The Seen of the Unseen: Bones "The Loyalty in the Lie" Season Premiere

A new season starts off with a strong emotional case. What the hell is Booth up to and why did he fake his death?

The season jumps six months, we see the Bones family all together and get to see the new bundle of joy. Booth goes off to teach his class and gives Brennan and the family one last look like he was going to do something life or death.

That leads to when the Cam and the team to a burning van where they found a body that has the same body built as Booth. Everyone thought it was Booth, until Brennan came in and took over to find out that it wasn't Booth due to a bullet wound that didn't injured one part of his bone.

I do love the montage of clips from the past years between Booth and Bones when Brennan was looking and feeling the bones. But it's not Booth but the sad part is that it's his brother Jared. I had a feeling it might be from the computer imagery that Angelia came up with.

So the hunt is on to find Booth but it doesn't seem to be a search and rescue at all but as a wanted fugitive. Seems like Booth is in a group that's stealing money and the team found his blood in someone's mansion.

Kim Raver, who's one of my favorite TV actresses from Third Watch to Lipstick Jungle, plays such a bad ass FBI agent who turns this team on their feet and is determine that Booth is going to get arrested for this doing. Give Brennan a run for his money when fighting for her man.

The show really starts off very well and ends on a cliffhanger. Booth is injured but for how long will he survive?

I know that this was a storyline to deal with David Boreanaz health scare this summer. It fits so well and gives a great tone to this season.

Overall, I give this episode a 8/10.

The Player "Ante Up"

What happens when the best doesn't go down the way it should? This episode explains that concept.

When a group of military men steal money from casinos, and Alex's next job deals with this but also dealing with a familiar face as well.

The man behind the heist is a long time military partner who's following a job that he's doing. There next job is to steal a rare diamond. He's just like Alex except that he's bad. When the bet is set for Alex to take down this job in a day, Alex looses the game.

But there is a double or nothing rule that the stakes are even higher. Alex will have to stop his friend within the hour. There was amazing fight scene that took place on the plane that was unbelievable and not to forget the scene where both Alex and his friend jumping off the plane.

But course, Alex wins the bet.

We do get to deal that maybe Alex's ex-wife isn't dead and Mr. Johnson wants to help him on that quest. Also I couldn't get enough of the chemistry between Alex and Cassandra which is like Jack and Chloe from 24. I LOVE IT!!

Overall, I give this episode a 7.5/10. It was good.

Heroes Reborn: "Under the Mask"

The hunt still continues but there are surprises all around this week's episode.

We pick up to were we left off with Miko, where she comes back to reality and fighting  against a group of security guards. Then comes Harris Prime who happens to be a hero and a very bad one too. He gets to talk to Miko and kill her but she slices his arm off. The freaky part was that his cut off arm regenerated into another Harris.

Molly Walker, the one that Noah is trying to find, is captured by a group that's run by Erica Kravid with a project called "EPIC." It's design like the Google Glasses and help find the Evos that are hiding and using Walker's powers will help with that.

Apparently Noah's lost of memory is serious than we could have thought. When he takes Quentin to the hospital, he meets up with a doctor who calls on security. He sneaks into the security office and sees old footage of himself at the hospital that he doesn't remember. There was footage of him looking at Claire's dead body. But there were moments in the footage that was lost and the only person he knows that could help is Hiro.

I can't say how much Zachery Levi's performance on this show has been outstanding. But as his character tries hunting down Evos with his wife. He might have a secret of his own when he heats up his steak as he was cutting it and then starts to look like some nuclear man that's blows up.

Also I don't want to leave out that Carlos got his ass kicked when he hunts for the man that killed his brother. But he dresses up as the mask hero that people want killed, but the shocking moment came when Carlos was taking down the cop but the cop turned out to be a Evo with super strengthen powers. Think of Bane vs. Batman. It was that kind of feeling.

This episode wasn't a mess but very good. It might jump from one story to another but these are the pieces that lead up to one big story which is how will these heroes come and help save the world. Will Noah help Molly and escape from project EPIC. How does Luke confront his new ability now that he seems to be an Evo now?

Overall, I give this episode a 7/10. It was good. Keep on pace and some really good character development stories with Noah, Luke and even the beginning of what EPIC is and doing.

The Intense of Running: The Blacklist "The Troll Framer" Season Premiere

Take a nice deep breath in......and......out. WOW! WOW! WOW!!! The season premiere of The Blacklist was nothing but intense.

The story starts just seconds after the finale; reports are out that Liz and the  Red are wanted fugitives, so they try to get out but take a detour. Samar spots the van on satellite, but a chopper and cop car follow them in the tunnel until they lose them.

Red and Liz have enough time to escape from the van, dress up as cops, and drive to a hideaway at a local bar. There, they plan to stay for a couple of weeks until the owner's sister makes the terrible mistake of tipping the FBI about them.

Ressler seems that Liz isn't a friend or partner anymore. He'll bring her in no matter what. Ressler has been a butt since Liz was framed, but I like it, and it brings in more intense scenes. Even with Copper trying to tell him the truth, he's all about justice and not about that gut feeling.

Liz and Red escape again and make it to an apartment where they disguise themselves and meet up with a blacklister known as The Troll Farmer, a group of computer hackers who help fugitives escape and draw the attention away.

I couldn't get enough of Liz and Red meeting with Martha, the housekeeper. That was hilarious and sweet at the same time.

Liz and Red talk about her mother and still ask questions about her. Soon, they get into two separate vans to draw away. That worked well until Red got out free, and Liz was still waiting behind a line of cars. Red tells Liz to move and find a place to hide, somewhere no one knows. And she did think of the only place.

As Liz walked, Ressler and Samar finally found her and chased her to United Foreign Nations, where she requested asylum.

Meanwhile, Dembe is back and is dealing with a man that scares the crap out of me. Mr. Solomon comes into Dembe's daughter's place and kidnaps his grandchild. The two had a meeting, and he was under Solomon's control.

This episode had the intensity that everyone said it had—the first twenty minutes, I had to take deep breaths.

It was a tremendous performance from both Megan Boone and James Spader. But mostly Edi Gathgi, who played Mr. Solomon, was very scary, but it was also interesting to know him simultaneously.

The season started with a huge bang; Red was on the run, Liz was playing a risky game, and things looked not in her favor at both ends.  I can't wait to see where this season will go because this show can go anywhere, anytime.

Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.

Code Black "Pilot" Series Premiere

Code Black is one of the most interesting new series of the season. It's a medical drama that sets itself pretty close to ER.

The series takes place in an LA hospital that sees more patients yearly than any other in the country and goes code black 300 times out of the year. Marcia Gay Harden plays the hard-headed, strong-witted Dr. Leanne Rorish, the ER residency director. Rorish might be a tough-as-nails doctor, but she has a heart, cares for each patient that comes through their door and tells the truth to everyone without throwing in the white lies to give anyone hope.

The cast is unbelievably good. Raza Jaffrey is Dr. Neal Hudson, the doctor who has issues with the way Rorish treats patients and medical residents as well. They might have some beef with one another, but they always respect each other, and maybe if this series could go far enough, perhaps these two could be an item.

Out of the rest of the cast, Luis Guzman is one of the best-supporting characters as nurse Jesse Salander, who manages the residents and is known as their mamma. In the pilot, the first scene comes of him introducing himself and the hospital to the new residents. It felt like Dr. Benton giving Dr. Carter the lay of the land in the pilot episode of ER.

The medical cases are suitable. I don't think the medical stories will be a massive issue in my book. I couldn't get enough of some of the stories from the older man who suffered a stroke and the teenager who fell and broke his arm, which turned out he suffered from a head injury. Bonnie Somerville's character, Christa Lorenson, saves a pregnant patient from Carbon Monoxide.

It's been a long time since ER and House that I've watched a medical drama. I don't consider Grey's to be a medical drama but more of a prime-time version of General Hospital. And I do not doubt that Code Black is a tremendous series with good writing and outstanding characters. Harden is outstanding.

Overall, I give the pilot an 8.5/10.
