"Recovery" (2/23/2015)

In the season premiere, TC has been suspended for his actions in the season finale, due to PTSD. To keep him busy, he's saving lives on his own time and we see him rescuing a kid who fell off a cliff.

He and another rescue worker try to get the kid up but when the kid stops breathing, TC has to do something then and there in mid air. Nothing but a something stuck in the throat and dislodging it would do.

Things have changed, Dr. Za is now in charged of the ER and not Jordan. Drew is going throw some relationship stuff with his boyfriend since last season and Michael is going through some post surgery ideal.

The season opener started off great. It felt like it even though this was the second season that it felt like a pilot for someone that hasn't seen the series. The new surgeon, Joey, seems to be interesting to watch. Plus Jordan's triangle relationship between TC and Scott makes interesting television there, I would believe.

"Back at the Ranch" (3/2/2015)

When TC is officially back from been suspended, he takes care of a woman who gets shot accidentally by her husband, who thought was an animal getting it their yard. Apparently, TC couldn't save her and takes it very hard.

I know TC is a rebel and that he thinks that he needs to save everyone that comes through those doors but he really needs to know that death somethings comes and he can't do everything to save them. Jordan tells him at least.

Meanwhile, after last week quieting being the boss and wanting to be a doctor, Michael returns and becomes a physician's assistant and well from Dr. Za and other employees, he gets some much needed treatment.

I really enjoyed Michael getting some treatment after treating others pretty badly when he was a boss.

Some of the stories this episode was pretty interesting and some cases that I couldn't understand until they figured out. Who knew that if someone drank antifreeze that beer could help or that when someone comes in with a separated shoulder pops it back in and then walks and has a head injury that's caused from concussion from playing sport.

I did enjoy the moments that TC and Joey had, I felt it was something that TC needs to listen to from someone that has been there and well has beaten the things TC has seen.  This episode had some good moments that were funny and serious.

Next week's episode will deal with one single moment that can go wrong and that wrongfulness starts a chain reaction. Hell's breaking lose in the ER.

The X-Files: I Would Want Them Back

Let me first say that I was never a fan of The X-Files at all when if first aired during it's nine year run on FOX. I never like a show that scares the crap out through my pants and can't fall asleep. I would have nightmares for months maybe years.

But a few of years ago ( I want to say summer of 2012), I've watched  The X-Files on Netflix and soon I got hooked on it. I ordered the really, original box set on DVD of the series and let me tell you that challenge of watching it too forever.

When I began with seasons one and two, I was blown away from it. Yes it was scary to this day even if this was out in 1993. Season one was pretty raid I would have to say, I loved how they had this character known as squeeze who was the scariest thing that season.

As for season two, I'd enjoyed it, it might not be my ultimate favorite season but it was still great. The Flukeman stood out of my mind when I think of season two but also that arc with Mulder searching for the truth in the episode "Anasazi."

Season three was also great but it was from season four to season seven that I really enjoyed the show. There were so much amazing story telling that those four seasons are my favorite out of the whole series.

I enjoyed episodes like "Home" and "Leonard Betts." Also not to mention the storyline of Scully's cancer. That was so remarkable that Gillian Anderson deserved that Emmy Award win.

Season five was another home run season for the series. I enjoyed that cliffhanger from season four to the two part series premiere in season five.  The story of Mulder finding the cure for Scully's cancer was just so remarkable because even if he doesn't say it that he loves her, he''l fight to the end to help her and protect her from any harm.

They made a great way into the film of the show, The X Files: Fight the Future. I love that movie so much that I play the soundtrack many times til I found something else. Also I kept playing the DVD of the movie more and more. Hell, I do recommend to anyone if they haven't seen the series that they could ether start from the beginning or this film.

I will admit that season six was a bit Hollywood type of show. There were so humorist stuff and things that didn't quite go with the form mate of the series but I enjoy it.  I enjoyed "The Beginning," "Drive," "Triangle," How the Ghost Stole Christmas," "Monday," and "Biogenesis."

In season seven, the show found its feet again and it was another great season of storytelling and plus the relationship of Mulder and Scully intense to I love you. I do think that after seven seasons that its time that these guys said it. You can hold it for so long util there's nothing left to do but go that route. I love the two part season premiere of the season. I enjoyed episodes like "X-Cops," "all things," "Hollywood A.D.," and Requiem."

 For season eight and nine, I liked it but it wasn't my top list of favorite seasons. I do think that if Mulder was taken that Scully was going to need a new partner and a partner who doesn't see what they've seen for the past seven years.

I'm not a fan of John Doggett at first but he did grew on me at the end of the series. The Scully baby was an interesting storyline for season eight. I can see that the show was losing it's steam and losing its touch that the series was once was a huge hit. I really didn't think that if Scully was going to leave that the show would have carried on with Doggett and Monica Reyes.

They could be the complete opposites of Scully and Mulder but with the original duo, it's never going to be the same.

The series finale of the series was not as bad but not as good. I see that they try to end the show but open up to the possibility that a movie or two will be in the future. It's not one of the best finales of all time but it was a decent one to end the series.

I don't even know if I want to talk about the second film or not. As soon as I watched the series finale, I watched the second feature film The X Files: I Want to Believe. It was bad but it was a bit dull when first watching it.

After the second and third time watching it, it was good. Carter said that he wanted to do a Monster of the Week storyline but that seem to not work in this case

I think that now that its 2015, we would all want another film. But when word got out a month or two ago that The X Files might get a reboot with Scully and Mulder coming back. That would be like amazingly super awesome!!! Wouldn't we want them back somehow in this new media?

Two Halves of a Whole Person: The Blacklist "The Deer Hunter (No. 93)"

In this masterpiece of an episode, yes that's right I said masterpiece. Liz and the gang are on the hunt for a killer that has resurface known as the Deer Hunter. But when she and the FBI know who this serial killer is, Red gives them the current information and things kind of turn the table in their investigation.

We learn about how the Deer Hunter kills, goes out at night, stalks and then shoots a hunting arrow. As the victim dies, the killer cuts its organs out and then hangs him upside down like a dead dear. But here's the kicker, you would think that the killer would be a he, nope turns out to be a she.

Red drops a bomb on Liz about the facts of the Deer Hunter, they take a different look and found out that this isn't the original killer but a copycat. We later see this lady in her home, she has a bunch of animals from birds to cats and she seems to out of it when she's arguing with the yellow bird.

The next day, she talks to a lady who is in an abusive relationship, she tells her about what's going to happen and also that she needs her to be equally agree. That's were we learn that the Deer Hunter works as an accountant at an abusive shelter. She kills men who stalk or beats women.

Seems like she was part of that too with her own husband. As Liz and Ressler go back to talk to the latest victim's widow, the deer hunter killers her and runs off but not without knocking out Liz and taking her to her basement.

She ties Liz up and hooks her to a wire. Then Liz wakes up and headbutts her in the face and tries to escape but the killer knocks the dumbbell weight and lefts Liz up in the air. Then things started talking, the hunter talks about how she was like those women and that men are bad.

Liz soon got sick of it and told her to get it over with and that's when she grabs her and wraps her legs around her neck. She holds her tight like Tom did with that dude in the boat episodes ago. But soon Ressler and backup came and Liz almost had killed her but let her go. It comes to term that the Deer Hunter wasn't just a man or woman, but both in Liz's case.

Meanwhile, Red on the other hand has been dealing with two things in this episode. One was setting up a meeting with this mysterious guy that he called that he got from the safe that Alan Fitch had and two to helpp Liz get out of a murder.

The meeting didn't happen because he had to meet the witness. But when he got the location of where the guy was at during the last chat, they look and find drops of blood trailing to a knocked over chair with the phone underneath.

Who is this guy and what the hell happen? We only saw him a couple of times from behind Good note, Liz and Red might be on good hands again. She told him that she has the fulcrum but she wants to know what it is. Red tells her that she's worried that once he has it that all of this would be over. I wouldn't think so.

I found this episode great with such characterization of the Deer Hunter. I found that blacklister character creepy and crazy with how we witnessed her from the start of the episode by talking to her birds like they are real people.

Next week's episode deals with Red finally getting caught from his enemies and well the bidding for him starts at an good high amount. Plus soon a certain person makes a return....

Undercover Reunion Wednesday Night Drama

The Mysteries of Laura: "The Mystery of the Exsanguinated Ex"

If you're a Will & Grace fan, this episode was the one to watch for the ages, nine years in the making. This week's episode on Laura deals with a murder, but the suspect turns out to be the person she knows, the victim's ex husband but also Laura's ex-fiancee.

There were many jokes that had both Laura and Andrew describing their time with each other, the apartment they were living at for an example. 

Besides the Will & Grace reunion, the new addition of Frankie has been a hoot to watch. Trying to fit in with the group, she asked Meredith and Billy if they want coffee because she was going out to get some. They treat Frankie as like everyone does with a newbie on the job.

But for this case, Meredith and Frankie get to work together, so there was a real opposite partnership going on here, which was funny as one goes happy and the other was mad. When they were asking the a guy that they wanted to question, he ran after throwing a big bag of flour at Frankie and Meredith runs after him and takes him down.

As the case goes on, Jake and the others think that Andrew killed his ex-wife. Laura is the only one who thinks that he's innocent, but when she does her own investigating things are looking more and more bad for Andrew.

As soon as Laura was about to put the cuffs on him, she tells him about how Andrew and the victim got married. But when he tells her that they got married on a sunny day and not a rainy day, Laura put two and two together and that turned out to be the victim's sister.

At the end, Laura and Andrew get together at her home, Andrew get hit in the nose from a football. They soon talk and then they kiss. I would like Andrew to ask Laura if there was anything to that kiss and Laura would say...na nothing.

I did love the heated ex-rivalry between Jake and Andrew. That was pretty cool. I think Jake was more clouded of jealously.

It was such a funny and happy episode to see these two back working together. I'm a fan of Will & Grace so this was like a special Wednesday night treat.

Chicago PD: "What Put's You On The Ledge"

I thought last week's episode of CPD was suspense and hilarious but this might tied it. This week's CPD dealt with Dawson going back undercover to stop a drug ring but how far will he go. The other thing was how long can Linsey and Halstead keep up their private coupling from Voight?

I will just say this, I thought the was Voight treated Linsey and Halstead was hilarious. It was like seeing the father trying to protect these two from falling in love with one another because he doesn't allow it on the team. Well, expect for Burgess and Ruzek.

Dawson goes undercover because a cop has not been heard in a while. Dawson, who last time was drugged and shot almost died, but this time he tells Voight that he'll be okay.

He meets with his old friend at the bar and ask him trying to find a job. When the guy left, he gets jumped and Dawson shoots him and ran off. I didn't think that the guy that Dawson shot was a cop.

When Dawson gets there, he meets with the boss. They give him a test, one was to rob a drug manufacturer company that had a lot of pain pills. The other was to shoot the guy that says he's a cop, who stole money from him.

When Dawson had a better idea, he get a gun to his head and soon Voight and company come in shooting. Voight gets shot and Dawson takes the boss down by stabbing him in the neck.

Later on, Dawson's friend gets a deal and the other was that the cop they rescue was stealing money from the guy.

Also, I thought Burgess and Roman storyline was cool. Peter Jacobson plays some of the best creeps on television.

And of course at the end, Linsey and Halstead agree to go on a break. I call it a break. I don't want to say break up.

Ready for Anything: Parks & Recreation "One Last Ride" series finale

The series finale of Parks and Recreation aired tonight after seven seasons on the air, and it left us thinking of what happens next.

"One Last Ride" had the group performing one last task together before moving on to their next adventure. Their task was to fix a swing at a park. As Leslie gets everyone one by one to talk and get the job done, she touches and hugs everyone, and we see the future for them.

Donna Will be living in Seattle with her husband. She's working in the retail market and has a perfect life.

April and Andy: Living in DC, they finally grow up and become parents of a baby boy, Jack.

Tom: Invest his restaurant to go public and fail, but he cashes in that failure and becomes a superstar with his book.

Ron: Resigns from his business and asks for help from Leslie to help him find something to do. He becomes that Pawnee National Park Ranger.

Garry: Becomes mayor of Pawnee so many times, he lives to be 100 in 2045. He may have aged, but his wife still looks hot.

When it comes to Ben and Leslie, we see them as the super couple they are; when they're at a party at Joe Biden's place, Jan asks Ben to run for Governor of Indiana, and someone also asks Leslie to. When they confront each other, they make a pros and cons list but decide to go and ask the group when they go to Pawnee.

As we see Ben and Leslie go into the Park's office, everyone is there, including Ann and Chris (tissue time). After each and everyone catches up, Leslie tells Ben that they should flip a coin, and whoever wins gets to run for Governor. When Leslie was about to speak, Ben announced that she was running for Governor and mentioned every reason why.

Later on, in 2035, Leslie was given a speech at Indiana University, where she was rewarded an honoree doctorate and also won a second term. Leslie's speech is about a great team she had throughout her career, and that's what makes life possible.

But at one point when Garry died, Ben and Leslie had a group of security that asked: has she become President of the United States?

When we get back to 2017, Leslie is having second thoughts, but Ben tells her that everything will be good. We get one last time with the group when Garry takes a photo. Everyone from April to Tom and Ron complains about the waiting. But when we see Leslie, she looks on and looks ready for anything. Finally, Leslie got what she wanted: to have the group together one last time.

This series finale was magnificent, giving us characters closer and an idea of what we think happens to them in the future. It's like what we got for the "Friends" series finale with what we believe happens with everyone.

There were many scenes that you couldn't help but laugh and cry simultaneously.

This whole season was, I believe, the best season throughout the series. Each episode was solid and tight, with the story arc of Grizzel and the rest of the episodes having everyone on a swan song ride along.

No holding back the tears, it was emotional. I loved the video montage of the fun times everyone had, the video of everyone hugging at the end of shooting, and finally, the honor message of "We Love You, Harris" -The Parks Crew for Harris Wittles, a producer and writer who passed away last week.

The series finale of Parks and Recreation was, as Chris would say, literally the best finale that I've seen.

The End of an Era: Parks & Recreation

Tonight's an end of an era in television, as tonight's the series finale of Parks and Recreation. For seven or six seasons, the show has been "literally" the best comedy series ever. If you watch how much this cast does playing their characters, it's mind blowing.

I remember when I fist watched Parks and Rec. It was April of 2009, the week before ER had just ended it's 15 season run and two new shows would be airing next week.

I was looking forward to see Amy Poehler in the new show. I've loved her since she was on Saturday Night Live, Baby Mama and not to mention Mean Girls as well.

After the pilot, I was hooked. I would agree if there was a choice between the pilot and the second season premiere episode, I would go with the second season because you would have a quick understanding of who everyone else is and the humor is just spot on. The writers really found the characters in the second season and after that, I sat back and enjoyed every second of the show.

Poehler might be the driving force of the show but it's really her and the ensemble cast. Nick Offerman, Chris Pratt, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe and many more. This cast lives off on one another. Each and everyone gives their best. It's like Cheers or Friends.

Who doesn't want to be friends and hang with Leslie Knope or Ann Perkins? Who doesn't want to go out and Treat Yo Self with Donna and Tom? Who doesn't want to learn the meaning of government or life from Ron Swanson? Who doesn't want to talk nerd/sports with Ben or go out running and eating organic foods with Chris? Have a play date with April and Andy and yell at Jerry/Larry/Barry/Garry? I want to do all that!

I will mention that during it's run, I was just starting community college and this show helped me calm down during finals when my stress levels were at an all time high.

So as the time draws closer and closer to when we have to say goodbye to the driving workforce of the Pawnee, Indiana's Parks Department. I just want to throw a Top 10 list of my favorite Parks & Rec episodes. I literally don't think there's a top ten list for this show, each episode throughout it's run have been amazingly outstanding.

It's going to be hard to say goodbye but when you're on top you should end on top. And I'm just saying this as a fan, for tonight's series finale, I'm serving waffles, with extra whipped cream and lots and lots of bacon. There's no proper way to say goodbye without having the #1 meal of the day that you can have any time of the day, breakfast.

This Week's Catch Up

I thought I would write up a quick recaps of the shows that I haven't written up yet. I thought I would take this time to write it up in a post called Catching Up. There are times when writing up a recap or so doesn't get done til the next day or so. So with my busy schedule going on, I think that I might be doing this for the weekend, even though this is Monday. Don't worry there's a lot more shows that I'm still catching up on. 

The Blacklist
"The Kenyon Family"

I consider this episode to be The Blacklist meets the Children of the Corn meets Waco type. When a polygamous cult leader disappears, Red has Liz and the FBI looking for them as bombings have been placed and set in vans, When they found out that kids are involved here, they never image what the outcome might be.

When Liz and Ressler found one kid alive in a place where there were dead bodies everywhere, they take her into their protection. When they head out they get stopped and run off the road. Ressler is trapped in his seat, one officer is out while Liz goes out and looks for help but when she comes back the officer is hurt badly and Ressler and the kid is gone. But not long that Liz is also taken too.

Liz founds herself tied up with a bunch of kids looking at her. The leader is in the other room talking to the polygamous that Liz has been looking for but we see later that he's been dead for quite some time with sticks in his eyes and mouth. When Liz ask to see Ressler, they bring him out and with a few minutes Liz breaks free and gets the others to freeze but soon a kid in a van not far had the other bomb but is killed by a gun shot.

In the meantime, Red is looking for the safe that Alan had told him about in the fall finale. He goes to his little friend for help locating the place. He did and got on Red's nerve on coming along and he did. They search one room and it turned out to be the wrong floor and room.

I do enjoy watching this guy get on Red's nerve. And when things cooled down from the FBI at the place where the killings happen, Red gotten in and found a secret basement, went in and found a 1960's presidential car. He soon starts it and find files and other things. He did goes back to the car and calls a number with a mysterious person answering it.  And the question: "Who the hell are you?"

This week's episode will be one of the most creepiest Blacklister so far. With the name Deer Hunter, but what would be the creepiest isn't the name but what this person does. Also the man who lied to Liz has returned, the man we hate or love, right?

The Mysteries of Laura

"The Mystery of the Alluring Au Pair"

When a woman is found dead i a park, Laura and the gang investigate and turns up that the victim was more than what they had imagine. The team search's the victim's past and found out that she was a sitter for a woman that later turned into a missing person when the victim was watching a child. Turns out that the father took the kid, due to he was upset that he didn't have any parental rights to see his kid more often but he didn't kill the victim.

As they investigate more, they found that the victim was more than what she was, turned out that she was part of a top dollar dating service. When they busted a suspect, the last person to has dated the victim, turned out not to be the person that killed her but it was the guy who gave the victim a work visa.

Meanwhile, the gang was being reviewed for miss leading relationship between two high power officers, or I'll just say after the act between Laura and Jack. The person to do the interview, everyone thought it was a dude but it was a lady name Frankie (played by Meg Chambers Steedle from Boardwalk Empire).

One of the hilarious scenes when she goes around and talks to each member of the gang one by one and tries to get them to talk. Max and Billy blew it, Meredith gave away that she's a bit jealous of how Laura gets the good cases and well, Laura tries to play her by kissing her boyfriend in-front of them.

In the end, we learn a bit about Frankie, lost her husband and is trying to find a new adventure, and that she's going to join the team since they have been under staff for a long time.

This episode was pretty good. The case may not be all that but it was surely fun to see everyone get questioned by Frankie about Jake and Laura.

This week's episode of Mysteries of Laura will have a blast from the past when Eric McCormick stops by and is trouble.

Odd Couple
"Pilot"

Probably one of the funniest new shows on television this season. Who know that Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon have a good chemistry.

Two different characters, one's clean while the other is dirty. Felix just got kicked out from his wife and is filed for divorce, while Oscar is living his life, trying to forget his last relationship and hitting on women.
The pilot was very funny, and had lots of humorist jokes about each other. I feel that Perry's characters on television is probably always going to be a sports broadcaster (thinking about him in Go On).

One of the funnest scenes was when Oscar grabs Felix out and tells him about the notes on his sports ticker and informs him about how much he hates it. Also that it took him two days that the two letters "F.U." stood for Felix Unger.

I'm interested in turning in to see where this series is going. I only say the first film and never seen the second or the Broadway show.

The Jack & Triumph Show
"Triumph Comes Home"

It's funny and yet it's awkward. I grew up watching Triumph the insult Comic Dog on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Jack McBrayer on 30 Rock. I never knew that these two use to work together on Late Night til later on. Now these two have their own sitcom, if you will, and it's one hell of a show.


The show is about Jack and Triumph, who were on a hit 80's or 90's TV show "Triumph's Boy" and when the show got cancelled, both of them faced a a spiral downhill career. And when Jack's TV mother June, played by June Squibb, takes him in to live in her house, she takes Triumph far, far away so he wouldn't be part of Jack's new life.

Years later and many, many nose sniffing to get back, Triumph comes back and brings Michael Winslow along. One of many best scenes was when June and Triumph insult one of another.  When Winslow makes a move on June, her stuff was gone.

So Jack and Triumph tries to make enough money to pay Winslow to get June's stuff back and they decided to sell autographs and stuff at comic con. In that old fashion style, Triumph goes his way insulting others while trying to get people to come to them. And well, he goes his way to getting people with signs that have Jack licking someone's hand, putting stuff on an autograph photo and the best part having someone being his mommy by wearing a rubber breast on his chest and have Jack nip it.

I couldn't stop laughing, there were so many insult jokes that there needed to be time to catch my own breath. I've never watched anything on Adult Swim but now that this show is on, I might have to. Even if there's awkward stuff in the show and breaks the fourth wall many times, its still hilarious.

Elementary: "When Your Number's Up"

I love Sherlock Holmes from books to film series and even television series as well. I enjoy the series Elementary a lot but it's not like the other series Sherlock which has a lot of character depth in my book. I caught this week's episode and even thought I haven't watched the series like a regular, I still how this version "solves" crime and his relationship with his partner Watson. 

I do hope that these two do not get involved in a relationship lie Bones ad Booth or Scully and Mulder. That would kind of ruin the whole Sherlock-Watson dynamic. But all in all, I enjoy the series much and I'm always trying to catch up when I have time for it. Heck it's pilling up on my DVR and most of the time, it gets deleted from someone else.

Elementary is on Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.

Allegiance:

It's probably one of the most dramatic series I've seen and yet people compare it to The Americans meets Parenthood. Allegiance is about when a newbie FBI agent, smart enough to solve anything, but one problem, he doesn't know that his mom, dad and sister are Russian KGB spies. Well, they're former spies until now. Things gets out of hand, mom and dad don't want to work for their former country anymore. 

There's dramatic suspense in both the family side and work side. 

This past week's episode I couldn't breath at all. Even though the CIA is in the hunt for the laptop that has files of important information. The parents work til the sound of the door being open to get the files and sneak out of the place. 

The mother is dying to tell his son the truth about them and it seems that they will tell him this week. 

Allegiance is on Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.  

State of Affairs: "Deadcheck" season finale

If you haven't seen State of Affairs, it one of the best new series on television. This season has been nothing but amazing. Amazing in a way that it doesn't disappoint and keeps you on the edge of your seat. 

Yeah there might be a lot of shows like this but it's one that I can watch and don't have to wait til the DVD comes out. 

Last week's season finale, was everything that they said it was going to be. When things didn't go the way they hopped, Charlie decided to take things into her own hands and well to go out in the field and killed the man that played them the whole time. 

Well, things get intense for both Charlie, her team and the fabulous Alfre Woodard as the President of the United States, as they are trying to take the terrorist. 

When Charlie gets there, she goes full blast shooting and all. When she was talking to the terrorist, the President meets with a man, played by Adam Arkin, who threatens the her and propose a situation. With minutes later as Charlie killed the terrorist, she tries to call the President but no answer. Soon jets are heard and she turns and sees airstrikes about to hit, leaving us with a cliffhanger. 

It was so good that I hope there's a season two but I don't think that's going to happen.
