Blood and Stone: Ghosts "Sam's Dad"/"Halloween 4: The Witch"

With the bloods runing down the walls to someone turned into stone on Halloween, here's a recap of episodes two and three of Ghosts.

"Sam's Dad"

When Sam's dad visits the mansion, he also brings his new girlfriend. But Patience has an issue with their relationship because they're not married and sleep in the same bed, which has her turning the walls dripping blood and writing "sin" as well. Frank believes that this is Sam's doing and tries to leave, but he realizes that what he had done to her in the past might be the cause.

He tells Diane that this is probably due to him not being around Sam during her childhood because of what her mother was doing. This information gets the ghosts to tell Sam about it, and Sam apologizes to her dad and confesses to the blood on the wall but, in return, performs her music recital from school that he had missed out on, which also upsets Patience.

Meanwhile, Isaac, Thor, and Flower help each other with their relationship issues, as Isaac wants Nigel out of the mansion, and Flower and Thor wish to end their threesome with Nancy. But while Isaac takes a beating from Nancy about ending her relationship, Flower and Thor don't make it any better until Isaac proposes that he leave the mansion and stay in the shed. That is until Nigel tells Isaac that he will move back into the shed, as his crew isn't happy with Isaac being there.

"Sam's Dad" was a very solid episode. Having Dean Norris as Sam's dad was pretty cool, with some heartwarming moments. I can see how Patience can be annoying to watch, but in this episode, she gets Sam and Frank to talk about their relationship and improve from there on. The story of Isaac, Thor, and Flower was also amusing, with the two trying to shoot the message with each other simultaneously, even when I knew that Flower and Thor would back out of ending it for Isaac.

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

"Halloween 4: The Witch"

When Jay asks Sam to cancel Halloween this year, they instead hold a yard sale of all the creepy, unknown stuff in the mansion. But when Patience learns what Sam has done for the past few Halloweens, she says Sam should be put on a witch trial.

Thinking this is all in good humor, the ghosts vote for Sam to be put in stone. That is until they see a statue of what looks like Sam out in the yard, with no sign of Sam being found anywhere, and Jay sells the statue to a guy who blows stuff up on the internet. Soon, Jay realizes and gets the statue back, with the cost of losing his monster statues, and tries to get Paitence to turn Sam back.

But Isaac gets Paitence to help after he tells the ghosts that she was watching television and even dancing to a commercial. But just as they get to cast their vote again, an exciting Flower hugs Jay and he knocks the statue down breaking the head off. That is until Sam actually returns due to helping Margrat move a table that she had bought at the sale and proving that Paitence can't turn people into stone, but can make the walls bleed.

"Halloween 4: The Witch" was a good and humorist episode with at times thinking that Paitence can turn someone into stone was a bit intense at times. Who the hell knows if she has one power or five powers as a ghost, right? But I'm really taking a liking to Paitence, she somehow reminds me of Mary from the original UK series. I just wonder if she's more of a recurring ghosts or supporting ghosts this season, I feel she can be a supporting ghost if she can evole and the character can develop well. Mary Holland is a very good.

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
