Got to Go Back: The Good Place "Chapter 12: Mindy St. Claire" & "Chapter 13: Michael Gambit" Season Finale

The season finale of The Good Place was really the most mind blowing season finale of the television season.

"Mindy St. Claire"

In the first episode of the hour season finale, Eleanor, Jason and Janet escape the Good Place to go to the middle place. There they meet with Mindy St. Claire, the only person in the middle place that has to suffer only living by herself and drink warm beer, listen to everything sung by The Eagles live version.

Meanwhile, Chidi, Tahani, Michael and "real" Eleanor try to make a case to Sean, about how good Eleanor and Jason have been since joining the good place. They have to keep emotion out of their case or else Sean wraps himself in a cocoon. Soon, Sean messaged out to Eleanor that they have four hours to return or Chidi and Tahani will take their place.

Eleanor decides to go back and bring Jason and Janet. We learn why Eleanor became the way she has been in the real world, because of her lack of attention divorce parents. With time clocking down, Eleanor misses the deadline, but after she and Jason comes back Sean makes another offer and ask for one of the four to decide who goes to the bad place, leaving with a nice clifhanger for the season finale.

"Michael Gambit"

In the season finale, the countdown begins on who will go to the bad place.

Throughout the episode, we go back and forth to see how Michael came up with the idea for the good place. But mainly we watch Eleanor and the gang try to come up with who is going to go to the bad place and in a one of the most stunning moments of the season, Eleanor decides who will go and tell Michael that her and Chidi will go to the bad place.

Shocked from everyone, even Michael and Sean. Eleanor had figured out something that everyone and even us could have figured out, that Sean wasn't going to send them to the bad place, because the good place IS the Bad Place. And with a look towards Michael, he shows a slow growing smile and laughs. Michael tells everyone how all of this came about and it was quite clever and tells the real  reason why Tahani and Chidi are in the bad place.

After all of this, Michael calls the boss for a reset, for which Eleanor quickly figures out something to get a message when the reset happens. She writes a note and places it in Janet's mouth and as soon as Michael comes back he snaps his finger and we go back to where we first began, "Everything is Fine" But Eleanor is wearing different clothing, is introduce to the place and meets her new soul mate, a body builder and gets a message from Janet that Eleanor wrote and reads "Eleanor- find Chidi." After she reads it, she asked what's a Chidi and ends the season right there.

This hour season finale, was really satisfying and mind blowing. The"Mindy St. Claire" was an amazing episode as it really shown the character of Eleanor and not to mention Kristen Bell gives one of her best performances as well. D'Arcy Carden and Manny Jacinto really does still the episode with their goofy scene about trying to figure out how to have sex. As well as the mind-blowing episode "Michael Gambit" as when Eleanor figured out that the good place was the bad place, my mind blew up and jaw dropped through the floor. Hell, Ted Danson really gave a outstanding performance as well. It was really the most shocking moment of the television. The writing was just so damn good and keeping it under the radar was just crazy.

Overall, I give "Mindy St. Claire" a 9/10 and "Michael Gambit" a 10/10.

You can catch season one of The Good Place now on NBC.com and Netflix. Season 2 of The Good Palce premieres on Sept. 20th after the America's Got Talent Season Fianle.

"A Change and Rise" Victoria "The Engine of Change" & "Young England"

"The Engine of Change"

In a way change would come into the mind of Victoria.

In "The Engine of Change," Victoria deals with her first pregnancy and wonders if something should happen to her during childbirth, she has to choose a regent for her child. She believes that Albert should be, but the Tories doesn't think so.

It all changes when Albert gets his interest on the railroad and believes that it's the future for Great Britain, not only does he think so, he took a ride as well. This of course angers Victoria but soon changes her mind when she sneak out and hopped on and gets a real thrill from it.

With Sir. Robert Peel supporting that Albert should be named regent, all of the board members of the Tories followed along as well.

The episode clearly was majestic with scenery that it really took away some of the performance of the cast. There would be times that I was just so amused of just seeing the castle and even watching the locomotive run. The scenes with Skerrett and Charles were interesting enough to see how these two grew throughout the season and yet he impresses her with all the lavishing dishes he has served to her for a that evening with her, while Victoria and Albert were away. Talk about taking an advantage of the Royal place, right?

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

"Young England"

In the season finale, Victoria not deals with a baby soon, but deals with a matter of threats that could possibly be ordered from a royal family member.

"Young England" was genuinely not an epic finale but a superb on at that, with high drama coming in with Victoria and her final days of her pregnancy to even the moments of threats of death as one that got close to her and asked to take her away from the prison German of her husband to an assassination attempt from Edward Oxford, the first of eight to assassinate Victoria, that was pretty much get you on the edge of your seat.

Take what you will, but we would all know that Duke or Cumberland was the one masterful enough to set up an assassination since he was the one in line to take the throne if Victoria dies. It dives into some really dramatic scenes most of which watching Victoria standing up to Cumberland and walking away from him. And even a talk with King Leopold kind of gave a nice reassurance between the two after a rocky start in the season.

And of course, the birth of the future Queen as Victoria gives birth to her first child, a daughter named Victoria. It was mostly impressive that during her labor that Victoria finally calls her mother for support after what those two have gone through throughout the season as it was a lovely mother-daughter moment time.

Performances from everyone from Coleman to Hughes, even from Alex Jennings and David Oakes and Daniela Holtz too. The writing was strong that it closed out the season as it started off. Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10 and the season a 9/10.

You can catch Victoria Season 1 on Blu-ray and DVD available now, the season two will begin Sunday, Aug. 27th on ITV and in the US wil air Sunday, Januray 14, 2018.

Wedding & Order " Victoria "An Oridnary Woman" & "The Queen's Husband"

"An Ordinary Woman"

After Victoria's engagement to Albert, the two face off in some challenges before the wedding.

"An Oridinary Woman," was pretty wondrous hour of an episode so far. As Vicrotia and Albert are engaged, Victoria must come up with a price and title for Albert to have when he is married to her. But she doesn't see the need for him to have money, but things take off pretty much down slope when the Troy parliment doesn't like it and tries different opitons for Albert.

With that going on, Victoria hears about how not only her unlce still keeps his salary after the death of his wife twenty years ago, but still has an actress (mistress), but her father kept a mistress as well. Worried that Albert will have a mistress down the road, she confronts him after his salary and title offer, of which he tells her that he wouldn't have one and agreed to the terms of his title and salary.

The wedding was a complete marvlous scene to watch, witht he music and the choir and scenery it was just breathtaking to watch. I even got chills watching it.

The writing was pretty strong, even the acting from Coleman, Hughes was amazing, but also Rufus Sewell performance was good, mostly near the end when Victoria gets married that knowing he would be leaving for another position. But mostly the end where Victoria and Lord Melborne talk for one last time, he gives her a kiss and she runs off to her husband as if he was like her father.

OVerall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"The Queen's Husband"

WIth Queen Victoria and Prince Albert now married, Albert must adjust to his duties.

In "The Queen's Husband," it shows how Prince Albert adjusting to his duties for which was not much and even walking his own wife to dinner, but that was until not does he get to walk his wife to dinner but he also gets a chance to give his own speech about emblashing slavery, for which he is for. And it pretty much brings everyone together, even those that has disagree with Albert before.

Meanwhie, Victoria ask for advise about sex and how to stop getting pregnant, for which is sneaks out and jumps up and down. She admits to Alber that she's not ready but we could see that it's gonna happen pretty soon.

Also Miss. Skerrett, must get in touch with her cousin and baby even during an outbreak in their neighborhood. The Chef helps her out and in return ask for Skerrett's first born name, which is Nancy. It's the first time that the Chef really doesn't act so creepy hiting on to Nancey, as he has been for since the beginning.

This was a very good episode. It's not has strong as the previous episode but it was good enough to watch and move on. Tom Hughes was really good throughout the episode. Most memerable moments would be of Victoria jumping up and down in the middle of the night, which was hilairous and Nacey thanking the Chef for what he had done with her cousin and baby, for whihc was sweet.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

Vicotira is available on Blu-ray and DVD. Season 2 will premiere in the U.S. in Janruary 2018.

The Night Shift "Keep the Faith"

If there was one word to discribe this week's episode of The Night Shift, it would have to be honorable. That's the first word that pops into my head after just watching it.

"Keep the Faith" is a special episode of the medical drama that really shows the hearts and souls of those that have and are serviing in the US miltary. The story starts with the funneral of Mac after he died from an attack from a trouble solider in the previous episode.

A protest breaks out into a fight at the funneral, which has a few people coming into the ER with the doctors that along fought against. One that was attacked happens to be someone from Drew's past and it was a sure engaging to watch as this former soilder was running for office. There was a former P.O.W. that cames in with a headwound, asking for the doctors to take out the piece of shrapnel in his head.

There were many emotional moments throughout the episode, mostly watching the P.O.W. soilder dealing with PTSD to a momnet when he was telling Scott, Paul and Shannon about the triadition of how to remember those that lost their lives during a meal.

Another moment was when Drew steps up helps another former soilder photographer on getting a job with the senator, for a free. Her story was emotionally powerful too.

This episode really does carry a massive heart of emotion. It's example of why we should give back to those that protect us the suppor they need. The writing of this episode was so beautifully done and even the performances from the cast and guest stars as well. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch The Night Shift Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

The Perfect Match: Victoria "The Clockwork Prince"

Image result for victoria doll 123

When it comes to love, what seems to be a mismatch connection becomes a real love connection.

"The Clockwork Prince" was pretty much an episode of how Albert and Queen Victoria bonded and fell in love, in a way that was interesting and engaging. Even if we knew from the start that these two were to be married, it played so well with the characters, mainly Victoria of her feelings towards Albert.

Given that she doesn't play but challenges him as Albert does the same thing as well, making it 100 percent better than watching any of The Bachelor shows. Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes chemistary felt so real, that after watching this episode I drove right into episode five to see how things go.

And even Hell Hudson's character gave us an interesting story in this episode, showing how she's helping a family memeber and her child with money issues. As she tries to steal a few items from the Queen and that also includes a piece of her uniform.

The writing of the episode was so well written and really had my attention from the beginning to the end. Not only the performances from Coleman, Hughes and Hudson were amazing, but the rest of esnemble cast was as well. The senes when Baroness Lehzen brings in a new guy, who speaks German, plays with the rest of the house servents and gets a taste when the head speaks to him in German.

Overall, as I said before I really mushc enjoyed this episode very much. The performanes, chemistry and even story was really good. Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

You can catch Victoria on blu-ray and DVD availble now.

The Night Shift Season 4 Episodes 1-6

This season so far has been pretty much excellent for the fourth season of The Night Shift. Week in and week out, they really put their characters in situations and tell such rich stories and if you haven't seen this season yet, you need to.

The fourth season really kicked off with a big bang, as in it picked off two days after the events in the thrid season finale. With T.C. thought that he had died along with Syd, turns out that they weren't and finds an army base where no only Syd goes home, but TC decides to stay and help out along with a doctor who helped him find Syd.

The season really tapers back and forth to TC and Jordan and the Team in San Antiono very well and just as if everything was going to be find after the second episode, Jordan gets word that Topher (who was fired from Paul's father because he thinks that Topher was performng wrong of what the hospital needs) died in a car accident. It not only brought a sad tone but set the tone for the season for Jordan to run the ER and TC on not coming home til he deals with his buddy's death.

As I said before, the show brought some rich stories that the characrers have buld up on, from Jordan on being the head of the ER, Paul deciding to come back after his father tells him that he won't be his boss and father but his father. Drew gets his mother to meet his and Rick's daughter (but first they needed to save people from food poision and save a pregnant mother and her baby as well). Paul and Shannon dealing with relationship issues.

Kenny goes through a lot this season, dealing with what we thought was a new nurse, but turns out to be one hell of a doctor in Cain Diaz (Mark Consuelos). The two butted heads but have found common ground. And even Scott had a very good story, when he tries to save a young paitent, who wanted to remove the tumor on her face but her grandfather wouldn't because he was a Jehovah's Witness. The episode really brough back the Scott Clemmens that we saw before.

And even when TC got back to San Antiono, not only watching him talk to Jordan about Topher but watching them pick up the car of Topher and driivng off listening to one of his horrible music he had on. Not only was the light hearted but funny as well.

The fourth season so far has been nothing but exciting, entertaining and compelling. This esemble cast does such an amazing job along with what the writers have given as well with such powerful characters and storytelling.

Tonight the show returns with an episode unlike anyother, that's stars, directed and written by those that served in the arm forces. From what the promo has show I have no doubt that this episode will be such a moving factor.

You can catch The Night Shift tonight at 10/9c on NBC.
