NBC 2021-2022 Fall Schedule: This Is Us get 2022 Premiere, All Law & Order Thursday, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Gets After Olympic Premiere

 

On Friday, NBC was the first broadcast network to unveil its 2021-2022 game plan and there's something funny about it. There's no sitcom for the first time(?) on the network's fall schedule. But there's a resurgent of Law and Order.

The fall schedule will have a big Law& Order Thursday with Law & Order: For the Defense will kick off at 8pm, followed by SVU and Organized Crime. Dick Wolf now owns almost 30 percent of NBC's schedule!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's 10-episode final season will premiere this summer following the summer Olympics.

The Voice will only air one cycle next season, in the fall. 

This Is Us's final season will premiere at midseason, but the delay contains a silver lining: All 18 episodes will air uninterrupted.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Good Girls are MIA as the networks are still deciding and will make an announcement in the coming weeks.

Midseason: AGT: Extreme, American Auto, America Song Contest, Grand Crew, Kenan, Mr. Mayo, The Thing About Pam, This Is Us, Young Rock.

The fall schedule looks pretty good with the addition of For the Defense making Thursday night Law & Order night. It's kind of strange that there are no comedies in the fall. This Is Us final season holding back until midseason is a smart move and Brooklyn Nine-Nine gets the after Olympic premiere for its final season is another one too. 

I wonder if with AGT Extreme holding for midseason, will it take place of the second cycle of The Voice? That's something to see and it looks like they're going to take what American Idol has done for the past 20 years.

Brooklyn Nine Nine to End After Season 8

 

Looks like the Nine-Nine will be saying goodbye, but we have some time before that will happen.

On Thursday, NBC has announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine will wrap its run with Season Eight, which has been pushed to the 2021-2022 TV season. The farewell season will consist of just 10 episodes, which will mark the series' shortest season.

"I'm so thankful to NBC and Universal Television for allowing us to give these characters and our fans the ending they deserve," executive producer Dan Goor said. "When Mike Schur and I first pitched the pilot episode to Andy (Sandberg), he said, 'I'm in, but I think the only way to tell this story is over exactly 153 episodes,' which was crazy because that was exactly the number Mike and I had envisioned.

"I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with this amazing cast and crew for eight seasons," Goor's statement continues. "They are not only among the most talented people in the business, they are all good human beings who have become a family. But most of all, I feel lucky that we have had the best fans in the world. Fans who literally saved us from cancellation. Fans who fill us with joy. Ending the show was a difficult decision, but ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story, and our viewers. I know some people will be disappointed it's ending so soon, but honestly, I'm grateful it lasted this long. Title of my sex tape."

Brooklyn Nine-nine first premiered on Fox in 2013, where it ran for five seasons before it got canceled n 2018. Within 48 hours, NBC swooped in and rescued the cop comedy. Its seventh season wrapped last April and culminated in the birth of Jake and Amy's son Mac.

In July, series star Terry Crews revealed that the first four scripts for Season Eight had been scrapped in light of the nationwide protest against police violence following the horrifying murder of Goerge Floyd. Soon after, Samberg confirmed that B99 was "taking a set back" as the cast, writers and producers contemplated "how you make a comedy show about police right now"

As a result of the delay, we'll have to wait at least seven more months to see what changes were made.

I'll admit that I'm a bit sad and depressed that this great comedy is coming to an end. But I could have a sense that this upcoming season might be its last from the changes to the scripts and Samberg's statement about how to make a comedy about the police. But seeing that the series hasn't made the fall or spring schedule yet was the clue. 

I love this series and it's going to hard to see it go but eight seasons that's a lot of shows. We should be proud that this show lasted this long.

NBC 2020-2021 Fall Schedule

On Tuesday, NBC becomes the latest network to announce their fall schedule and just like CBS, they took it as business as usual approach.

NBC's pandemic-era fall slate will boost the return of 16 programs from Sunday Night Football (which will kick off with Cowboys and Rams Sept. 23), the top-rated This Is Us and the #OneChicago will return too.

"With the reopening of the Universal lot for select productions this week, we are confident that our schedule will premiere intact later this fall," said entertainment president chairman Paul Telegdy in a statement.

The new Elliot Stabler-centric Law and Order Organized Crime will lead out of SVU on Thursdays. While the recent renewal of Zoey's Playlist will return in the fall. And with The Voice returning, Gwen Stefani will return taking Nick Jonas' chair.

It looks like the network is staying to what CBS is doing but only adding one new series to the fall schedule. I'm super excited about the new Law & Order spinoff and even more than it's teaming with SVU on Thursday nights. After the reveal of the fall schedule, I'm a little confident that we'll see new episodes this fall. The one thing that worries me is how will the new standard be like.

Growing and Laughing: Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7

 
The seventh season of the NBC comedy literally delivers the goods, laughs, and moments that make you grabbing tissues.

The seventh season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine had really turned up not only the humor but the character development with these stories. We see Amy and Jake push their plans to have a baby, and while they try, they have some issues conceiving. Watching these two dealing with that was just brilliantly well done. But they ended up pregnant and having a baby boy in the season finale, which fits perfectly well for these two.

Meanwhile, Holt deals with his demotion from Captain to patrol officer and has a partner named Debbie (played by Vanessa Bayer), brilliant this season. And while we see Holt dealing with Madeline Wuntch's punishment, he does get his Captain position back after the death of Madeline. Rosa deals with her breakup from her girlfriend, yet her relationship with Amy grows so well this season. But it was the annual Halloween heist that happened to take three different times; it ended up her winning all three, making her the first three-time winner.

This season brought back many familiar faces from Adrian Pimento, who believed that he was being killed but forgot his memory. Doug Judy returns and has a bachelor party with Jake but has to pull a reverse heist before getting caught. Teddy returns as both he, Amy, and Rosa compete for the best stroller, but Rosa loses, but their friendship grows. J.K. Simmons comes to B99 and blows away in "Dillman," who's one of the best detectives that Holt worked with back in the day. Simmons needs to have a cop comedy series right now.

This season had a lot to give and take in as well. The writing was brilliant, and the performances were amazing as well. Melissa Fumero gave such a great performance in the episode "Trying." Vanessa Bayer was so good this season as Debbie, a patrol officer who didn't want to get into danger; but later stole drugs from the lockup for a well-known drug dealer. I felt so bad for her character. And as much as I loved the Halloween heist episodes, The Jimmy Jab Games II might have topped this season as it was just hilarious balls to the wall. Overall, I give this season a 9/10.

The Hunt is On: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Manhunter"/"Captain Kim" Season Premiee

"Manhunter" 

In the season premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, both Jake and Holt have a difficult time adjusting to the new ways. After being called to investigate an assassination attempt, Jake tries to hunt down the suspect but Officer Holt tries to help out more and more and ruining Jake's time to shine, even stealing a few lines from Jake too. As Jake gets Holt and his partner to look around on another street, Jake and Charles get the Weiner Squad, Scully and Hitchcock, to help locate hot dog stands, due to the suspect was selling hot dogs. When they learn that one corner street doesn't sell hot dogs they knew that's where the suspect was and Holt and his partner found that out literally.

Meanwhile, Rosa helps Amy with the issue that she might be pregnant and while trying to take a pregnancy test; Amy couldn't pee. That is until Terry, who's been a bit jumping on judgment, helps Amy after pissing her off which made her pee. But by the time she had to go they all had to go stop the suspect, which was hold both Holt and his partner up as hostage. Long story short...Amy knocks the suspect out and goes to the bathroom. Later she tells Jake about she thought she was pregnant and tells him that she's not but the idea of having a baby is a go show.

"Manhunter" was a hilarious season opener with all too many good things. From the Jake and Holt dynamic to Amy/Rosa/Terry scenes were just too funny. The Jake and Amy story plot was really good and opens a possible baby down the road, maybe next season. Vanessa Bayer's performance was amazing. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"Captain Kim"

There's a new Captain at the 99, will the gang be accepting?


When the new captain comes to the 99, Jack and the others have differences of opinions of what kind of person they might be. Turns out that she, Captain Kim, is nice. But both Jake and Holt don't believe a thing that she says and at a dinner party tries to find dirt that she's has a connection to Madeline but turns out that she join help fill in Holt's seat till he gets back. After that, she left the 99 and Terry becomes the Sub-Captain.

"Captain Kim" was such a fun episode especially with Jake and Holt trying to figure out about Kim and Amy trying to stop them like the hall monitor. And even Charles acting up unlike himself was just hilarious as he wears Rosa's jacket. The episode was witty and fun. While it might be the greatest episode of all time, this is sure an episode that will be great rewatching. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Renewed for Season 8

It looks like there will be more cases to solve at the Nine-Nine.

On Thursday, NBC has announced that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been renewed for an eighth season. The seventh season premieres in an hour premiere on Thursday, Feb. 6th at 9/8c, before moving to its new timeslot on Feb. 13 at 8:30/7:30c.

Renewing the show ahead of its seventh season is a very good sign that this upcoming season will be very good. Also, it could also mean that they need a veteran show for next year with the newer shows not performing well. Whatever the reason, we get more Nine-Nine.

NBC Mid-season Schedule: Manifest/Good Girls/ Brooklyn Nine-Nine Returns

On Friday NBC has unveiled its midseason schedule.

The Peacock network's game plan for the winter/spring season includes the return of Manifest, America's Got Talent: The Champions, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Good Girls.

Also, the anticipated musical dramedy Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist starring Jane Levy and Lauren Graham will get a special preview on Tuesday, Jan. 7 ahead of its official Sunday, Feb. 16th launch. Also, the new drama Council of Dads will inherit This Is Us' Tuesday at 9pm timeslot in March when it ends it's the fourth season. And Blindspot's final season will be held until Summer 2020.

Putting a Team Together: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Sicko"/"Suicide Squad" Season Finale

The season finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine not only left us laughing out loud but revisiting past characters and even one shocking moment. Here's a recap!

In the season finale, Holt signs a case of a victim being murdered by a cannibal to Jake and Charles. Holt doesn't trust their work to solve the case. Instead, Commissioner Kelly tries to help by informing them about a new tipline app. But it turns out that the app isn't really what got the case was solved; Jake and the team realize that Kelly has been tapping phones all over the area.

After learning about Kelly's tapping phones all over the city; Jake puts a team together with a team that's known as Suicide Squad of The Vulture, Chief Wuntch, and Captain Stentely. Jake's plan was to have Stentely get kidnapped and hoped that Kelly's team would make a call. Instead, it didn't work the way they had hoped it would as The Vulture's team got on the case and got Jake's fingerprints.

It was when Holt and Wuntch went to the police ball that things took another twist thinking that Wuntch was acting like her old witch again but instead she was playing Kelly. As Kelly resigned, Wuntch takes over and not only to make things better for the worst. She gives Holt a demotion as she learned in the episode that he didn't complete his training and was assigned to traffic duty. And gives Terry Holt's position. 

"Sick" and "Suicide Squad" might not have been better than the season five finale.  But it really was a good enough episode. It not only had a strong character development; but even brought back some past characters that you wouldn't think would be back. Also brought a moment that you would have thought to happen but turns out it didn't but it was still satisfying.

I really had thought that in the finale would have that surprising moment for Amy and Jake that would lead to having a baby. But Holt gets demoted was a satisfying surprise. It places the question of how the nine-nine would do without him as their captain. How will Terry be as the Nine-Nine's new captain? That would be something to see when Season seven comes next year. Overall, I give the Season 6 Finale an 8.5/10 and Season 6 a 9/10.

All Hail The Great.....: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Cinco De Mayo"

The Heist is BACK! Who's worthy of the belt?! Find out and see!

"Cinco De Mayo" gave us an episode that we hoped we would get after NBC picked up the show from FOX. The Heist is back and even though it wasn't on Halloween; it made it even better. The episode really steps it up from the previous Heist episode; even though Jake's proposal to Amy was my all time favorite, this one comes close to second.

Just when you think that either Jake could win it; because he's Jake Peralta, one of the best detectives out there. But when it stopped on an injured Terry, after all, he's gone through a lot in this episode just trying to take his mind off of the lieutenant's exam. But the shocker comes when the winner is actually Terry and the scheme that got him to win was all planned out all the way to Halloween of last year as that gas explosion was part of his plan.

As much as I have said about every episode of this season; because this has really been Brooklyn Nine-Nine's best season by far, but this was literally the best episode of the season. The writing was as strong as ever; even the character development with adding Scully's twin brother was a shock to the television viewing system. Adding Kevin to the mix made it even better and not to mention Jake and Amy tasing each other with their gifts that they got each other was just hilarious.

Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.

Gina is Back! Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Return of the King"

Gina returns and the B-Hives better watch out. Here's a recap!

In the "Return of the King," Gina returns and has become a popular motivational speaker with followers known as the G-Hives. Someone had made a death threat of her life at one of her upcoming events; so Gina calls on Jake and Terry to help find the suspect. But Jake hopes that this would bring them closer in their friendship as she keeps dodging them since she left.

When Jake and Terry spotted their suspect, they get Gina out just in time, but by the time they are at her apartment, Jake learns that she bailed on them the other night for business. As Gina tries to explain to Jake about it; she gets stabbed by the real suspect and Terry went to chase as Jake tells Gina the truth about what's been going on. Later Gina's recovering quite well with powerful meds and Jake finds out who the suspect is and soon arrested him. As Gina and Jake finally come to terms, they helped Terry reuniting with his old friend.

Holt's convinced that Charlie's son is smart; after what he thinks solved the problem. As Holt comforts Charles about it, they learn that the kid wasn't as smart as they thought as he was just in his drawing mode. Also, Rosa can't use the use of her hands due to poison oak, but she won't let that stand in her way of daily activities. That's until she gets locked in the storage closet and tries her best to get out. Amy tries to help but Rosa wouldn't let that happen until she finally calls her and asks for help. Instead of helping, Amy encourages her to get out on her own and Rosa uses her neck to unlock the door. As she gets out and celebrates; she asked Amy to help her to the bathroom.

As much as I enjoyed the return of Gina; I thought that the "Return of the King" episode was quite good. Gina and Jake's story was brilliantly well written; and strong character development between them since she left the Nine-Nine. The Rosa story was very good and hilarious. But the Holt and Charles story wasn't as good as it kind of lost interest pretty quickly. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

"Mama Maggalione!" Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Ticking Clock"

Mama Maggalione!

The Nine-Nine precinct is hit with a computer hacker, they must find him before it's could be too late. Will they stop the hacker in real time? Here's a recap!

The episode starts off with Hitchcock and Scully heating up their lasagna at the time of a normal runtime of an episode. Soon, Jake and Rosa see that Holt is not himself; as Jake believes he's having a meltdown, which he is. Someone has hacked into the precinct's computer and gets the unit to look everywhere for the suspect.

As Seg. Knox (guest star Sean Astin) tries to stop the hacker, things start taking a turn for the worst as the holding cells were opened automatic; Rose dealing not only work but a personal matter with her relationship with Jocelyn. Even Amy, who rushes from the dentist tries to get there to help as she has a bad case of the FOMOW. As the team reunites and Knox locating the suspect, Jake finally learns that the suspect is no other than Knox. The reason because he feared that my might recognized him from a previous case.

As the team comes back to Holt, Holt has a gun at his back as Knox holds a standoff with Jake and the team. But soon the timer of the oven for Hitchcock and Scully's garlic bread was distracting enough for Jake to take down Knox and arrested him. Even though Rose missed the action she fixed her relationship with Jocelyn.

Even though the garlic bread was burnt at the end; Jake advised Hitchcock and Scully to eat the lasagna without the bread, which they did.

"Ticking Clock" was another hilarious episode. The episode was so well done; with strong character development with Rosa and Jocelyn. And the character of Knox that was so well played; performed by Sean Astin. The humor throughout this episode just hit the marks and the writing was solid. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Battle for Approval: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "The Bimbo"

When Kevin asked Jake to take a case, it's a personal matter why Holt isn't asked. While it's game on for who's got the better lunch date between Amy and Terry. Here's a recap!

When Jake gets asked by Kevin about a case of three missing coins, Jake wonders why didn't he asked Holt to take it. Kevin doesn't want to ask Holt because of his embarrassment with Dean Allister. But Holt finds out about Jake and Kevin meeting and takes on the case with Jake. That's until Jake and Holt talk to Allister about the missing coins and Holt loses his confidence, but after finding a clue of a footprint Jake and Holt confront the Dean and accuse him of stealing the coins.

Later Jake confronts Holt about the embarrassment that he just went through again. Holt uses Jake's advise and figured out who actually stole the coins that turn out to be the janitor. Later Kevin shows his temperament to the dean and even shows his feelings towards Holt.

Meanwhile, Amy and Terry take the crew out for lunch but it gets competitive from taking them out to a steakhouse to corny dogs and karaoke. But the crew and staff have had enough and decides to leave them, but Terry and Amy apologies.

"The Bimbo" was a very good episode. I just loved how the episode really puts Holt on the spot about an incident that made him vulnerable and not to mention his relationship with Kevin grows as well. Even Jake giving Holt some advice about dealing with fancy professors was a funny and special moment. The lunch fight was a very good storyline and so interesting to see how they went from low call to up the game. Which team would you pick to go to lunch with? I might have to with Amy. The episode had strong character development and the writing was solid.  Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

Personal Growth: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "The Therapist"/"Casecation"

"The Therapist" 

As Jake deals with one of his enemies, Holt tries to meet Rosa's girlfriend and Terry deals with a personal matter. Here's a recap!

As Jake is asked to help on a case that involves a Therapist; who's worried about his patient killing another patient. Of course, Jake doesn't like therapists, but even more this one and he believes that after looking into the suspect's apartment that the therapist could be the suspect.

Soon Jake sneaks in the therapist's office and found his notes on the patents. After trying to sneak out, he gets stopped by another therapist who thinks she's her new client who has a multiple personality disorder. But as soon as the suspect leaves, Jake leaves and doesn't escape with the evidence quietly as the therapist stops him and takes him on a ride; but he gets stopped by Charles after Jake text without looking.

Meanwhile, Holt invites Rosa and her girlfriend to dinner with his husband; but she doesn't want to because of Holt's judgmental comments. Soon he meets her and it turns out that he was being tested with an actress, but later on, Holt finally meets Rosa's girlfriend and enjoys her sense of humor.
Also, Amy hands over a box order of books that have Terry's name on it as it's for how to spice up your sex life. Terry denies the whole thing that he doesn't need help in the bedroom, but after having Scully pretend that the book was his, it's true for Terry.

I will admit that at first "The Therapist" didn't grab my attention at first but after watching it over and over again I really enjoyed it. There were good moments and moments that I kind of forget that had happened in this episode mainly the Terry storyline.

I thought that the Jake storyline in this episode was outstanding with such strong character growth; as Jake deals with a murdering therapist but also admits that he needs to see a therapist. And the Holt and Rosa storyline was probably a better highlight of the episode than what it was shown. It not only made me laugh but broke my heart and warmed my heart by the end. Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

"Casecation" 

With a witness under protection in the hospital; it's a casecastion for Jake and Amy that leads to one of the most personal matters in their marriage.  Here's a recap!

With a witness is in the hospital;  Jake and Amy work together to protect from whoever is trying to get him killed. This gives them finally the time to spend together; calling it a "casecation."  Amy soon drops a bombshell to Jake that she wants to plan to start on their family, but Jake isn't too thrilled about it; soon gets into a modified debate. After Holt and many, many others being the moderator, Jake finally admits why he doesn't want to have kids; he's afraid that he could be just like his dad, who wasn't a good one.

So a suspicious person comes on the floor and Rosa and Amy took down, but he was only a distraction. As soon as Jake and Terry walk towards them; Jake figures out who the hitman would be, Pam, one of the patients at the hospital. It turned into a standoff and Jake talks her down and was handed the gun.
When things were cooling down; Jake tells Amy that he doesn't need to think about having a baby anymore that he's ready. He decided after handling the situation with Pam that he could actually be good at parenting. And all things end very well. 

"Casecastion" was another great installment episode. I could eat this episode up so much with the character development of Jake and Amy. I think that Jake was the focus of the episode with his decision to whether he wants to have a family with Amy or not. Personally, I understand Jake's thoughts on the situation with his dad issues and all.

 This episode was another milestone moment in the series. I think that maybe by the time the season ends Amy and Jake will begin their family. Amy Samberg gives an amazing performance. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

"The Flies Don't Lie" Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Gintars"

As Jake helps Charles with a family problem; Rosa and Terry think that Amy and Holt's favorite forensic guy could be a fraud. Here's a recap!!

When Jake noticed that he and Charles are being followed, they lose him just enough to surprise him. But it would be a surprise to them as it was Gintars, Charle's adoptive son's real father. Charles lets his son bond with Gintars and soon it starts to worry on him. After hearing all the moaning and groaning, Jake tries to help and gets Gintars to confess that his GAPE clothing company is fake and gets him arrested. After stopping the whole arrested with Gintars, Jake fixed it and apologize to Charles for his  helping, but added with two best friends hats that happen to not fit/

As Rosa and Terry have a hard time closing a murder case of locating blood; Holt and Amy summoned Dr. Yee, a forensic guy that specializes with flies that can indicate blood. Of course, Amy and Holt go gaga over him but Terry and Rosa have a feeling that he's not all that great til Rosa got to try them out and learn that Yee's flies can't indicate blood. Yee confesses to Holt and Amy and apologize, but Rosa got to use those flies by getting a confession out of the suspect.

Meanwhile, Terry has been going throw bug issues at home; and not only shaved his eyebrows but bleach his goatee as well. Even with a peel on fake eyebrows it still didn't help as everyone still made fun of him.

"Gintars" was a very good episode. As much as I enjoyed the Amy/Holt/Terry/Rosa storyline; it was the Jake/Charles storyline that was one that I enjoyed the most and probably one of my favorites between the two characters. The episode had strong writing and performances from Samberg and Truglio. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Flashback Truth: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "The Tattler"

At their 20th High School reunion, Jake learns the truth about his past nickname while Gina realizes a life-changing moment  Here's a recap!

As Jake and Gina head to their 20th high school reunion, dressing up like they would have back then, But when Jake, Gina, and Amy get there, everyone one brings up the story of Jake being the tattler. After many, many encounters with former classmates, Jake and Amy got to the bottom of things and figured out who was the one that made him the tattler. As Amy got a name, Jake talks him but learns that it really wasn't him. It was Gina.

As Gina tells everyone about what she's been doing with her life from making Marvel movies to developing a new app for baby called Todddddler that's like grinder but for babies for playdates.  But as Jake interferes with her story, Gina confesses to Jake about why she did what she did to make him the tattler. She did it to protect him from what would have become a bad situation because the guy that nickname Jake was in jail.

But later after things were fixed, Gina and Jake had a sit-down and chat. During that chat, Gina thinks of leaving the 99 to pursue her interest and Jake, of being the friend that he is, ordered her to leave the 99.

Meanwhile, Holt gets pulled into Terry, Hitchcock, Scully trying to figure out the sound for a radio contest. With Holt thinking that it's not productive, turns out he got into it when he thinks the sound id from a yogurt cup being opened. But turns out it wasn't it and it was potato chip bag. After that Holt admitted to having a lot of fun and began to listen with Terry and others listening to the next contest sound. 

"The Tattler" was a very good episode. I loved the Jake and Gina storyline as it was brilliant but also had that feeling near the end that this was going to be the beginning of the end of Gina. It wasn't too pushy but so organic in developing the character. It also gives me another reason not to go to high school reunions. Also, I couldn't get enough of Holt thinking that what Terry and others were not productive and quickly gets into it. Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Hoot! Hoot!!: Brooklyn Nine-Nine "Honeymoon" Season Premiere

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is back and the season premiere doesn't miss a beat! Here's a recap!

We pick up right where we left in season 5 finale, Holt is about to make his good news announcement until he realizes that he was not going to get the commissioner spot. But Jake, who didn't learn of the news to go get his boom box to celebrate, starts dancing to celebrate's Holt's announcement.

As Jake and Amy go on their honeymoon to Mexico, they see that Holt is there too. He not only is getting away from the Nine-Nine but also making Jake and Amy's honeymoon a real bummer. Holt complains and complains to them about why it shouldn't be this guy and what's wrong with him while wearing funny vacation t-shirts.

But just as Holt decides to leave, Jake learns that he's gonna quit his job. Jake drags him back to his room while Amy is dressed up as Bonnie Bedelia from Die Hard. Using Charlie's gift, they tie Holt to the bed with rose petals all over and try to convince him that he should stay at the Nine-Nine. That was until Amy was done hooting to her mentor and gives it to him straight that really got him to reconsider and went back to work.

Meanwhile, at the Nine-Nine, Rosa asked Terry for advice about a case that she's been working on that but waste management is getting in the way. Terry gives his Top Dog Terry advice but all options didn't work. Trying to look for Holt's manual for answers, he finally gets it from Rosa who got it from Gina that was holding it. Terry learns that Holt trusts him for his decision making. Also, Charlies is upset that Gina's mom is divorcing his father and tries to figure out why. When he sneaks into Gina's phone, he sees that she advised her mother to do it. Gina explains that she did it because her mother was cheating on his father.

A week later Jake and Amy return to the Nine-Nine and run into Holt, who thanked them. But also to tell them that the Nine-Nine will be sharing floors with homicide. Oh boy!

"Honeymoon" was an excellent episode premiere. The show never missed a beat and even was probably better than what they were when they were on FOX. Amazing performance from the ensemble cast and even the writing was as strong too. I enjoy a lot of the threesome of Amy, Jake, and Holt in Mexico that was just hilarious. Also, I think the move of the Nine-Nine to share with Homicide was a spoof of the show moving from FOX to NBC.  Overall, I give this episode a 9/10.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine gets Premiere Date for NBC Thursday

Freeze! You have the right to get excited and dancing! 

NBC has announced that Season 6 premiere Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be on Thursday, Jan. 10th at 9/8c, which will be its regular time slot. With the current 9pm slot, Will & Grace will be moved up to 9:30/8:30c beginning Thursday, Jan. 31.

The premiere will be followed by new episodes of The Good Place at 9:30/830c. The Kristen Bell led comedy will air in that timeslot through its Jan. 24 season finale, that of which Will & Grace will take over. The rookie sitcom I Feel Bad that's currently airing at 9:30 will complete it's season 1 run to December. No decision on the series future has been made but will be made at a later date.

Superstore will go on a temporary hiatus following it's fall finale but will return to the Thursday lineup in March. But filling that timeslot void will be The Titan Games, the latest new NBC's upcoming athletic competition series hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, which premieres Thursday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c.
