Twenty years after the Barones shared their final family meal with us, they will be returning on CBS for a one-night appearance only.
The Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion, hosted by Ray Romano and series creator Phil Rosenthal, will air Monday, Nov. 24 at 8/7c on CBS. The 90-minute special will feature interviews with surviving cast members Brad Garrett (Robert), Patrica Heaton (Debra), Monica Horan (Amy), Madylin Sweeten (Ally), and Sullivan Sweeten (Michael), as audiences are welcomed back into the recreated Barone living room for an Evening of nostalgia and laughter.
"The special will also include a moving tribute to Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle, whose unforgettable portrayals of Maire and Frank Barone made them fan favorites and the emotional anchors of the series," according to CBS. Cast and crew, along with surprise guests, will reflect on the legacy of the irreplaceable duo.
The celebration occurs just before Raymond's actual 30th anniversary; the series premiered on September 13, 1996, and marks the 20th anniversary of its series finale, which aired on May 16, 2005. Over nine seasons, the CBS classic received 69 Emmy nominations and won 15 awards, including two for Outstanding Comedy Series, four for Roberts, three for Garrett, two for Heaton, and one for Romano.
You can catch all nine seasons of the series on Peacock and Paramount+.
Are you looking forward to the reunion anniversary special? It really feels perfect for a show that meant so much to family sitcoms.
