Ghosts "Thorapy 2: Abandonment Issues"/"It's the End of the World as We Know It and What Were We Talking About?"

Have you caught up on the latest episodes of Ghosts? If not, don't worry! Here's a friendly recap of episodes 11 and 12 just for you.

"Thorapy 2: Abandonment Issues"

It's the anniversary of Thor's abandonment, and Sam and the others have gotten a bit worse because Thor is upset. Of course, this causes Sam to bring Thor back to therapy again, with the solution of returning to Thor's home and getting answers. But with Sam busy, it's up to Pete and his great traveling powers to get those answers. Will he get back in time before his body disappears?

After a slight hiccup, Pete returned home just in the nick of time, though he arrived with a couple of legs and an arm missing this time. Meanwhile, Thor discovers that his crew had miscounted while on the ship, and by the time they realize their mistake, it feels too late to turn back. This, of course, helps Thor just a bit, and he is okay with the truth. On the other hand, looks like Sam's going to be doing therapy for quite some time.

Jay decides to give his sister another chance to handle the supplies for his restaurant, even though he worries she might struggle again like before. However, when Trevor believes Jay's sister made an error with an order, he steps in to correct it, only to find out that his solution created an even bigger problem. Thankfully, Jay forgives his sister after Sam shares that the ghosts were trying to help fix the mistake. Jay's restaurant is on its way to becoming a family-run business!

"Thorapy 2: Abandonment Issues" was such a delightful episode! It featured clever humor and wonderful character development as Thor uncovers the heartfelt reasons behind his people's departure. I enjoyed seeing Jay and his sister working at the restaurant, which made me curious how long that excellent arrangement would last. Watching Jay and Sass share their dreams about unforgettable bonding moments was also delightful. Overall, this episode is a solid 8 out of 10!

"It's the End of the World as We Know It and What Were We Talking About?"

As opening night for Jay's restaurant draws near, excitement fills the air! Everything seems to be going wonderfully for Jay—until Flower recalls a warning from her cult leader. She remembers that February 13th, 2025, is the fateful day when mentors will arrive on Earth, and she frantically tries to usher Sam and Jay into the basement to save them before time runs out.

Unfortunately, Sam and Jay didn't have what they needed, so Flower took it upon herself to enlist the help of the basement ghosts. Together, they navigated through the restaurant staff, but it led to some unexpected troubles with cholera. Yeah, that seems about right for the basement ghost powers.

Once Flower discovers that her cult leader is mistaken, she and the other ghosts help Sam manage the cooking, pulling together a delightful ghostatouille. It was quite a moment! Although it was a success, our dear Issaic needed to speak after Jay's heartfelt speech and a staff member passed through him only to stink up the place.

Meanwhile, Trevor and Hetty battle over who gets to sit at the ghost's table at the restaurant. Hetty learns why Trevor has been doing this to her because of how she broke off things with their relationship. But amends were met and the two worked together.

"It's the End of the World as We Know It and What Were We Talking About?" was delightful! I enjoyed the Flower/Sam/Jay storyline more than the Trevor/Hetty one, although I wish it had a little more depth to dive into. This is precisely why Flower has earned a special place in my heart as one of my favorite characters on the show. Despite her occasional goofiness or forgetfulness, she always manages to see the best in everyone, which is endearing! All in all, I give this episode an 8/10.
