Hulu is wasting no time bringing Furious back for another round.
Hulu is giving Furious a second season, renewing the Emmy Rossum-led thriller unusually early, with Season 1 still rolling out ahead of its August 31 finale. The renewal comes as the series continues to build momentum, with Hulu noting that viewership has grown week over week.
Created by Liz Meriwether, Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black (Rossum) as she hunts a calculating female serial killer (Lola Petticrew), only for their paths to become increasingly intertwined. The series has also earned strong critical praise, including a 98% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy also star, with Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang and Steve Way appearing in Season 1.
With the early renewal, Hulu is clearly betting that Furious has found an audience and the streaming service isn't waiting for the finale to make its decision.
