Fly Away Love: Superstore "Lovebirds"

Image result for superstore "Lovebirds"

Love is in the air at Cloud 9 in any way possible! Thursday's episode of the  Superstore "Lovebirds" was another brilliant half-hour comedy that delivered so well, even though it took place during Valentine's Day. Here's a recap!

With everyone excited for Valentine's Day, not everyone was too pleased when Dina brought all her birds to work. But when Garrett saw that in the cage was a bag of his favorite chips, he tried to get it. The birds escaped and flew away.

Dina was so upset that she tried to call her birds back to her. With Garrett feeling horrible, with the help from Jonah and Amy, he tries to help Dina, getting her hopes that they could return to her home, but they don't. Dina decided to take her mind off of her birds by having sex with Garrett, which he didn't know how to handle in the situation.

Meanwhile, Amy and Jonah, while dealing with Dina and Garrett, decide to tell each other they love them. Somehow, their saying "I love you" was underplayed while being mad at each other for handling the Dina-Garrett situation. But they made it up and headed out for their Valentine's Day date with Dina somewhere no one goes to a tofu restaurant.

After last week's episode-ending moment, Sandra started to get memorable Valentine's Day gifts. Everyone starts to think that she's pretending to have a boyfriend again. But after getting a teddy bear and a quartet sings to her, it turns out that her secret Valentine's Day happens to be Jerry.

Cheyenne helps Marcus give him a tattoo of his mother on his back as a Valentine's Day gift for his mother. But let's say that it didn't turn out that well. As for Glenn, he tries to make a video for his daughter because he doesn't see her all that much. From reading books to giving a toast to her wedding day, Glenn soon realizes that he doesn't need to manage anymore and walks off during taping.

"Lovebirds" was another hit episode for Superstore; not only did I love the situation that Dina and Garrett were put in. But I was stunned to see how the episode ended with Glenn deciding to leave his job. Also, Amy and Jonah said they love one another; it was so clever in how they said it. Lauren Ash and Colton Dunn deserve top performances of the episode. They loved the writing of the attack that it just had strong character development.  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

The Blacklist S3 Recap

There's just less than 12 hours til the most anticipated season premiere of They  Blacklist tonight at 10/9c on NBC. Season 3 blew the roof off like no other show! Let's take a short, quick recap of last season.

It was a real roller coaster at speeds that doubled at the beginning of last season. Liz and Red are just beginning their run from the law as Liz is wanted for murder for killing Tom Connolly. So, instead of leaving the city, they will stay until things cool off. They do it most fabulously: dress up as cops, steal a car, take a redesigned cop car, break into a place for some clothes and a new hairstyle, and be on their way to a guy with a shelter in his bar.

Liz had to make a couple of sacrifices to save her, and by the time she ran into the Russian Embassy for safety. But she would be safe there for much longer as Ressler and Red had to work together to save her from the Russians as she had a bounty on her head.

She does get saved, and from Red, the two are off on a trip I would call an adventure of a lifetime, but calling it gathering the pieces to fight the Cabul. There were those moments when Ressler and the FBI team would get so close to the two, but Liz and Red were two steps ahead.

Meanwhile, Cooper, out of his job, teams up with Tom Kean to help save Liz by finding the man who framed Liz.

But all the running that Liz and Red have done must end as Liz gets caught by Ressler and taken in. The Director and his team have been working with the FBI near the midseason finale, trying to capture and finish Liz.

The episode The Director, Concussion was the one that could stand out the most from that point. One of the moments was as Liz was in the safe box, The Director finally got his guy to break the code and make her suffer. Aram, being the only one there, does everything and gives him the code to release her out of the safe box. Aram runs in front of them with a gun and demands that they release her, and thank god he did because Ressler and company saved her life.

Liz still had to go through a trial, and that's where Red and his Team of 11 come in and do their version of Ocean's 11 to help save Liz and finish The Director for good.

As soon as Liz was free, she learned that she was pregnant and that it was, of course, Tom's. So the two try again to be together, and Red doesn't think he is an excellent person to be with once again.

Tom and Liz get married with a gun blazing as a new force comes to take Liz away. Everyone was on at hand to protect Liz, but when Liz and Tom made their get, things didn't look promising as Liz started to bleed. She was taken to a secure location where Red and Mr. Kaplan had a team to care for her. Soon, a baby girl was born. But Liz's health had worsened, and they had to move her. For that, they needed to get to the hospital, but it was too late, and in front of Red, she died.

We see Red, in a significant defeat, walk off and then go by himself to a place in Cape Cod to get his thinking straight until he sees someone running towards the water. She was trying to kill her, but he saved her and took care of her. Whoever this person was wasn't real, not even the bad guys that were after her. Everything he had seen and heard was through his mind, like the stay of Gone Girl.

It took Red a while to get back; thanks to Aram for turning in Red's debut that he owns him. And now the team seeks revenge on who killed Liz. It all came down to a woman named Susan Hargrave, who ordered the hit or, should I say, kidnap Liz. When Red got her, she gave the name Alexander Kirk, one of Red's most dangerous friends.

Gargrave helped Tom as the two teamed up for an ES coming later in midseason.

When they got how to get Alexander Kirk out of his secret place, the pieces for Red were in place to shoot him on site, but he didn't come as he was still in his home. The foolish thing was Tom escaped his protection and flew to Cuba, where Liz was waiting. The death of Liz was a plan from Kaplan from the time the baby was born, and boy, when Red knew about it, he was so pissed.

Liz being alive might be one of the shocking moments, but it came when Kirk kidnapped Liz and her baby. Liz is tied up in a dark room with guards, and soon Kirk comes in; he talks and tells her that he is her father.....

There have been so many twists and turns this past season that have opened a flood of stuff for the new season that no one seems to tell. Hell, the promos and trailers are former clips of the past three seasons, with only a few for season 4 with Red and Dembe.

You can catch the season premiere of The Blacklist tonight at 10/9c on NBC.

Returning to the Family: Chicago PD "Disco Bob"

I assume there will always be tension between veteran cops. In this week's episode of Chicago PD, we meet Ruzek's father, known to all as Disco Bob, an on-the-beat officer.

When a case of a murdered family is called, some tension between Bob and Voight still hangs from the past. As the team gets an observation of the crime scene, there seems to be a child that's missing from the group. Soon, the team finds a blood trail that leads to the basement and a handprint of the child.

The Voight and team go out to search for the father because, most of the time, it tends to be the father who causes these kinds of murders, right? The father's car was spotted and soon found him as he was doing a security installment job. As soon as the team found him,, hey took him to the house and questioned him.

Voight and Dawson are questioned non-stop about the father are questioned non-stop about the father. Things get challenging for the guy until he is let go. As they searched the background of the father and the victim, they had been having money trouble and that the victim was having a relationship with her boss at a low-rated newspaper.

As things heated up, Burgess and Roman, back in action, took to the streets to find the missing boy. As they found someone who knew the victim, they gave information about someone who knew them well. They stopped there and talked to the victim's friend.

That's when he told them that he might be at an abandoned house where he takes his sister and has some peace and quiet together and that sometimes he follows them. When Burgess and Roman get there, they see the basement door unlocked. As they go in, they find the boy, shot and barely alive.

How a kid who gets shothousemakes it all the way to that house is fantastic.

As soon as Voight and the team got the news, they waited until the boy got well to ask him questions about what the person looked like and looked at mugshots. When the kid saw one of the photos, he became reticent, but it was the guy.

They searched for and got him as soon as they got the name. They questioned him, and boy, did he talk.

This led to it not being the father's idea but the victim's friend, the father's daughter. He did it because her mother disapproved of him being her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, things got heated with Halstead and Linsey's relationship. The hashtag #SKINstead was trending on Twitter last night. They seem in love, but they want to take it slow. That's when we thought that Erin was going to be still working for the Feds.

But later, we find out that she has decided to come back home and be with her family where it matters instead of the crappy politics controlling.

Also, we learned about the beef between Voight and Disco Bob. Apparently, when Disco Bob kept calling Voight a dirty cop, things got heated after that.

After Ruzek learned about that, he talked to his father. His father told him that he didn't want his job controlling him and asked him why he kept the same job he's doing now...it was for him to be at his games, to take him to the movies, to be a father.

I thought that was really sweet. Things are getting back to normal right now.

The next episode will be after the Super Bowl when Fire and PD come together and get the guy responsible for killing Shay. If you haven't seen the video, check it on YouTube or nbc.com, or wait for it during the Super Bowl commercials. That would be sweet to see.
