NBC has laid its cards on the table for 2026–27, unveiling a fall schedule built around veteran hits, reality swings, and a few carefully placed rookies. From a 30th season of The Voice to a fresh spin on The Traitors and a rebooted Rockford Files, the network is betting that familiarity, with a twist, will keep viewers tuning in.
NBC has unveiled its 2026–27 fall schedule, becoming the second broadcast network to do so after CBS.
The season launches with NBC’s presentation of the 78th Emmy Awards on Monday, September 14 (host TBA). Then on Thursday, December 10, the network will mark its 100th anniversary with a live three-hour variety special celebrating “a century of must-see television, groundbreaking moments and iconic stars.”
On Mondays, the new Peter Krause law-enforcement drama Line of Fire will follow The Voice, which returns for its 30th season. Coaches Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson are back, joined by new coach Riley Green and a fourth coach yet to be announced.
Thursdays will feature an all-civilian version of Peacock hit The Traitors at 8/7c, leading into Law & Order: SVU, with the original Law & Order shifting to 10/9c. All of NBC’s Dick Wolf dramas are slated for 21 episodes again next season.
Friday's pair Season 3 of Happy’s Place with new multi-camera comedy Newlyweds, starring real-life spouses Ted Lenoi and Tim Daly. Jamie Lee Curtis serves as executive producer and will recur on-screen.
Held for midseason: a Rockford Files reboot starring David Boreanaz, set for January, and the Jake Johnson comedy Sunset P.I., debuting in February.
The fate of The Hunting Party, which aired Thursdays at 10 p.m. this spring, remains unresolved. With limited real estate on the fall grid, a possible move to Peacock has been floated.
Lisa Katz, President of Scripted Content for NBC and Peacock, told TVLine only that, “We’re discussing all things, and hope to have some clarity soon.”
