CIA (S1, Ep. 2) "Fatal Defect"

CIA’s second episode, “Fatal Defect,” shifts from spectacle to psychological stakes, delivering strong character drama. The series hits its best when focusing on core relationships rather than gadgets and chases. After a flashy pilot, the slower pace in this episode works well, trading spectacle for tension, and using a grounded espionage case to test Glass and Goodman’s fragile partnership.

The result? A slightly predictable case… but a very intriguing character twist. Here's a quick recap before I break down why this episode stands out.

St. Denis Medical (S2, Ep. 13) "A New Best Friend"

Grab your popcorn: "A New Best Friend" earns a glowing 8.5/10 for mixing shameless workplace feuds with heart, making this one of St. Denis Medical’s funniest, most relatable episodes yet. Can your husband be friends with your most narcissistic coworker? For Alex, the answer involves a harebrained scheme and a massive order of grass seeds. Here's my recap and review of "A New Best Friend."

St. Denis Medical (S2, Ep.10–12) "This Is From Joyce"/"Senior Health Fair"/Nod and Agree"

The second season of St. Denis Medical truly shows how well the show balances the hectic hospital scenes with hilarious workplace moments that sometimes get a little awkward. Episodes 10 through 12 continue this great mix, blending emotional moments, funny surprises, and some unexpectedly touching interactions between characters. Here's my recap and review.

St. Denis Medical (S2, Ep. 8-9) "A Waste of Time and Marble"/"You're in His Bubble Space"

It all starts with a hospital-wide gasp as Sanderson drops to one knee right in the middle of the ER, catching everyone—especially Joyce—by surprise. This is just the first of several twists in Episodes 8 and 9, where St. Denis Medical pivots from the usual hospital hustle to dive into the staff's personal lives. The heartfelt shift adds new depth to the comedy, especially for characters like Joyce and the ever-complicated Matt and Serena. Here's my quick recap and thoughts.
