Seeing Is Believing: Chicago Med "Blurred Lines"

How will Hannah deal with last week's traumatic loss, and who returns to Chicago Med this week? Here's a recap!

After last week's traumatic episode of Asher losing a mother, she deals with it by picking up extra shifts at Med, making herself exhausted. While checking in on Baby Ruby, she sees the father and avoids him.

Speaking of last week's Dr. Lenox supervising the staff, she implies that everyone should be a part of a multidisciplinary discussion, which Asher was the first to be a part of, and it didn't go as smoothly as anyone had hoped (thanks, Archer!).

Ripley and Charles deal with a case of a woman with chemical burns in her eyes only to learn that she was the one who did it to herself. Charles finds the brilliant idea of bringing in someone who just started their first day back, Nurse Jackie (who returns to Med), and talks to the patient about her struggles. It made such an impression that the patient decided to seek help.

Ripley also helped with Frost's patient, who believes something fishy about the patient's father. It turns out that the patient is actually the father and not his daughter asking for prescriptions for his conditions due to the cost.

Sharon finds a broken picture frame in her office, thinking it had to be someone who wrote that threatening note. Apparently, that wasn't the case, as one of the maintenance men accidentally hit the frame with his tool.

Archer gets a message from his girlfriend about meeting to talk; she lets Sean go due to his different treatment opinions. That discussion goes south quickly, and Archer learns that Sean is leaving to stay with his mother.

As for Ripley and Asher, he apologizes for his actions towards her and explains that he got a lecture from Sully about his behavior. While picking up the night shift with Hannah, Ripley tells her he wants to be someone she can lean on. Damn, if I wasn't a fan of #Rasher now, I'm totally on board now.

"Blurred Lines" was another solid episode with good character development and writing. I loved that they brought back Natalie Zea as Nurse Jackie. I thought she was such a good character in the ED and served a good purpose for the week's case as well. While I'm happy to see #Rasher together and moving forward, I feel Archer needs to rethink his actions with Margo. With the threatening note still lingering, I feel like this storyline is coming sometime before the fall finale. Who could it be?

Overall, I give this episode an 8.5/10.

What did you think of the episode? Glad to see Nurse Jackie back in the ED? Happy for Rasher to be back together? How long do you think the Goodwin threat last? Leave a comment.

You can catch Chicago Med Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC and streaming the next day on Peacock.
