Be Kind Go: The Good Place "Chapter 11: What's My Motivation"

Maybe instead of Pokemon Go, this would be a better version called Be Kind Go (yeah that didn't sound good but it was a thought).

When we last left, Tahani had an idea to make sure Eleanor stayed in The Good Place she can earn enough points back so that her points made sure she can stay. But that would come to an issue when looking at the points, the (fake) Eleanor actually has over -4,000 points but the average is over 1.2 million. Yeah, seems impossible right?

Tahani helped (Fake) Eleanor by doing kindness like holding doors open and saying kind things like have a nice day and such. But that seem to backfire after saying those nice things, those gave her the stink eye and nothing goes up in the points meter.

So Tahani had the idea to have a town hall kind of meeting with the people of the Good Place about Eleanor. There were a few that didn't like her because of what she has done. So Tahani had another idea to throw a party to lighten everyone to like Eleanor.

Meanwhile, (real) Eleanor and Chidi had breakfast together and she had a hidden message for him inside a poached egg, that read "I Love You." But to Chidi, he thought it was from the egg and realized that she was the one that loved him, putting him in an awkward spot and asked (fake) Eleanor for advice. That advice seemed to help in the points because it bump up a bit.

Michael figures out about Jianyu is really Jason Mendoza, who happens to be like Eleanor and also learned that he and Janet are married. Michael interviews Jason again like Eleanor but this time, it seemed that he was a lot worst than she was and literally gave Michael chest pains (Jianyu broke Michael!!!). We also learn how he died and that it was mistaken when the real Jianyu was in a meta state of mind and got crossed with Jason. Also the two have the same IQ: a seven year old mind.

At the party, Tahani and Eleanor hopes that this would work, but after a disappointing Michael gave a disappoint speech, Eleanor gave a speech about how sorry she was about the stuff she has caused. But it seemed that it just wasn't working until she made a joke with Pobody's Nerfect and got a lot of laughs, but it just didn't seem to work in earning points. But it gave Eleanor the reason why it wasn't working and went off to do what she thought was best...leaving The Good Place for good.

As she wait for the train, Janet and Jason try to leave too, because they love one another (it's so humorist Ex-Machina, right?). There a train rolls in, it's Sean, the judge, and as he gets off, the three get on and take off. As Michael tells Sean about Eleanor thinking he has a strong case, Sean tells him about them leaving on his train and we see Eleanor out the window saying sorry to everyone.

This was another superb episode that had a lot of great moments from Janet and Jason of their love for one another (especially the scene about her having many tongues) to Michael and Jason having their interview, which was second funniest behind the tongue bit. Manny Jacinto really stole this episode. Bell and Jamil work so well in this one as well. There's still a bit inside me that hopes Chidi and (fake) Eleanor might have strong feelings for one another, but I think that's just my reaction hopes from last week's episode. The writing was really good. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Powerless: New DC Universe Comedy

Coming to NBC Thursdays this February, a new team of heroes helping those from superheroes.

Powerless takes place in the DC Universe and follows the adventures of Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) as the director of Research and Development at Wayne Security (a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that's run by Bruce Wayne's cousin), that specializes on products to help ordinary humans who are victims of the battle between superheros and supervillians.

Along with Hudgens, Danny Pudi (Community), Alan Tudyk (Zootopia), Christina Kirk (A to Z), Ron Funches (Undateable), Kate Micucci (Garkfunkel and Oates and Ducktails) and Josh Fadem (30 Rock and Key & Peel) stars in the show. Developed by Ben Queen, creator of A to Z and co creator of Drive, this is the first sitcom comedy series set within the DC Universe.

Grimm "Trust Me Knot"

Trying to escape, making a bloody deal and a fun way of babysitting, this week's episode of Grimm might has been addicting just like Nick and his stick.

"Trust Me Knot" picks off where we left in the previous episode, Renard has his squad (cops) moving towards Bud's shop, while Nick sees them coming he pushes everyone back to the shop. And just before that all happens with a nervous Monroe, he tells everyone Rosealee's pregnant.

Just as that happens, Hank and Wu arrested Renard for the murder of Rachel Wood. Of course, he had no choice and it just seem so good to watch him being take down, even if it was for that minute.

Moments later the squad breaks in and grabs Nick. As they search him, one officer finds the stick and with a second later the stick just so happens to blow the squad out, out cold. Something really tells me that this isn't just a healing stick after all. That gave Nick time to dress up and divert the others out as they think that Nick got away. That gave them enough time to take the SWAT truck and drive off to some place safe, this time the underground where Monroe tells Nick there's another way in.

I don't know about you, but when Hank and Wu walked Renard in the station to the interrogation room, I just got the chills from that scene. I think watching them interview him about the murder and given his alibi, for which he tells them Bonaparte (but they didn't know that he's dead til Nick told them later).

Renard calls for a layer, Adalind, for help. She asked Rosealee and Monroe to look after the kids. Monroe worried about Diana and who wouldn't, right? But I think that babysitting Diana would be a pretty cool time, consider what she has done while Uncle Monroe was watching her. She levitated a lot jars at the spice shop making a really pretty scene.

Meanwhile, Adalind gets meeting with Renard and he asked her to help get him out. But she doesn't want to lie and get in trouble too so she turned him down (thinking of her children first). But when Nick calls her he asked for a favor about making a deal with someone who hates him. He tells her to meet him at the place where she told him she loved him (the loft or from).

As Hank and Wu bring Renard to the loft, there Nick tells him that he know where he was the night of Rachel's murder. There he tells him in order to keep that from leaking, he'll make a deal for his release and not come after him and that would be Adalind testifies where he was. With this deal there has to be common ground agreement and nothing says that like a Trust Me Knot, which is a blood oath that both keep their side of the deal: Adalind testifies for Renard and Nick can be free.

The scene with Adalind spilling blood on the rope for the trust me knot to work was amazing!!!

While back at the shop, nothing seems to work on that cloth. But when Diana comes down, she can see everything on it and draws it on paper. To them it's something that none of them: Rosealee, Monroe and Adalind has ever seen. Seems like we got ourselves a mystery here.  But while figuring that out, Trubel gets a call from H.W. and requested her to come. She has to leave but she wants Nick to come too as they're calling for Grimms. Nick tells her that he can't (after looking at Adalind).

But moments later when Hank called that Renard's trial was happening now, but that deal that they made turn out different when the Judge called for a mistrial and Renard went free, which means that the deal has been broken like it never happened. That means that Nick is back on the hiding and Adalind (even though she doesn't like it) has to go back living with Renard (for which I wouldn't agree because of Renard's meeting with the Judge and ADA about killing Nick and his friends). Renard calls one of his officers and told them to get Nick and walks out smiling.

This was a really good episode, from beginning to the end. There were some intense moments like from the beginning. There were humorist moments like Uncle Monroe babysitting Diana and Bud calling Renard "a dick." There was a lot that filled up and satisfied and also worried towards the next installment. I thought that Sarah Roz was amazing along with David Giuntoli, mostly during the can't resist holding the stick. And not to mention, Hannah Loyd as Diana. She's really stealing some great scenes. The writing was excellent. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Grimm "Fugitive" Season Premiere

I know it's been a week since the season premiere of Grimm, but I wanted to take my time by re-watching it over and over to get a feel of it and let me say: I still got the same feelings when I watched it the first time.

"Fugitive" is a real roller coaster ride of an episode as it starts from where they left off when Nick and Renard are at a standstill after Renard killed Bonaparte. From then on, he goes off to the races with the team Grimm underneath the loft, trying to find a way out. When he returns to check on Nick, he almost gets his neck cut by Trubel.

When he returns to his place, he tells her that Bonaparte is dead and that he did it but doesn't remember how. But it gives him a good guess that Diana was the one that did it. As soon as he gets his stuff h, he tells her that she should fall in love with him and that she'll pay the hard way.

Renard puts an APB out on Nck, dead or alive, for the acts that he has caused. Wu and Hank return to the station to check things out, while Monroe and Rosalee decide not to tell anyone about the pregnancy (because who knows what will happen next, right?). Nick calls Adalind to see if he's okay and asks him to come over. He gets there, and it's one of those calm moments of the episode that we'll call (for Nadalind fans) the best scene when they kiss and agree with Kelly.

When Rosealee, Monroe, Ee, and Trubel get to the spice shop, Eve and Monroepickupp pick up the dead bodies, and the hand of the dead body grabs on. Eve is in a trans and sees the guy pulling her. Rosealee calls this a death grip aandsto,p and she stops chopping. Itshabitatt seems that the stick is more powerful than we all think, and maybe not keep it for a while, but for Nick, I don't think he'll let it go.

Nick gets word about the APB out on him and hides at Bud's shop. He gets the gang back to see what he can do next. The best part would be to leave as you soon Renard gets Bud's place on surveillance,

Meanwhile, when Hank and Wu return, they get test results on Rachel Wood's Wood findings that Renard's fingerprints were over. It seems they have a hand to stop Renard.  It leaves on a nice cliffhanger that probably wanted us to wish this a two-hour premiere.

This was a great kick-off to the season premiere; in a way, it rained at 1,000 miles per hour!!! I loved it, I IIownedt, and as it ended, I w I a, need more of it. I loved the Nick/Adalind and Monroe/Rosealee scenes as they provided calmness before the intense rush came through. The writing was good, and even the actors were terrific. Overall, I give it a 9/10.

Good Fix, Not Enough Story: The Blacklist Lipet's Seafood Company"

New year, new episode!!

Thank god, The Blacklist is back!! I've been getting a little bored during the month and a half since the show's fall finale. I got to have my Reddington fix.

"Lipet's Seafood Company" is a great episode if you haven't seen the series yet (like Chicago Med). The question that we've been wondering since we heard about it in the promo is, who's the mole on the team?

Here's what stood out in this episode: One, Aram dealing with the aftermath of being hacked of highly classified information. If you remember, he got into a relationship with an enemy that he had no clue she was part of and hacked the post office. That didn't sit well with the US Attorney, and she interviewed him about it. He admits that he's horrible at picking relationships, and after knowing about Samar's mole doing (that's right, she was the mole, but to save her ex-boyfriend), he breaks off their date.

Another Liz and Tom finally get to have an everyday life. Now that Kirk is somewhere that he can no longer be found or heard, Liz and her family get to have a routine so-called life. She returns to the FBI hoping to be an agent, but it won't happen because she shot the US Attorney (Season 2). But Red, who made a couple of deals with the higher job (President-elect), soon gets her badge back.  


I found that the case this week was a bit disappointing but entertaining at the same time. There were a few perfect moments, but the case for this episode didn't stick to me like the rest. The one thing that popped into my head when seeing fish and computer chips was thinking of getting fish and chips.

Nonetheless, even though the story wasn't as strong, the actors' performance helped pull off this episode. Will I rewatch this episode down the road? Maybe. Will I remember it? It's probably from drone to cheeseburger chowder. Overall, I give this episode a 7.5/10.

A thrilling Twist: Chicago Med "Uncharted Territory"

New Year, new episodes of TV's best medical drama, and if you haven't seen Chicago Med, this episode would be the one to hook you.

"Uncharted Territory" is one of those episodes that you don't need to go back and rewatch the previous episodes to catch up. This one was like this is what Med is, and enjoy. And boy, was this episode enjoyable.

The episode had two great story plots: Dr. Manning's treating a young 20-year-old with what was thought to be one thing but goes a complete 360 when it was all done, and it didn't end on any good note. This one stunts me as a viewer who thought this kid would improve. But it did give us some excellent Manning-Halstead scenes.

The second, Dr. Choi treats two MMA fighters, two different kinds of people with their brothers hating on each other. One tries to find peace, while the other thinks it's all in the rules. It's something that Choi has seen before, and why, trying to be the ref between one another, one of the patients takes a turn for the worst and goes brain-dead. After watching a family forgive the fighter, Choi takes the fighter's brother and tries to make things up.

Others: Charles gets his head twisting and turning when he has to give his two cents on a patient who needs a new heart, but the problem is that she's had a bad past with alcohol but has been cleaned for three months with help from her daughter and willpower. But he doesn't think that's what cuts to get a new heart. I also believe that not only was his decision based on what his brother did but also on his relationship with his daughter and Rhodes.

And not to mention: April is back to work but gets worrisome news about her baby's health due to the medication that she's on. Her finances suggest that maybe it would be best to terminate the pregnancy, but of course, she won't do that at all. The two seem to be on separate terms right now.

This episode was one of the show's best so far this season. The characters drove it. The writing was so good, as was the performance from Torrey DeVitto and even Brian Tee. Manning's storyline was a roller coaster kind of a ride following it.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

A Ring of Memories: Kevin Can Wait "Ring Worm"

New Year, New Episode!!

When Kendra questions on the whereabouts of Chale, Kevin digs into it and gets a reminder of a promise that he had made long ago.


When Kevin finds out what Chale has been up to, working to save money to buy Kendra an engagement ring, it pop into Kevin's head that he promised Donna that he would get her a better one than he got her. Jumping to 20 plus years, he forgets and tries to make it right.

That leads to trouble when it comes to getting the money. He gets advice from his brother and friend about sneaking money into the account with her seeing the bank statement, that he thinks comes in the mail but didn't know you can check in online (uh oh!).

So when she sees that $6,000 was transferred into their checking account, Kevin tells her that he was going to buy and dirt bike but she disapproves it but she quickly learns from Chale that he was going to use the money to buy her a ring. After feeling bad and getting excited she plays him into getting the bike. That gets Kevin thinking that he should get the bike and not the ring and when it came time to getting the bike, Donna thinks they were getting a ring along the way.

But it was until they get to the bike shop and sees what Kevin wants to buy. Disappointed and wanting to go home, Kevin tries to get her to open the hatch on the back of the bike but after the third time he tells her, she did and sees the ring.

It lead to a really good surprise that really ended up that Donna didn't want the ring after all since her regular one contains so much memories. But she proposes to him on getting that bike and the two rides around the woods in front of the kids popping wheelies and splashing mud on Jack, their son.

This was a good episode to start the new year, there were hilarious moments at times and there were some that didn't stick out. But watching Kevin and Donna is enough in this episode to be hilarious. I find the Chale-Kendra story plot okay there was some okay moments, let along better when Kendra and Kevin were having a daughter-dad talk. Also the cold opening of the spider was funny and the breakfast scenes with the kids as well.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.
