Ghosts "Ghostfellas"

If a customer isn't happy with a dish Jay serves at his restaurant, it might spell trouble for Jay and Sam in this week's episode of Ghosts. Let's dive into the recap!

Jay is excited to try out a recipe from Pete for his restaurant! However, the twist is that this recipe comes from Carol, who had gotten it from her mafia cousins. Whenever Carol's nephew, Anthony, visits the restaurant, he insists that Jay stop serving a particular dish. However, things turned around when Anthony started bringing his friends and family along. Together, they occasionally create a tense atmosphere, hoping to persuade Jay and Sam to ask for a loan, which leads to some troubling moments for the restaurant as they chase after insurance money.

In her search for a solution, Carol suggests the books she saved from the family business, hoping Jay and Sam can use them to counter Anthony's actions. However, this revelation leaves Pete feeling hurt. He realizes that Carol had been untruthful throughout their relationship, especially when he discovers she was involved with the mafia through their travel agency business. But Pete learns that the people he helped book on those travel getaways sent him cards thanking him. That is so nice!

Meanwhile, Trever and Hetty are excitedly brainstorming the next steps for their power alliance against the other ghosts. This time, Hetty hopes to encourage Flower to step out of her room, as Flower tends to get lost in her memories of Woodstock, which can be a little distracting for Hetty! Although the other ghosts realize that putting Hetty and Trever together might not be the best idea, Isaac suggests they share a room with Alberta and Thor while Flower takes over his space. However, Flower knows of Hetty and Trever's plan, but as it always happens, Flower forgets about it. Oh, Flower!

"Ghostsfellas" was a delightful episode filled with clever writing that shines through! The numerous cultural references, from Goodfellas to some hilarious Paw Patrol jokes, made it even more entertaining. It was genuinely fascinating to discover that Pete was working for the mafia without knowing about it. Rose McIvers's direction was good for her directorial debut. All in all, I give this episode an 8/10.
