Fire and Fury: The Blacklist "Dr. Hans Koehler (No. 33)" Season Premiere, Part 1

Thursday night aired part one of the season premiere of The Blacklist, and it seems that Liz will bring fire and fury to Reddington. Here's a recap!

The premiere opened up like any classic Blacklist opening, a group of robbers coming into the bank to rob but also ruined Reddington's plan to rob the place, too, and not only got what he wanted but took the robbers out as well. But as soon as they escape, he dumps the robbers out like trash onto the street and escapes but returns what he stole and informs the banker to return this priceless painting that happened to be stolen.

Liz and Jennifer discuss what they think and should do about how to expose Reddington for what he has done to their birth father. Of course, to Jennifer, this becomes a bonding time with Liz because she has no one else. They come to the idea of looking into the house where they were at one time or another, not to mention the place where Liz shot her father. They talked to the local sheriff about questions and planned to look up records of anyone hurt.

In the meantime, Red gives Liz and the Task Force case to look for Dr. Hans Koehler, one of the finest plastic surgeons who helped change faces, even helped Reddington. But Ressler doesn't think they should work with Red after the events in the fall finale. Liz wanted to continue working and tried looking for Koehler, but Koehler was working on someone who happened to shoot him and his team after he was done.

Red and Liz find the location where Koehler is and find his body, but he tells Red something that happens to do with a disk drive of all the names of his clients. Of course, Red got it an easier one; he's out of the list. Liz, who's acting cool, isn't doing much so when asking about Reddington's secrets, and they get into another argument about telling each other the truth.

But they know who the guy is that shot Koehler and tries to capture him but escape. He's Casein Moreau, also known as The Corsican, an assassin. But something tells me that we'll be seeing him again soon.

Also not to mention, Samar is released from the hospital but doesn't seem to be all there and not the Samar that we know. There were times when she had to think some things over, like Dembe congratulating her on her and Aram's engagement. Keep an eye out for her.

Overall, I thought that the premiere episode was indeed thrilling and intense at times, mainly between Liz and Reddington. Ever since that scene where Liz and Jennifer are talking about taking Reddington down, my heart pumped throughout the episode, wondering what will happen. Also, the first meeting between Liz and Red was chilling as well, but the hold of each other hands was a bit touching and scary, too. As much as there was the strong character development of Liz through last season and this season, I think that Megan Boone could shine this season, unlike any other season.

Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

You can catch Part 2 of the season premiere of The Blacklist Friday, Jan. 4 at 9/8c with an encore of Thursday's episode at 8/7c, too, on NBC.

Batwoman Gets Pilot Pick Up From The CW

Well, it's official Batwoman has a pilot ordered by The CW.

The CW announced that they handed a pilot order, which starts Ruby Rose ("Orange is the New Black") in the role. Rose's Batwoman made her debut in last month's multi-part Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds."

David Nutter will direct the pilot and Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries) will write the pilot and will executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns.

It's slated for a potential Fall 2019 premiere, Batwoman would follow Kate Kane, the second incarnation of Batwoman character in the DC Comics lore that was introduced in 2006. She's described as "an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter" who is "primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence."

Oh man, I'm so excited! I'm sure it'll be picked up for series before the fall season begins. Ruby Rose really stole the crossover event over the other characters Maybe if it gets picked up that it'll be placed alongside Supergirl to make it World's Finest Night on The CW.

Thrilling New Series: FBI "Pilot" Series Premiere

Image result for fbi pilot

If you're a fan of the Dick Wolf series, mainly the Chicago series, this might be a show you would enjoy. While the sequel premiere wasn't the most excellent pilot to watch, it's got some teeth and interest that makes me want to tune in.

When a bombing at an apartment building goes off twice and takes many, even a child, the FBI team of Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adom Zidan takes the case. But as their investigation begins, it leads to twists and turns as their suspects either get killed in another bombing or jail. But not only do the bombings get connected, but also the killings, as their investigation leads to a white supremacist leader, Robert Lawerance.

Just as Lawernce is on a talk show, the team searches for the last bomb that will go off any minute, which was at a prayer event. But with Agent Kristen Chazal's quick and expert in disabling the bomb, while Bell and Zidan awaited Lawernce to make a phone call to his 'lawyer" that was supposed to be a direct call to activate the bomb, but didn't

We learn through the episode more about Agent Bell, who lost her husband a few years ago as an investigating reporter, as she deals with the after-effects of the bombing in that a mother lost her child. But she gets the courage after capturing Lawernce to go to the little boy's funeral.

It wasn't the best pilot of the year, but I very much enjoyed watching this pilot and enjoyed the cast as well. The model plays so well with each other on screen. The exciting story kept me on the edge of my seat like other Wolf series like Chicago PD and SVU. Missy Peregrym is as fantastic as Agent Bell. Dallas Roberts kills as the villain in this episode, but not as great when he guestarredtar on Chicago PD. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Not to mention that it's funny with this fact that it's been 30 years since Dick Wolf and CBS were working on Law & Order, but the network passed on it and went to NBC for the next twenty years.

You can catch FBI Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
