NBC 2021-2022 Fall Schedule: This Is Us get 2022 Premiere, All Law & Order Thursday, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Gets After Olympic Premiere

On Friday, NBC was the first broadcast network to unveil its 2021-2022 game plan and there's something funny about it. There's no sitcom for the first time(?) on the network's fall schedule. But there's a resurgent of Law and Order.

The fall schedule will have a big Law& Order Thursday with Law & Order: For the Defense will kick off at 8pm, followed by SVU and Organized Crime. Dick Wolf now owns almost 30 percent of NBC's schedule!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine's 10-episode final season will premiere this summer following the summer Olympics.

The Voice will only air one cycle next season, in the fall.

This Is Us's final season will premiere at midseason, but the delay contains a silver lining: All 18 episodes will air uninterrupted.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Good Girls are MIA as the networks are still deciding and will make an announcement in the coming weeks.

Here's the Fall Schedule:

MONDAY:

8/7c The Voice

10/9c Ordinary Joe (NEW)

TUESDAY

8/7c The Voice

9/8c La Brea (NEW)

10/9c New Amsterdam

WEDNESDAY

8/7c Chicago Med

9/8c Chicago FIre

10/9c Chicago PD

THURSDAY

8/7c Law & Order: For the Defense (NEW)

9/8c Law & Order SVU

10/9c Law & Order: Organized Crime

FRIDAY

8/7c The Blacklist

9/8c Dateline NBC

SATURDAY:

8/7c Drama Encores

9/8c Dateline Saturday night Mystery

10/9c SNL Encores

SUNDAY

7/6c Football Night in America

8/7c Sunday Night Football

Midseason: AGT: Extreme, American Auto, America Song Contest, Grand Crew, Kenan, Mr. Mayo, The Thing About Pam, This Is Us, Young Rock.

The fall schedule looks pretty good with the addition of For the Defense making Thursday night Law & Order night. It's kind of strange that there are no comedies in the fall. This Is Us final season holding back until midseason is a smart move and Brooklyn Nine-Nine gets the after Olympic premiere for its final season is another one too.

I wonder if with AGT Extreme holding for midseason, will it take place of the second cycle of The Voice? That's something to see and it looks like they're going to take what American Idol has done for the past 20 years.

A week from tomorrow begins a new series called The Brave. If you haven't seen or heard by now about this show that's coming to Monday nights after The Voice.

The Brave is a fresh, heart-pounding journey into the complex world of American's slite undercover military heroes follows Captain Adam Dalton (played by Mike Vogel ("Under the Dome")) and his heroic Special Ops squad of highly trained undercover specialists carry out each mission on the ground. His team is armed with incredible sniper Sgt. Jasmine 'Jaz" Khan (played by Natacha Karam ("Homeland")), CPO Ezekiel 'Preach' Carter (played by Demetrius Grosse ("Justified" and "Banshee")), combat medic Sgt. Joseph 'McG; McGurie (played by Noah Mills ("2 Broke Girls")) and intelligence officer Agent Amir Al-Raisnai (played by Hadi Tabbal ("The Blacklist" and "House of Cards")).

This team works hand-in-hand with D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricai Campbell (Anne Heche ("Dig" and "Aftermath")) and her team of analysts including veterans Cultural Specialist Noah Morgenthau (played by Tate Ellington ("The Blacklist" and "Shamless")) and Mission Coordinator Hannah Archer (played by Sofia Pernas ("Jane the Virgin")), as they wield the rowlr's most advanced survellance technology from headquarters in D.C.

All members of this elite squad, both in D.C. and across the world, have one thing in comon: their resilence and commitment to freedom is unmatched by any other. Often facing insurmoutable challenges, the teams works tirelessly to get the job done and to prevail in even the most complex situations. Week after week, the team uses that along with their unbreakable bond to save lives of innocent people and excute missions in some of the most dangerious places in the world.

The Brave is created by executive producer Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life"). Matt Corman ("Covert Affairs") and Chirs Ord ("Covert Affairs") are the showrunners and executive producers and Avi Nir ("Homeland"), Alon Shtruzman ("Dig"), Peter Traugott ("Do No Harm") and Rachel Kaplan ("Do No Harm") also serves as exective producers. Produced by Universal Television and Keshet Studios.

I've seen a lot of promos from network and cable, even online and on the raido. It's certainly got my attention as something different but the same team drama that we would see in other shows. I'm sure this show will give us the drama that will makes us move on the edge of our seats.

You can catch the series premiere of The Brave Monday, Sept. 25 at 10/9c on NBC.

Monday Night Kickoff to the Fall Season

As America's Got Talent finale was the kickoff to the end of summer and the Primetime Emmy Awards the start of the fall. That means the 2016-2017 television season kicks off tonight with big season premieres, sneak peaks and series premieres. So let's start with tonight's lineup of shows to watch:

8/7c The Voice (NBC): The singing competition show just grab it's third Emmy win last night. After what we saw last season, the show steps up in their coaches with Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. Ever since the news about these two joining I've been thrilled and the promos, trailers and even the Olympic sneak peak has me pumped up to tune in and see how Blake and Adam can handle some real competition.

8:30/7:30c Kevin Can Wait (CBS): Kevin James is back on CBS and he returns in a new family comedy. James plays a newly retired police officer who's looking forward to quality time with his family and his fellow retired cops. But when his oldest daughter announces she's dropping out of college to support her fiance, Kevin knows his only choice is to move them both into his home to keep her in school. The run has to wait as his family is his new beat. From the promos and trailers, this really looked good.

9/8c Lucifer (FOX): It was one of the most weirdest but yet interesting new shows I've seen last season. When Lucifer is tired of working for his dad, he takes a vacation. As he runs a nightclub and having some fun, he sees those that gets away with crime. Works with Det. Chloe Decker, the two butt heads and solves crime together but not with difficulties for Lucifer as he loses he mortality and feels what real pain feels like. But when season two comes, word is out that his mother has escape prison and on the loose, probably looking for Lucifer.

10/9c The Good Place (1 Hour Sneak Peak) (NBC): After The Voice is a sneak peak of one of the most talked new comedy of the fall, The Good Place. Kristen Bell plays Eleanor Shellstrop, a woman who gets killed by a tractor-trailer carrying erectile dysfunction products, wakes up in the afterlife. But when Michael (Ted Danson) tells her that she's in "the good place because of her good deed of by helping innocent people off death row, but she realizes that a mistake has been made and they think she's someone else. This show looks amazing! I mean, a place where no one curses or gets drunk clever, mostly the curses words being uses ("fork" or "bull-shirt"). As I mention it, it's only a hour sneak peak (2 episodes) but it'll move to it's regular time and day Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c after Superstore. The Good Place should be on everyone's must watch list!
