Helping the Soul: Blindspot "Cede Your Soul"

An app that puts on a hit, a relationship tries keeping it professional and more issues comes into one agent's life. This week's episode of Blindspot hit's another mark.

When an assassination leads Kurt and Jane to a dangerous app that allows criminals t track down and kill government agents who are protecting in government vehicles. They most work against the clock to use the app and try taking down the creator.

The one clue that helps them with the app is the owl looking figure that so happens to be on Jane's leg. They track down the creator and it leads to a hacker name Ana Montes, who clams that she's working for the CIA but later learned that she was tricked.

The case takes a turn and gets Ana to help. They track down the man that got her to make the app and tracked him down. The suspect is a bit of a step ahead so their plan was to get two steps ahead which was to explode his power source to cause a fire and get him out. The suspect didn't get out so Jane and Kurt goes back and gets him out.

The relationship between Jane and Kurt are being questioned when it gets more personal than professional. Hell, even Mayfair is thinking that Kurt is getting to personal with Jane. It surely shows but it's not an issue for me. I enjoy watching these two go at it when they try to solve these mysterious tattoos and what happen to Jane.

Kurt's sister gets him to come back home where their father is there. Kurt accepts and sits with them at the table and tells him about how Taylor was found alive. It really look like a ton of weigh has been lifted off of him, since he's dying of cancer.

Zapata deals with her gambling demons and paying her debuts little by little. That payment comes from the CIA work from given information on Jane and the investigation.

Also questions are being asked when Patterson talked to Kurt about information that she had found and hopes to do something but when he asked her to talk to Mayfair about it. Patterson explained that she would but hasn't shown anything. A lot of interesting tips of information has gone towards Mayfair and sure hasn't done anything about it. What the hell is she hiding? We do know about Project Daylight.

And also who's the mysterious man with the tree tattoo on his arm? We see him in the first scene of the episode and the final scene as well. Was that a dream that Jane had with this guy or was it real?

This episode had me on the edge of my seat once again. I enjoy watching the characters of Jane and Kurt grow and learn from one another as each episode goes on. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Patterson and Ana in this episode. Watching two solve the case, makes me wonder if Ana should stay and work with the FBI along with Patterson. Two heads are better than one.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Blindspot Monday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
