The latest Netflix comedy is not only a delight and hilarious but it also will pull on your heartstrings.
This weekend I got to watch the latest new Netflix series "A Man on the Inside" starring Ted Danson, which is about a widower who answers an ad for a private eye investigation that has him going undercover at an assistant living facility.
Created by Michael Schur (Parks & Recreation and The Good Place) has once again created and developed another winning series with a solid cast from Stephanie Beatriz to Sally Struthers and Mary Elizabeth Ellis to strong writing and character development.
The mystery of solving of a missing necklace might not be a big mystery but the way it develops throughout the eight episodes makes it worthy it and really does have you guessing til the last episode. But it's not all about the mystery but more of about how life is too precious and the importants of being around family and friends (sounds like a perfect binge during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season).
Danson is nothing but astonishing and gives us what I would consider the performance of the television season so far. Not only does he made me laughing out loud at times, he also brought me to tears as well.
Beatriz is just as amazing and even kind of mysterious but in a good way that you'll see that through out the season. And Sally Struthers is just a knockout! I can't say anymore than that.
I highly recommend watching "A Man on the Inside." If you're looking for a charming, hilarious and heartwarming series this holiday season, make it this one (even if it isn't a holiday theme series). Netflix you better renew this series for a second season, you'll be a fool not to give one. Don't be that fool!
Overall, I give the series a 9.5/10.
