FBI Most Wanted Season 1

I enjoyed catching up on the best new series of last season, FBI Most Wanted, this summer. I can't wait to share my thoughts with you!

FBI Most Wanted can be described as an innovative convergence of the FBI and Chicago PD, incorporating the dynamics of a mobile task force. This characterization may initially seem unappealing, yet I assert that it is actually captivating, as it stands as my current favorite series produced by Dick Wolf and potentially surpasses its predecessor, CBS's FBI.

The premise involves an FBI task force that adeptly resolves criminal cases and pursues individuals featured on their most wanted list, employing the familiar format of a procedural crime drama. The character development is substantial, particularly evident in Jess LaCroix, portrayed by Julian McMahon, whose character exemplifies a dual commitment to professional responsibilities and familial obligations while endeavoring to assist suspects without compromising his safety.

Furthermore, the ensemble cast is engaging and dynamic, with Kenny Crosby resembling a blend of Jay Halstead and Adam Ruzek. In her role as Hana Gibson, Keisha Castle-Hughes emerges as my preferred character, aside from LaCroix, due to her proficiency in advanced technology.

The narratives in the first season are compelling and maintain a high level of intrigue, with episodes such as "Defender," "Invisible," "Ghost," and "Getaway" exemplifying this quality. However, one must acknowledge that, for fans of the series, the highlight was undoubtedly the crossover episode with the FBI. This episode marginally secured its position as the most outstanding crossover of the previous season, surpassing the collaborations with Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. This episode was replete with cringe-worthy yet enjoyable moments.

I unequivocally recommend watching FBI Most Wanted. For those who appreciate crime procedural shows with investigative clues, robust storytelling, and a remarkably cohesive ensemble cast, this series will undoubtedly resonate with you. I give Season 1 a 9/10.

Season Two of FBI Most Wanted premieres on CBS tonight at 10/9c.
