It's the heart-pounding season finale of Chicago Med. Let's get to it!
As April gets a second chance at the NP interview, she learns that while she has an excellent resume, only one doctor (Archer) left her with a bad review. But a day later, she realizes she was accepted into the NP program.
Ethan talks with Archer about their working relationship. That is until an old patient, who still thinks he's living in the Matrix, pulls a gun on them. Goodwin distracts the shooter, but Ethan gets shot.
Ethan gets rushed to the ED, and Will, Archer, and April try to do everything they can. Archer gets a bit cocky at times when it comes to saving his friend. However, after performing spinal surgery, it looks like Ethan will be okay but will have to go through physical therapy.
Natalie's mother gets a second chance at a new heart, which goes well. But Natalie learns later that Will was fired and tries to talk him out of leaving Med. But in the end, we were left with Natalie confronting Goodwin about what happened and knowing that this would be her last time at Med.
Dr. Charles confronts a colleague about a patient treated in Russian and hopes to translate for him. But instead, he learns of what Russians did to those against them.
While Maggie was going to let things go with Vanessa, Vanessa confronted Maggie that she knew that she was her mother and told her that she didn't want special treatment from her.
"I Will Come to Save You" was such a good season finale with moments like Ethan's treatment, Natalie's mother's surgery, and Dr. Charles's as well. That was a perfect ending for both April and Natalie. April leaves the show happy that she gets accepted, while Natalie saves her best friend one last time (#MansteadForever).
I have to question Archer's motives; it has dawned on me repeatedly after being named intern chief of the ED. It might be far-fetched from the truth, but he seemed to have this going on. Am I out there?
Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
