With searching and confronting who is known as Purity, Kara and the team get a dose of who she really is, but also secrets are revealed in this episode.

As Kara and the team locate where Julia Freeman was, they confront her, thinking that she may attack. When she freaks out and gets scared, her alter Purity comes out and attacks with sonic waves. But the team fights back and takes her back to headquarters.

Things takes a turn when Kara wants to confront the real Julia, thinking that she can come out and help. But Purity won't allow that and plays to Kara's hopes, which pisses Alex and wants to do it her way of getting answers.

Things get thrilling when Purity escapes and trace her to the subway where Kara and the team confront her again but this time prepared for her sonic powers. But J'onzz, Alex and Mon-El try to get everyone to safety, Kara and Purity battle, only to have Julia come back in mind. That was until Reign comes and takes her to her fortress to learn who she really is.

While in this episode, Mon-El and J'onzz have a man to man chat about marriage and secrets as it's between his love for Kara and stone face relationship with Imra. J'onzz gives some heartfelt advise and Mon-El confronts Imra about his secret but in return she returns a secret of her own, the real reason why they are here.

"Both Sides Now" was a thrilling of an episode with good character development and performance from mainly Krys Marshall as Julia Freeman/Purity, with such thrilling and chilling And not to mention the bond between J'onzz and Mon-El was not only a heartwarming moment but solid character development and watching Mon-El opening up to Imra about his feelings and then get a twist from her was a total shock. I'm thinking that they're there to help Kara or maybe that both Kara and Mon-El are meant to be. I guess we'll find out soon. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Supergirl Mondays at 8/7c on The CW.
