Maybe you can go back to the kitchen.
On Saturday, Jeff Mauro of Food Network’s The Kitchen, which was canceled last year, announced on social media that one more “super” episode will air on Saturday, October 31, at 11 a.m./10 a.m. They filmed the episode back in January 2026.
Whether this is a true series finale or a resurrection that proves the network was wrong to cancel a beloved cooking show remains to be seen. All I know is that we get one more episode with our favorite cooks: Jeff, Katie, Sunny, and GZ. I’m over the moon about this announcement.
What the network has done—and continues to do—with the show is a bit heartbreaking. Once the show ended, it became one chef hosting clips from past episodes. That format worked while the show was airing, especially during COVID or for “best of” recipe collections, but it now feels like a step backward.
What do you think of the announcement? Are you excited for one more episode? Do you think this is the series finale or a new beginning? Leave a comment.
