Blast to the Past: Timeless "Pilot"

Image result for timeless nbc

When a time machine has been stolen, the people of a Corporation and Homeland Security send three people, a history professor, a solider and an engineer to stop a mad man from changing the past.

Timeless seems to be one of those shows that ask more questions and only getting some answers. Abigail Spencer plays  Lucy Preston, a history professor who didn't get the tenure at a university and her mother is dying. She gets a knock from Homeland Security to come down and help after Garacia Flynn (Goran Visnjic) steals the time machine that really looks like an eye.

Lucy meets with Master Sergeant Wyatt Logan former US Army Delta Force and Rufus Carlin, engineer and coder and the three had to follow where Flynn went and that place was the night of the Hindenburg disaster.

The threes tries to find Flynn and his gang and when they learned that they're going to bring down the Hindenburg. But when they get there, the Hindenburg didn't blow up in flames like it was suppose to in the history books had said. No Flynn had a didn't idea, this one was to blow it up and kill everyone in it.

Even though Wyatt stopped the bomb from going off, the Hindenburg still went down, this time from one of Flynn's men firing a shot, probably the same people that had in the history book including a journalist that Wyatt seems to look like his late wife.

Flynn and Lucy gets to have a nice chat. He tells her that she doesn't have a clue why she's doing this but it's her destiny. Plus he shows her the book that he's using that has her handwriting, the question is how did he get it?

By the time, Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus get back, things to back to the same expect that Lucy's mother is not on her death bed and her younger sister is no longer alive. The three comes back and sees that Flynn has gone back this time to another history moment.

This shows does have that feel of The Blacklist since John Davis and John Fox are executive producers in this Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan created series. I do love some of the characters, like Spencer's and Rufus seems to be the comic relief character. Loved it when he told a Jersey cop that he better live long enough to see Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson and not to mention Barack Obama change the world.

Visnjic is pretty good as a villain, but I want to wait to see how he does more in future episodes. To me he's still Dr. Luka Kovac  from ER in my heart.

It seems that when no matter what the event will happen no matter the outcome. We saw the Hindenburg in the first scene go down from what actually happen to when Flynn and Lucy went back the Hindenburg still went down and the same people were killed. I hope that's not what each episode will do.

I've really enjoyed it. It's a show that I'll be tuning in each week. I'm a history buff myself and can't get enough of history when I was in high school and college.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Timeless Monday nights at 10/9c on NBC.

Bonding Buddies: Kevin Can Wait "Chore Weasel"

When Kevin doesn't want to wait for a package for his wife to get home, he gets someone that does in this hilarious episode of Kevin Can Wait.

When Dana gets Kevin to stay home and wait for a package that she's getting, instead of playing football with the guys, he gets someone from an app to come over and fill in as he gets his fun time with the guys.

Kevin uses the Chore Weasel app, it's like an for someone that needs help with chores. The funny thing is that even though Kevin only uses Blake, the Chore Weasel, for one thing, Dana loved what Kevin did and asked him to do more chores. That gave Kevin the idea to use Blake more and more but soon it grew more than just a job between one another as they grew closer as best friends.

The one person that knows of Kevin's scam is Chale and he asked Kevin if he could use Blake for something too, but denied. But soon, Dana and Kendra gave it more thought that Kevin was doing a lot of chores and actually doing them. So they gave Chale the bad cop good cop treatment and soon spelled the beans on Kevin.

After Kevin takes Blake to an Islanders game, the two really had a good time until Dana comes along and gets Kevin to spell the beans to her. After that Kevin and Blake was going to say their goodbyes until Blake charges Kevin for the game and the ride and totally freaked him out and also charged him with their argument. After that the two seem to broke off their friendship.

It got funny and weird when Dana asked Kevin if he heard anything from Blake and with a disappointment look, he tells her that he's Facebook requested him and got nothing. But when a beep from his phone came, he check and it wasn't Blake. Dana tried to cheer him up but ran upstairs like a teenage girl.

This episode was hilarious and better than last week's that's for sure. It had some really good jokes from the sliver alert (Amber Alert for old people), the pain is only the sign of weakness, the football game and even the last scene when Kevin ran up stairs.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Kevin Can Wait Monday nights at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Two Peas in a Pod: The Good Place "Chapter 4: Jason Mendoza"

In the previous episode, Jianyu spoke to Eleanor and told her that he's not to suppose to be here. Shocking not only Eleanor but us too.

Jianyu or Jason Mendoza tells Eleanor about how he got here and pretended to be a monk. He tells her that he was a music DJ filling in for Acid Cat, but when we learn more of his backstory, he decided that he wanted to be his own DJ and not a character.

Well, after the secret is out, he shows Eleanor his bud-hole (buddy hangout), where he plays video games and other stuff but Tahani thinks he's meditating. But soon Chidi knows about Jason and his secret thinking that Eleanor had broken Jianyu.

After Chidi finds out, soon Tahani hears Jason speak for the first time and for only that time. She thinks that Eleanor and Chidi are helping him speak, which is a good cover. Later, Tahani tells Michael about it and set up an extra place for Jason for the grand opening of The Good Plate, where at the party, the only order on the menu is the customer's favorite dish.

Michael wants to play a game, where everyone tells a special memory about their dish, as he tries to get Jason to speak, but failed when Eleanor and Chidi tries to stop it by ruining the cake and causing a sinkhole.

That was just enough to avoid Jason talking and for Eleanor and Chidi to get Jason to take their class on how to be a better person. After to agreeing, the next morning, he comes in and asked questions about if there are a soccer team and a prom. For Eleanor having a student like Jason in the class, will make Eleanor the smart one in the class, right Chidi?

This episode was hilarious! Loved Jason and Eleanor storyline in this episode. Even the bud-hole joke was hilarious, thinking that he said butt hole. The B-side story was good and funny but not like the A-story. Tahani and Michael getting ready for the opening of The Good Plates was funny not to mention the sinkhole was too.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10.

You can catch The Good Place Thursday nights at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

For All an Eternity: The Blacklist "Mato (No. 66)"

The Blacklist has done it again!!!

This episode was outstanding from the start to the tragic ending. This episode really focused on two people, Liz and Mr. Kaplan.

When Liz is in the airplane with Kirk, she soon takes the plane down, way down and hits the ocean waters. There only her and Kirk are stranded hoping for help to arrive. When a small boat comes, they are on board and just as Lix was asking for a gun from the fisherman, Kirk shoots him with his gun, that was in the toolbox.

Kirk takes Liz back on a plane where they headed off to a place known as the Summer Palace. It's the place where Liz and her parents stayed a better part of their summer. As Liz is there, she looks around and when she spots the backyard she gets flashbacks of her and her mother. She runs towards the garden where at the time she was little her mother put some special things in a container and buried it. She digs it up and finds a few things, mostly a made bracelet. She puts it on and soon the FBI shows up and Kirk is gone with the baby.

Meantime, Red and the team hit a bump, literally as Agnus is taken away again from the man I called Cuban Frankenstein, but he's name is Mato and Kaplan knows of him.  So  Red and team go back to the states where a friend of Mr. Kaplan knows how to get a hold of Mato.

After trying the guy's office, they go to the OR where he's having stomach surgery and it was sweet seeing Red walk in the OR demanding to wake the guy up. The doctor woke up him and after Kaplan tried to talk to him, Red sent in Tom to do the job and after a good couple of minutes with him, he told him how to reach Mato.

When using the number that they got, they waited for him, until Kaplan was spotted and Mato ran off being chased by Tom and Dembe, but stopped by Kaplan and the car. Red talks to Mato and told him about the story with an Indian tribe and threaten him to put him in a tight box leaving him rioting in there with no light. Mato talked and told Red that he was at the Summer Place.

As Red gave Cooper the info, Liz was saved and taken to her new home where her and Tom reunited. Red on the other hand took a long trip with Mr. Kaplan. Now throughout the episode, Kaplan knows something is going to happen to her, the question is when. Red walks with her through an acre of land, where he told a story of how he got it. But soon tells her of how she betrayed him and that even it was for Liz and the baby that he can't trust a person like that anymore. At first we would think that he was going to let her live after he told her that the land was her.....until he says for all an eternity and shoots her.

Shocking enough to see, probably one of my favorite blacklist supporting characters dead like that was enough, but when the camera came back to her we see her hand move as in grabbing on to the grass tightly. Holy crap!!! Here's a lesson for you, don't betrayed Red. I believe that's in Blacklist 101.

I loved this episode a lot. I thought that the writers handled this beautiful as we not only watch Liz go through more and more memories of her past, but Mr. Kaplan too. I have to give made propers to Susan Blommaert on a tremendous performance. Even the eerie score when Liz was going through the canister was great. Plus that song at the end too.

Overall, I give this episode a 9.5/10.

You can catch The Blacklist Thursday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
