Grimm: Tease into the Final Season

I think we've all been getting that emotional thrill that the season premiere of the final season of Grimm is near. Also I know everyone wasn't too happy with the shorten final season too, but the showrunners of the series sure wasn't.

"There was a chance that we would have gotten 22 (episodes), and we were going, 'Oh my God," James Kouf says, laughing telling TVLine and other visiting reporters along with David Greenwalt, another showrunner.

"That's a long trek," Greenwalt added. "We did that for five years."

"You know," Kouf added, "123 times through the fairy-tale world, and you start getting a little slim."

Even David Giuntoli, who took questions too and will make his directorial debut in the third episode points out how grateful with the cast that it's ending with plenty of notice.

"First of all, it was very lovely to be able to get a final anything in lifw here you know it's the final anything. It doesn't just get pulled out form under you, so that was nice," said Giuntoli as he chuckles. "I like to call it the Oregon, death-with-dignity, kind-of-our-hospice run."

With humor aside, Kouf and Greenwalt said that they had just enough "energy and the clarity and the creativity to push us through 12 great episodes" and the tease that the final three are "one giant movie."

Even Silas Weir Mitchell says that longtime viewers will be happy with the farewell tour, saying " I think (the writers are) trying to answer questions for the poeple that have stuck with us, man. The fans have stuck with us from this night to the night and this time to that time. Theyy deserve answers. They deserve the satisfaction of an ending."

Here are some teases:

1. The final season will be full of the show's hallmark nightitme scenes in the great outdoors. "It's lot of that feeling of the great, black forest/Portland look that we always loved and the fairy tale aspect of that," Greenwalt says.

2. With the season's call-backs to previous episodes: I'll say this: There will be a Hummel figurine," Greenwalt teases.

3. Bree Turner addresses out curiosity about Rosealee's pregnancy by saying: "There's been a few incidences where, yeah some fake bellies have come out. But also, but we've been real time, you know, fro the finale of last season. So in these 13 episodes, it's only technically 6 weeks. But they have done a couple of creative choices, through storytelling, that are really fun."

4. Greenwalt previews: "There's a very interesting time jump at the very end. There is some playing we time."

5. Nick has shown an unnatural attachment to the magic stick at the beginning of the season and his feelings may be mutual. "Not enterly so much as you might think begin to suspect from the beginning, but yeah, because this is too powerful for human hands to hold," Greenwalt says. The EP's also promises that "the stick definitely figures through the whole thing" and that any questions raised "will be answered."

6. And finally a tease about the series finale: "We're leaving it in a good place," Greenwalt says. "Great sorrow and great hope, you know?" Claire Coffee adds, "Everything's tied up. There are great reminders of why everybody liked the show to begin with and what really endeared the show to people. All of that comes back, tenfold."

Oh man, what could that be? In a good place. As much as I loved for Adalind and Nick to be together (because I really think they are the perfect couple in the series along with Monore and Rosealee), I'll be happy what the writers gives us no matter what. Ever since the promos have been released my mind has been in hyper drive. But also it's not the only show leaving in my life (Bones).

As much as I love ad enjoy watching a full 22-25 episode season, there are times where it gets tiresome. I love having a show doing it's final season with 13 episodes. If you look back at other shows like 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, they did their best seasons with strong, character based and storytelling ending.

The Blacklist Theory That May Not Be So Crazy

For four and a half seasons, we've been teased with the question of how is Raymond Reddington connected to Elizabeth Keen. Well, there's one crazy theory that maybe to be not so crazy as it sounds....that he may not be her father but Liz i still his daughter.

TV Guide has take one popular fan theory that has suggests that Liz is Red's daughter because Red was previously known as Katarina Rostova a.k.a. Liz's mother.

There seems to be some good evidence to back it up even though there's no episodes to give a more credence to the theory, but the fall finale. When the DNA test confirmed that Alexander Kirk, who was romantically linked with Liz's mother, was not Liz's father, but in the alone moment Reddingto told Kirk that "Elizabeth is my daughter."

And then, just when Kirk was about the plunge a needle into Red's neck, Red whispered something in Kirk's ear that made him stop short. We have no clue what Red siad to Kirk, but whatever it was, was apparently enough to make Kirk disappear from Liz's life for good.  Give or take that his exit was voluntary or not.

But later in a scene with Liz, Reddinton reiterates his previous statement that Liz's father died when she was young, and stresses that he has never lied to her. The only possible way to make both of those statements true is Liz's father is dead, Liz is Red's daughter could be true if Red is in fact, Katrina.

Known as the "Mommy Theory" this could explain why the creator and executive producer, Jon Bonkenkamp, refuses to answer whether Red is Liz's father, even when it seems like the question has been resolved within the show. When asked, Bokenkamp says "It's best to let the show speak for itself."

But there have been hints in that point the theory:

In Season 3 episode "Cape May," Red has hallucinations of encountering with Katarina, who later disappears on the beach after what sppears to be several suicide attempts, telling Red "You had no choice. it was me or Masha. But you did save me. Through her."

Since all of his interactions with the mysterious woman was in his head, some view this as merely an inner monologue, present-day Red being absolved by his former self.

Back in October, when TV Guide asked Bokenkamp whether it's possible that Liz's mother could still be alive, he replied with this: "They never did find her body. That is true. She, as the story goes, walked off into the water and committed suicide at Cape May and short of washed away. But it is true that her body was never found."

Grimm Final Season Will Answer It's Biggest Question of All

With Krampus a near, the Grimm gang has revealed some big mysteries to TVLine.

In an exclusive video to TVLine, the NBC supernatural drama's cast and executive producers give a short recap of what went down in last season finale.

Remember there was the magic stick, the tunnels oh and the creepy dolls that Diana played. Now everything is setting up for what fans can expect to see the show's final lap around.

"We;re gonna answer a couple of very large questions," EP David Greenwalt says in the featurette that TVLine has.

Also, cast members David Giuntoli, Bitsie Tulloch, Claire Coffee, Russell Hornsby, Reggie Lee, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Rozi and Bree Turner talk about what's a head, like Nick and Renard's determined to take both of them down, and what being part of the show has meant to them.

Awkward Teamwork: Timeless "The Capture of Benedict Arnold" Fall Finale

It's the fall finale and it doesn't come with a few surprises too.

We find out about that mysterious letter that Flynn found in a secret clock at the museum from the previous episode. It so happens to be a letter by Benedict Arnold about Rittenhouse and a meeting.

When Lucy and Co. get word about Flynn, they headed to 1780 and when they tried to see George Washington, they get caught instead. Just as they were waiting, Flynn comes in and gives them the opportunity to work together after telling them about the letter he found that was written by Arnold.

After some convincing words, Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus agreed to work together. They had to go to the other side (Great Britain) and fool Arnold about joining their side. When they were alone, Flynn and them tied him up and demanded answers about Rittenhouse. Here comes the shocking part (if you were think it was) that Rittenhouse is a person, not a group.

The man is David Rittenhouse, and he is a disgusting jerk as you could ever have met someone back in the late 1700s. When Arnold takes agreed and took them to Rittenhouse, things didn't go the way Flynn wanted it, that was for sure.

Apparently, they weren't the only ones trying to kill Rittenhouse. Caught in the act, everyone gets held up expect for Rufus, who's outside with the workers of the house. Rittenhouse kills Arnold and tries to kill Wyatt and Flynn til Rufus comes in and shoots the bodyguards. Then after Wyatt and Flynn were free, Flynn shoots and kills Rittenhouse but as he said that killing him wouldn't stop it. That gave Flynn the go after Rittenhouse's son, John.

When Flynn goes after John, Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus runs after Flynn to not let him kill the boy. But when Flynn gets to the boy, Lucy gets in front of him and talks him down til the boy leaves. That made Flynn grab Lucy and take her to his time machine and leave to where ever the hell they were going. I guess this would be the part in Lucy's journal that she would be traveling with Flynn.

I thought that this was a very good episode. We finally learned about what or who is Rittenhouse. I really thought that it was a group of people trying to make things their own. I thought this was a very good episode between Lucy and Flynn, as it was more of these two. The writing was good and I learned something more about Washington that I didn't know, he was called him a different name then just General.

Now this kind of open up the possibility of what will happen next. Where did Flynn take Lucy and how will Wyatt and Rufus get her back. I think we're in for a real ride when the show comes back in the new year.

Overall, I give this episode a 8.5/10
