Listen: Chicago Med "Bite Your Tongue"

With more changes coming to the ED, the drama continues this week on Chicago Med. Here's a recap.

With Ripley facing jail time for his questionable whereabouts on the attack, he gets word from Goodwin that he must tell the hospital board committee about what really happened that night if he was there or not. Of course, Asher tries to convince him to tell the truth, but it all leads up to Ripley giving no comment as he is protecting his friend after learning his cancer has grown.

Asher, who has been picking up extra shifts as Med has been making layoffs, deals with a pregnant woman who's had some questionable about what happened. Even Dr. Charles gets involved to prove his point that she has not been taking her medicine for schizophrenia for fear of harming her baby. But when she gets released, she returns with a head trauma from an accident.

Archer and Lenox try to make things simple in the ED, but it becomes who gets what kind of cases and patients instead of being simple. That is, until both of their patients show the same symptoms, what happened with Dr. Frost gets them to agree to work together.

Frost is making good company at Med this week as he treats a teen who learns that his cancer is back. But instead of his parents telling the truth, they say to him that the surgery would help make him cancer-free. Of course, that leads Frost to try to convince them that they are wrong to do so, but that doesn't stop them or Frost from telling their son about it, which gets him a bloody nose.

The episode ends with Ripley trying to turn himself in, but instead, he sees Sully in handcuffs, which leads him to Asher's place, where he asks her what she did. It seems like their relationship just got a little complicated, even after that good morning at the beginning of the episode.

"Bite Your Tongue" was an excellent episode. Once again, it featured interesting medical cases and good character development with some of the ED's residents, like Frost. Marci Miller (Abigail from Days of Our Lives) was fantastic and made me wish she would return to Days.

Even ER's Sharif Atkins, who played the father of the cancer patient that Frost treated, gave such solid performances. Also, watching the socials during this show and seeing that there are folks who remember him on ER always makes me smile. I think that the outcome of Sully's arrest might make Rasher's relationship a bit complicated. And I love Archer and Lenox's working relationship; they seem to be two minds in similar ways, which could be good or bad.

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.
