Leap into Faith: The Good Place "Chapter 22: Leap to Faith"

Just when you thought that things could go wrong, it goes so so right.

Picking up from the cliffhanger from the previous episode, Shawn meets with Michael. Just when things start to intense, you would think that it's probably that Shawn figured out what Michael was doing, but turns out that he still thinks that phase two is a success. And gives Michael a promotion for his success.

Soon, Michael summons Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason and tells them (once again) that they're in he bad place in front of Shawn and a metal handcuffed Janet, who's drunk from the metal. Eleanor and the gang are pretty confused thinking that Michael went behind their backs but Eleanor thinks that Michael is still on their side.

With the town celebrating, Michael gives Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani and Jason a big celebrity roast, making fun of them one person at a time, and then throwing the biggest trash party in town, because it was going to be no more after. Soon, Vicky, who's been trying to get Michael to tell Shawn that she gets credit for the success, sees Michael talking into Janet's ear and tries to get Janet to tell her what he told her, not to mention trying to take the cuffs off her.

As soon as morning rise and the last song was to be played, Michael and Shawn sees that the gang is leaving on the train to the middle place. Upset about it, Shawn gets everyone on the train, that includes a troubled cocooned Vicky, who admitted that she tries to take the cuffs off Janet. When Michael gets Bad Janet to scan the place for the mortals, no one was found and soon the trains leaves.

As the train leaves, Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, Jason and Janet were all underneath the train. Eleanor looks at Michael and gives one of the shocking most heartwarming moments of the episode as he was really with them. After a hug-fest, Eleanor explained how they, mostly her, figured out the clues that Michael left for them from mentioning Kierkegaard to Derek Borties, who's actual name is Blake Borites of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Jason's favorite QB, as signs for them to do like get Derek to drive the train to Mindy St. Clair making Shawn and them feel that they left.

This is the genius of what The Good Place is all about with great creative writing and strong characters that really enjoying but also gives you those twist and turns of is this happening. "Leap To Faith" might be the best episode so far this season, as this season has been a home run. Ted Danson, once again, shines in this episode playing Michael that you really don't know if he actually turns on Eleanor and the gang or not until the very end. I very much enjoyed this episode a lot. Overall, I give this episode a 10/10.

You can catch The Good Place Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
