he tells her to back off and let them do their job.

You can just see that she's never going to give up. So after their little chat, Lindy goes out to the local coffee shop but as soon as she sits down, she's talking to a lady that turns out to be the NYPD's Cyber Unit and talks to Lindy about if she joins them she can help find her sister. The other point was that she was following one of the guys she's dating.

As the episode goes on, Lindy sneaks into work late with her coworker and hack into the street cameras. And what do they see, a car that wasn't there but there after the camera comeback. It turns out to be the boyfriend she was about to go out with until the detective stopped her.

So, she agrees to work with the cyber unit and goes out with the suspect. As they left, the detective follows but when the suspect notices the car following he sets off the bridge gate to come down and block the detective.

One scene had Lindy all surprised as she was about to head out for date, he's there at her door with a bag of food. He wanted and did cook her and her friends dinner. Who knows what this guy might do to them, right? Possibly poison them?

As the suspect and Lindy chatted, soon things get a bit heated and Lindy left and got into the suspect's car but then things take a left turn, if you will. Lindy get into the car and a dummy body full of photos is sitting in the driver's seat and all of the sudden the car goes automatic. The detective is int he trunk and soon Lindy hacks into the car and stops it.

As soon as Lindy's friends make it to the Cyber Unit's office, they are in protection as the dummy body was full of photos of Lindy and her friends. No one is safe from this guy. But the person you thought you know who it was, turns not to be the one Lindy gets a video message along with the detective and it was their suspect in fear talking to the killer. The killer is still out there. Who is this person?

This week's episode turned out not the be disappointing at all. The story or character didn't go off the rails.  I'm very much enjoying this show after two episodes in. It had me that they could have had their guy until that final scene.

Next week's episode shows that the hunt is still on and that this is only getting started.

You can catch Eye Candy Monday nights at 10/9c on MTV.

An Affection Of Love: Parenthood "Let's Go Home"

image
If there's anything to take out of this week's episode of Parenthood, it's love. Well, almost every episode is about love but this one seems to stand out full of it without any issues.
Zeek was on a mission to find a gift for his first great grand (son or daughter) a signed baseball but it was in a shoebox but can't remember where he put it.
Searching for it, he also found a box full of film and that to Max to see what was in it, which turn out to be 40+ yrs of memories of the Braverman kids.
On the otherside, Adam comes clean to Crosby about his decision of what to do with the Lunchonette. You could see Crosby was just devastated of it but Jasmine came in, talked to Adam about it and as Adam went back to think it through, knowing what Crosby has helped him through those rough times that it's his turn to help Crosby.
In a way, I see the Lunchonette as a symbol for the entire series. At first couple of yrs it was great but then it started to no do good as business has gone down.
Two other things as well, we'll have another wedding as Sarah says "yes" to Hank's proposal and Joel and Juila are officially back together.
The one moment in this episode that stood out was when Drew apologize to Zeek about telling on him about the trip. Of course, he told Drew that sometimes anger is an affection of love. And then, Zeek remembered what he did with the baseball; that it's back at the old house. But when him and Camille went back, they saw a family with two kids and a expecting mother.
But at the moment, Zeek decided not to go over there and said that one of these days those kids will go up in the addict and find treasure.
The one thing I didn't like was of Kristina shutting down Adam's rethinking about the Lunchonette. What a meanie she was in this episode.
As for next we, it's the last episode before the finale. Everything is meant up for this, there's a birth, a wedding and the decision that we're all waiting for. This would be the time to get others to start watching the show.
You can catch Parenthood Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Fired Up!: Wednesday Night Drama

The Mysteries of Laura: "The Mystery of the Fateful Fire"

If one word could be described about tonight's Mysteries of Laura episode it would be hot.
The episode began with Laura talking to someone very seriously, that it might have been a crime. Wrong it was to a coffee shop worker who was given back shorter change.

When everyone clapped for her one mom from her kids school talked to her about winter carnival, in which she had no clue and didn't want to do it.

But she did and after asking the one that signed up, Jake, to take the next two days off.
As Jake approved, a familar old fame (played by Anastasia Griffith) of his returns, but for the fire case, which thought to be arson turned out to be a homicide. Laura multitask both the case and putting together the winter carnival stuff.

One of the best scenes was when she was at home and put together a replica of the scene of the fire and how the guy saved the boy. It was one of the best ways to solve a crime ever.

After thinking it might be a person who loves to start fires ot the ex-boyfriend, even the good Samaritan who saved the boy or the kid's mother. It turned out to be the boy who started the fire so he could keep warm due to the landlord was trying to throw them out. Didn't know that there was someone in the basement who died.

Throughout the story, a bit a jealously rained on Laura of Jake's ex and twice takes to each other. After the case, both talked and.Laura was fine with her dating Jake again, but with a look she really didn't mean it.

Next week's Laura is about to get smoking and love reunites.

You can catch The Mysteries of Laura Wednesday nights at 8/7c on NBC, part of #WomanCrushWednesdays

Also Burgess is back but on light duty. She's being the nicer side of Sergeant Pratt. While Pratt is with Roman doing their thing and getting some details for Voight.

At the end Roman feels bad about what Burgess went through and she tells him that it wasn't fault. Well hell, that turned her around and turned down the offer of being in the intelligence unit. I'm surprised but also happy she did it.

The Final Begins: Parks & Recreation "2017" & "Ron and Jammy"

image

As the farewell season of Parks & Recreation began, from the last season's finale to the season premiere we've jumped two years to 2017. The one thing still stands Leslie still working to get a national park going in Pawnee, IN.

But there's one or a few people that are standing in her way to do it...Ron Swanson. Apparently there's a feud between them that has them going from best friends to best enemies.

Both are working to make the either a corporate business or a national park. Game is on!!
In the meantime, Ben received a recognition award for his services, Tom is one of the most successful business man in town, that's how he puts it. And Andy and April think they are now the boring old married couple that they don't want to be.

As for the second episode, the beast is back and this time it's not who you think it would go, unless the title gives it away.

As Leslie and Ron battle out to win the open land, Leslie tries to convince Jam to vote for her proposal but one thing stands out, Tommy 2 and Jam are dating.

Leslie thought this would be a great idea to get back at Ron but that didn't work out.
Leslie saw in Jam what Tammy has done to Ron in the past and she has transformed him into Ron like. So Leslie asked Ron for help Jam to get over Ron. It wasn't pretty. But he did get over her. Apparently he don't need to crotch mask to defeat Tammy, which you had inside you all along. Jam decided not to vote for the proposal because of what Leslie and Ron did.

Meanwhile, Tom and Chris head to Chicago to see a familiar face, Tom's old girlfriend. She joins Tom and his business.

Tom still has feelings for her but too late...she has a boyfriend.
The one thing that got me in this episode was that the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Okay I'll take that bet. First Back to the Future and now Parks & Rec.

Feel like the season has started off strong. I literally love the friendship and chemistry between Leslie and Ron. Put them up there along with Liz and Jack and Mary and Lou.

You can catch "Parks & Recreation" Tuesday nights at 8/7c on NBC.

Don't Spoil the Fun out of It: Tuesday Night Comedies and Drama

Marry Me: "Spoil Me"

How often do couples fight over this issue? Probably more than you think thanks to binge watching and DVR's were invented.

When Anne and Jack get home trying to avoid the spoil alerts from friends and coworkers of a hit show "The Moors" and making it their special night together. But as they get everything in place Anne has notice that the finale of the show has been watched.

Both turned on each other, think that one of them watched it.

It got so crazy that each took a lie detector test from a cop that Annie's friend was dating.
Turns out that both of them have watched the how's season finale.

This episode might not be as funny as last week's but it still held up to be pretty funny.

You can catch "Marry Me" Tuesday night's at 9/8c on NBC.

imageAbout A Boy: "About a Boy Becoming a Man"

When Andy tells Will that he was going to a music producer's son's Bar Mitzvah. Will wants to go and give some songs that.he.has written. But as he's Andy's plus one, that turn out to be Andy's boyfriend.

Meanwhile, Fiona is having trouble with her relationship with Chris. The problem: telling Marcus about it. When she tries to tell him and learning code words like "night biking" meant. She was going to tell him but when Marcus asked to stay home without a sitter.

That's when she didn't tell him and let him stay home. For Marcus, staying home alone was a plan to have Shay come over and soon those two went to the Bar Mitzvah party.

Everything fell apart for Will but him and Andy inspired the producer's son to come out. But probably no deal with music. Fiona and Chris...he's letting her talk to Marcus about their relationship.
This episode was hilarious and heartwarming at the end.

I love the relationship with Marcus and Shay those two are hitting it off. Will and Andy pretending to be a gay couple was funny. And there were awkward moments for Fiona with Chris and Marcus but at the end watching her sing at the bedroom door to Marcus and him soon to sing along was heartwarming.

You can catch "About A Boy" Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30c on NBC.

Chicago Fire: "Ambush Predator"

Last week we were left with a stunning end that the warehouse fire that an arsonist is to blame not just this fire but that he kept.a clipping of a story of Shay's death.

Severide and Dawson go into the arson fire and try to find if that fire was caused by the same from the fire that killed Shay. They go back into the building, memories come back them, mostly Dawson who tells Severide about what happen.

They try find something but nothing even though Severide saw something different like where the fire was placed at. Soon they went to one of the head officers and asked for help. She does and gives Dawson and Severide a flash drive of photos of documents. Soon they find a piece of metal that help caused the fire which tells them that Shay was murder.

Meanwhile, one accident turns into a real Sophie's choice when a lady and the fire chaplain are in a car crash. Casey takes leadership and takes the risk of getting her out first and then him out.
After a difficult couple of days, both of them were okay.

Bowden's father finally came to see his grandson. He might be a.control freak but there might be a reason for that...Bowden's dad has stage four cancer.

And one of the other moments was of Mils and Britt. They have a.chance to talk to someone about what they went through last week. Mils thinks he's okay but when they get a call and see a lady with a bloody nose, he.gets upset. But.the lady refused treatment so they left them. Soon after bringing in a person with four cut fingers, they see the lady badly beaten. Mils goes to the house and beats the guy up and threatening him. Mils is off the edge.

The next episode seems to be another great crossover with PD on the hunt of Shay's killer which turns out to a real character.

You can catch "Chicago Fire" Tuesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

A Newer Version of Cat and Mouse Game: Eye Candy "K3U" Series Premiere

image
Think of it as a cat and mouse game but in this case both are playing each other. That's what the new MTV series Eye Candy, based on the novel by R.L.Stine.
When a young computer hacker, Lindy (played by Victoria Justice) is off probation of her computer  hacking. She celebrates with her friends and soon gets signed up to an online dating service, given the nickname Eye Candy.
After talking to over a bunch of guys some ranging from good to no way, she leaves and soon receives a text message from one of them. Unknown to her who he is, he starts playing with her by hacking onto her computer and stalking her, sending her messages that are just the creeps.
Lindy goes and searches for the guy that it could be one of those guys she's has met. As she met with them, hacking on their.phones, her plan backfired when the last one leaves and accidentally switched phones with her. By the time she gets to him, he's dead on the park benched, with her phone in his mouth and.soon a text appears telling her that he thought they were exclusive.
image
By telling her ex-boyfriend and cop, Ben, and another cop, Tom, Lindy shows them that three people who've been on the online dating service has disappeared.
After spending sometime with Ben, Lindy was back at work the next night and soon gets a message on her computer and a four camera videos of her place seeing her best friend and.the stalker. When she told Ben, they both rush to the house but only Ben got there first and got knocked out.
When Lindy gets there she sees a dummy body with a computer and a video of Ben. The stalker wants her to say what she feels and that is that she loves him. That's when she later found him up the roof of her apartment dead.
This stalker is playing such mind games with Lindy. A bit of Hannibal Lecter-like serial killer who has an issue with people lying about how perfect they are.
Lindy seems to be tough character and has a will to do anything to stop. We meet her in the beginning with her sister, who was kidnapped on her own watched, about three years early before everything happen.
This is a totally new side of Victoria Justice's acting. This separates her from her Victorious character of a funny, singer into a young adult sexy and tough side.
As I said this series seems to be a cat playing with a mouse but also the other way around as the mouse catching the cat. We'll see what the series will bring and learn more about Lindy and.her missing sister, plus these murders that appear left and right.
I'm looking forward to this series, seems to be one of best new series of the new year, so far.
You can catch Eye Candy Monday nights at 10/9c on MTV.
You can catch recaps of Eye Candy and others on here or on The Quiet Corner

Emotions & Tensions: Parenthood: "How Did We Get Here?

image

imageThere are sometimes words that are never enough to describe tonight's episode of Parenthood. But for me the only two words that fit best would be emotion and tension.

The story began minutes after Camille called 911. We see Zeek being taken in the ambulance and heading to the ER.

imageIn one of the most emotional first openings I've ever seen on television, with seeing Zeek being taken in, Adam and Kristina looking at each other, Crosby in a hurry looking for keys, Sarah leaving and Julie and Joel sleeping made it one of the best director shots I've seen.
You would be crazy not to get at least teary eye from that.

The Braverman gather up trying to get information and helping Camille calm down. The wait. Began for them. In the meantime, Adam and Crosby got word that the luncheonette has been broken in and later been robbed of everything.

Meanwhile Sarah was supposed to give Amber her baby shower that day but it was taken care of as Sarah, Julia, Kristina, Jasmine and Camille gave her one in the ER, probably the best place right? One of the best scene was when all five gave Amber advice of motherhood that they came together and put it in a book, a tradition in the family.

The one character in this episode that grab attention would be Hank, who is trying his best to be supportive to Sarah and her family. And that led to a proposal outside the ER. Sarah never did gave an answer to him.

image
imageBut the center of the episode belongs to Zeek's health. His health isn't in a good state. The doctor has given him two options one surgery and the other is to wait. Zeek want him and Camille to make the decision without the kids involved.

I can't say how many times tears were being shed but I admitted that I cried at times. This episode is probably the definition of what Parenthood is and now that we have only three episodes left there's plenty of more tears coming.

This episode should be a hit for the Emmys for writing, directing and supportive role for Bonnie Bedelia.

Next week's episode will deal with Adam and Crosby on the future of the Luncheonette. Will Sarah accept Hank's proposal? And what will Zeek and Camille decide?

You can catch the final three episodes of Parenthood Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
