It seems we won't be experiencing another wave of rescues and excitement from Rescue Hi-Surf this time around.
On Tuesday, TVLine has learned that Fox has cancelled Rescue Hi-Surf after one season.
The lifeguard series averaged 2.8 million viewers (including delayed playback), ranking No. 5 among Fox's seven dramas this season. It placed third in the 18-49 demo, behind Doc and cancelled 9-1-1: Lonestar. It was the season's 10th most-watched new broadcast drama out of 12.
Although the cancellation news is a bit surprising, I really hoped the network would consider giving the series a second season. It was quite solid and managed to retain over 60% of the audience from 9-1-1: Lonestar!
